Avon 60, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 48

AVON — Three players scored in double figures to lift Avon to a boys basketball win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Friday.

Avon’s Landon Thury recorded 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Aziah Meyer logged 13 points and five rebounds. Jaden Stahl had 11 points and five assists. Trace Pelton posted eight points and six rebounds. Noah Watchorn had five points and four rebounds. 

ACDC’s Anaias White Eyes recorded eight points and four assists. Tyson Cournoyer logged seven points. A.J. Johnson had six points and nine boards. Peter Backes and Garth Maas scored six points apiece. Kashton Garcia scored five points. 

 



McCook Central/Montrose 48, Flandreau 47

FLANDREAU — Mason Sabers banked in a half-court shot at the buzzer to lift McCook Central/Montrose to a boys basketball win over Flandreau on Friday. 

Boston Katzer led the Fighting Cougars with 19 points. Ty Morrison added 11 points in a winning effort. 

Sophomore Paul Parsley led Flandreau with 15 points with Alfie Henderson recording 11 points. 


Viborg-Hurley 56, Baltic 28

VIBORG — A balanced scoring attack helped Viborg-Hurley earn a win over Baltic in boys basketball action Friday. 

Gage Goettertz and Brady Schroedermeier each recorded 10 points for Viborg-Hurley. Bryson Morrison added nine points, two rebounds and four assists. 

Jack Erickson led Baltic with seven points. 

 



Rapid City Christian 58, Lakota Tech 55

PINE RIDGE — Class A No. 5 Rapid City Christian improved to 11-0 as it edged Lakota Tech in boys basketball action on Friday. 

Julius Frog finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. Benson Kieffer added 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Elijah Hoyt had 13 points and eight rebounds, while Sam Fischer recorded 10 points and seven rebounds. 

Quincy Means scored 13 poins for Lakota Tech. Jamiah Bianis and Domonic Ghost Bear each scored 11 points for the Tatanka. 

 


Dakota Valley 73, Tri-Valley 52

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley stayed undefeated with a boys basketball win over Tri-Valley on Friday. 

Jaxson Wingert recorded 23 points and nine rebounds. Isaac Bruns logged 20 points and 10 rebounds. Randy Rosenquist added 14 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Jaxon Hennies added 11 points. 

Tri-Valley stats were not reported.

Castlewood 77, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 25

OLDHAM — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 5 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Lane Tvedt logged 25 points, while Jamison Keszler scored 11 points. Bryon Laue added 10 points and nine rebounds. Jackson Schofield had six points, while Bowen Ryan scored five points. 

ORR’s Riley Schneider had 10 points, while Cooper Merager scored six points. 


De Smet 73, Estelline/Hendricks 29

ESTELLINE — Class B No. 3 De Smet used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a boys basketball win on Friday. 

De Smet’s Damon Wilkinson logged 17 points and eight rebounds. Kasen Janssen added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Kadyn Fast and Thomas Aughenbaugh posted 11 points apiece, while Fast grabbed five rebounds. George Jensen had seven points and five rebounds. Trace Van Regenmorter and Tristan Olson scored six points apiece. 

Estelline/Hendricks’ Braxton Pravecek scored seven points. Braxton Saathoff and Caden Ching scored six points apiece. 


Leola/Frederick Area 56, Langford Area 48

LANGFORD — Leola/Frederick Area picked up a boys basketball win over Langford Area on Friday. 

Noah Kippley scored 13 points, while Brayden Sumption added nine points. Hans Lapka, Sam Vetter and Winston Clark scored seven points apiece. 


Freeman 60, Menno 34

FREEMAN — Freeman picked up a win over Menno in boys basketball action Friday. 

Tate Sorensen led Freeman with 15 points and six rebounds. Ethan Balvin had 11 points, while David Walter and Rocky Ammann added eight points apiece. Luke Peters and Evan Scharberg added seven and six points, respectively. 

Hayden McNinch led Menno with 14 points and five rebounds. Kadeyn Ulmer recorded nine rebounds, five points and three assists for the Wolves. 


Jones County 58, Kadoka Area 49

Kadoka — A well balanced scoring attack helped Jones County to a win over Kadoka in boys basketball action Friday. 

The Coyotes were paced by Cooper Fedderson’s double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Jett Nix scored 11 points while Jace Nix chipped in with 10 points.

Garrett Hermann led Kadoka Area with 14 points. Gus Stout scored 10 points and Layne Palmer added eight for the Kougars. 


Beresford 80, Canton 45

BERESFORD — Beresford picked up a boys basketball win over Canton on Friday. 

Andrew Atwood finished with 22 points, while Tate VanOtterloo had 17 points. Malachi James and Jake Goblirsch had nine points apiece. 

Canton’s Cain Wallner scored 13 points and Derek Tieszen added 12 points. Jacob VandeWeerd scored nine points. 

Watertown 37, Rapid City Stevens 29

RAPID CITY — Watertown picked up a road win over Rapid City Stevens in boys basketball action Friday. 

The Arrows were led by Jake Olson who posted 10 points and 10 rebounds. Dylan Rawdon scored nine points with Caden Beauchamp adding six points and five rebounds. 

The Raiders were led by Dayler Segrist who finished with nine points and six rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Lincoln 74, Sioux Falls O’Gorman 61

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win over Sioux Falls O’Gorman on Friday. 

Tate Schafer finished with 22 points and nailed six 3-pointers. J.T. Rock added 21 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots. Jack Hilgenberg had 11 points. Elliot Whitney logged nine points, while Braxton Mohr finished with five points. 

O’Gorman’s Radley Mauney tossed in 26 points and hit six 3-pointers. Gavin Muirhead posted 15 points and nine rebounds. Zander Benz had nine points and seven rebounds. Matthew Eng logged five points and eight rebounds. 

 

Rapid City Central 70, Brookings 51

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Rapid City Central picked up a boys basketball win over Brookings on Friday.

Rapid City Central’s Shun-Zi White Women tallied 21 points, while Lincoln Archambault logged 16 points. Jet Janvrin totaled 13 points, while Cooper Totten added seven points.

Brookings was led by Nate Lease with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Austin Clark had 12 points.
