Boys

Vermillion 70, Pine Ridge 52

VERMILLION — Three players scored in double figures to lift Vermillion to a Monday boys basketball win over Pine Ridge. 

Vermillion’s Trey Hansen scored 18 points, while Zoan Robinson added 17 points. Bryson Skogsberg scored 12 points and Wyatt Gestring logged nine points. Carter Skogsberg had eight points. 

Pine Ridge’s Jalen Rouillard scored nine points, while Kaden Steele scored seven points. Anthony Steele added six points and Clayton Apple logged five points. 


De Smet 56, Castlewood 36

CASTLEWOOD — Class B No. 4 De Smet pulled away from Castlewood for a Monday boys basketball win. 

De Smet’s Damon Wilkinson recorded 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Kasen Janssen added 17 points. Thomas Aughenbaugh scored six points, while George Jensen had five points and 12 rebounds. 

Castlewood’s Bryon Laue finished with 12 points, while Lane Tvedt had 11 points. Joe Decker added seven points. Quincy Thu recorded five points and six rebounds. 


Girls 

Mobridge-Pollock 59, Potter County 47 

GETTYSBURG — Mariah Goehring and Reagan Weisbeck combined for 26 points to pace Mobridge-Pollock for a girls basketball win on Monday. 

Goehring recorded 16 points and six rebounds. Weisbeck added 10 points and five boards. Tegan Konold had nine points and five boards. Emma Keller finished with seven points, while Karly Kemnitz added six points. Faith Heil had five points and Heidi Olson grabbed seven rebounds. 

Potter County’s Tyler Simon logged 20 points and scored her 1,000th career point. Emma Schlachter recorded nine points, seven rebounds and four assists. Ashlee Kaup posted six points, five rebounds and five assists. Peyton Stevens scored five points. 


Lyman 73, Colome 45

COLOME — Skyler Volmer and Mak Scott combined for 45 points and 15 rebounds to pace Lyman to a girls basketball win on Monday. 

Volmer finished with 24 points and eight boards, while Scott logged 21 points, seven rebounds and four 3-pointers. Jordyn Scott added 10 points, while Taleyna Wingert and Bella Schindler scored five points apiece. 

Colome stats were not reported. 


Ethan 52, Canistota 22

CANISTOTA — A strong first half carried Ethan to a win over Canistota in girls basketball action Monday. 

Ethan’s Ava Lingemann finished with 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and seven steals to lead her team. Marissa Storm added nine points with Madeline Bartscher adding eight points for Ethan. 

Hannah Hoffman paced Canistota with nine points. Kayla Papendick had five points and two assists with Ellie Becker having three points and 10 rebounds. 


Winner 61, Crow Creek 47

WINNER — Keelie Kuil and Kylie Sachtjen combined for 25 points to lead Winner to a win over Crow Creek in girls basketball action Monday. 

Kuil powered Winner with 19 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Sachtjen had 16 points, two rebounds and three steals with Karlee Brozik notching 10 points and five rebounds. 

Ronessa Sazue led Crow Creek with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kharmon Wells had 12 points and four assists for the Chieftains. 


Kimball/White Lake 42, Platte-Geddes 39

WHITE LAKE — Kimball/White Lake earned a hard fought win over Platte-Geddes in girls basketball action Monday. 

Ryann Nielsen paced Kimball/White Lake with 16 points and seven rebounds. Harley Namanny scored 13 points and dished out three assists. 

Karly VanderWerff led Platte-Geddes with 13 points and six rebounds. Baleigh Nachtigal scored 11 points with Cadence VanZee adding 10 points. 

 

Deuel 46, Britton-Hecla 42

DEUEL — Deuel got off to a great start then had to hold on for a win over Britton-Hecla in girls basketball action on Monday. 

Josie Anderson paced Deuel with 18 points. Harley Hennings finished with 10 points and five rebounds. 

Stats were not reported for Britton-Hecla.

Howard 51, McCook Central/Montrose 42

HOWARD — Abby Aslesen and Kate Connor combined for 28 points as Howard picked up a win over McCook Central/Montrose in girls basketball action Monday. 

Aslesen had a game high 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Connor finished with 10 points and five rebounds. Dakota Spader added nine points and four rebounds for Howard. 

Aubree Kranz led McCook Central/Montrose with 11 points. Abby Wagner had 10 points and Michaela Mccormick chipped in with eight points. 


Lennox 67, Madison 22

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures to lift Lennox to a girls basketball win on Monday. 

Lennox’s Dani Highum recorded 20 points and seven rebounds. Ryan Hanssen and Andie Peters scored 11 points apiece. Carli Kuyper and Karlie Bosma scored seven points apiece. Mia Hanisch grabbed six rebounds. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson finished with 15 points, while Karly Lurz added five points.
