Howard 65, Ethan 55

ETHAN — Howard held off Class B No. 5 Ethan for a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Howard’s Luke Koepsell tossed in 21 points. Ryder Erickson netted 20 points, including 13 points in the fourth quarter. Will Maier added seven points and Taiden Hoyer scored five points. 

Ethan’s Riley Endres tossed in 15 points, while Kody Klumb scored 12 points. Wyatt Sinkie scored nine points. Taite Klumb added seven points and Rylan Gerlach scored six points. 


White River 78, St. Francis 59

WHITE RIVER — Nic Marshall poured in 44 points to power Class B No. 2 White River to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Marshall added eight assists and five rebounds. Mackenzie Wike logged 12 points and four assists. Gavin Folkers added 10 points and four rebounds. Teagen Bouman posted eight points and three rebounds. 


Winner 66, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 48

WINNER — Blake Volmer powered Winner to a boys basketball win over Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Friday.

Volmer finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Shawn Hammerbeck added 13 points and seven rebounds. Ethan Bartels logged 12 points and five rebounds. Aiden Barfuss had five points.

MVP’s Reed Rus and Zach Baker scored 16 points apiece. Rus added six rebounds and four assists. Mason Hetland logged nine points and 10 rebounds. 


De Smet 88, Colman-Egan 21

DE SMET — Five players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 3 De Smet to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Damon Wilkinson finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Kasen Janssen added 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. Trace Van Regenmorter scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Tom Aughenbaugh and Kadyn Fast scored 12 points apiece. Fast added six rebounds and four assists. Britt Carlson scored nine points. 

Colman-Egan’s Jase scored eight points, while Jackson Zwart had six points. 


Mitchell 54, Rapid City Stevens 48 

RAPID CITY — Class AA No. 3 Mitchell used a balanced scoring attack to hold off Rapid City Stevens in boys basketball action on Friday. 

Mitchell’s Dylan Soulek and Charlie McCardle scored 13 points apiece. Steele Morgan added 12 points and eight rebounds. Markus Talley hit three 3-pointers for nine points. 

Stevens’ Dayler Segrist scored 21 points and Hayden Gebhart scored six points. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 68, Pierre 64 (OT) 

PIERRE — Sioux Falls O’Gorman outlasted Class AA No. 4 Pierre for an overtime boys basketball win on Friday. 

O’Gorman’s Matthew Eng recorded 29 points and seven 3-pointers. Zander Benz added 14 points and Radley Mauney logged 12 points. Bennett Dannenbring added five rebounds. 

Benjamin Heisler finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Lincoln Kienholz added 14 points, while Jackson Edman scored 11 points. Brecken Krueger had eight points, while Jacob Mayer and Christian Busch scored six points apiece. 


Chester Area 58, Sioux Falls Lutheran 28

CHESTER — Jovi Wolf and Layke Wold combined to score 30 points as Chester Area picked up a win over Sioux Falls Lutheran in boys basketball action Friday. 

Wolf finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Wold had 15 points and two assists. 

Ethan Olson led Sioux Falls Lutheran with 11 points and eight rebounds. Grant Prouty had eight points and Muoch Jud finished with six rebounds. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 46, Burke 32

BURKE — Isaac Wunder and Mason Reiner combined for 30 points as Tripp-Delmont/Armour defeated Burke in boys basketball action Friday. 

Wunder led all scorers with 19 points while Reinerm reached double figures with 11 points. Riley Spaans had a big night on the boards grabbing 15 rebounds. 

Reed Benter led Burke with 14 points and five assists. Jaden Swan had eight points and eight rebounds while Dawson York collected nine rebounds. 


Sunshine Bible Academy 54, Potter County 40

GETTYSBURG — Daniel Gerbracht and Nolan Triebwasser combined for 34 points as Sunshine Bible Academy picked up a road win over Potter County in boys basketball action Friday. 

Gerbracht led Sunshine Bible Academy with 20 points and nine rebounds. Triebwasser added 14 points and six rebounds while River Jones chipped in with nine points. 

Jaxon Krause led Potter County with 12 points. Sean Seurer and Xavier Hobert combined to score 11 points for the Battlers. 


Avon 38, Freeman 37

FREEMAN — Landon Thury and Jaden Stahl combined for 25 points as Avon upended Freeman in boys basketball action Friday. 

Thury led the Pirates with 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals. Stahl scored 10 points while Trace Pelton finished with 11 rebounds. 

David Walter led Freeman with 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Ethan Balvin had 10 points, four rebounds and three steals. 


Gregory 61, Jones County 40

GREGORY — Three players scored in double figures as Gregory earned a win over Jones County in boys basketball action Friday. 

Daniel Mitchell powered the Gregory offense with 23 points. Jack Bolander scored 14 points, Rane Kenzy had 11 points and Cruz Klundt finished with eight assists for the Gorillas. 

Jett Nix led Jones County with 13 points. Cooper Fedderson and Kaden Kinsley each scored 11 points for the Coyotes. 


Mobridge-Pollock 54, Chamberlain 45

MOBRIDGE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Mobridge-Pollock to a boys basketball win over Chamberlain on Friday. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Kobe Goodshield recorded 19 points and four rebounds. Michael Wald added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Shane Henderson posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Jackson Eisemann scored five points. 

Chamberlain’s Kenyon McCloskey scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds. Dakota Munger added 13 points and seven rebounds. 


Corsica-Stickney 48, Menno 29 

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney jumped out to a 23-11 halftime lead en route to a boys basketball win over Menno on Friday. 

Shad Bosma posted 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Lucas Krogstad added 10 points and nine rebounds. Austin Krogstad posted seven points. Ty Hosman scored six points and collected four rebounds. Lincoln Bruinsma had five rebounds. 


Lower Brule 78, Marty 58

HURON — Class B No. 4 Lower Brule picked up a win over Marty in the semifinals of the Dakota Oyate Challenge on Friday. 

Brian LaRoche poured in 38 points to lead the Lower Brule offense. Gavin Thigh finished with 16 points while Lane Gray chipped in with 13 points. 

Julius Bruguier led Marty with 19 points for Marty while Benicio Zephier scored 15 for the Braves. 


Crazy Horse 71, Omaha Nation NE 55

HURON — A huge night from Noah Iron Horse helped Crazy Horse to a boys basketball win on Friday at the Dakota Oyate Challenge. 

Iron Horse canned three 3-pointers and finished with 25 points. LeBron White Eagle added 11 points, Hyden Martin scored nine points with Devaughn Milk and Donnie Ghost Dog each scoring seven points for the Chiefs. 

Keiyan Parker led Omaha Nation with 27 points while Keithin Miller chipped in with 11 points. 


Tiospaye Topa 80, Takini 39

HURON — Three players reached double figure scoring as Tiospaye Topa picked up a win over Takini in boys basketball action from the Dakota Oyate Challenge. 

Kris Meeter paced the Thunderhawks with 21 points, including 18 in the first half. Dennis Sand III came off the bench to score 17 points while Jorge Hawk scored 13 points. 

CJ Pederson led Takini with 13 points. Logan Quilt and Redrick Curley each had seven points for the Skyhawks. 


Wakpala 74, Flandreau Indian 45

HURON — Three players reached double figures as the Wakpala boys picked up a win over Flandreau Indian Friday at the Dakota Oyate Challenge. 

Wakiya Plenty Chief paced Wakpala with 20 points. Ashtyn Kills Small scored 17 points while Zachary Moran tossed in 16 points. 

Malik Longie led all scorers with 26 points. L’Trell Brother of All also reached double figures pumping in 13 points. 


Sioux Falls Roosevelt 53, Sioux Falls Washington 47

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls Roosevelt picked up a win over Sioux Falls Washington in boys basketball action Friday. 

Jack Radel came off the bench to lead Roosevelt with 15 points, four rebounds, two blocked shots and three steals. Abraham Kamara and Jackson Brouwer each scored 13 points for Sioux Falls Roosevelt. 

Mandala Mohamed paced Sioux Falls Washington with 16 points and five rebounds. Zharic Sheppard added nine points and four rebounds for the Warriors. 


Huron 63, Rapid City Central 54

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Huron picked up a road win over Rapid City Central in boys basketball action Friday. 

Mason Davis led Huron with 18 points and nine rebounds. Reilyn Zavesky added 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists while Dylan Lichty scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds. 

Shun-Zi White Women led Rapid City Central with 11 points. Lincoln Archambault added 10 points while Jon Suarez chipped in with nine points. 


Sunshine Bible Academy 53, Potter County JV 40

GETTYSBURG — Sunshine Bible Academy knocked off Potter County JV in boys basketball action on Friday. 

SBA’s Daniel Gerbracht posted 20 points and nine rebounds. Nolan Triebwasser added 14 points and six rebounds. River Jones had nine points, six rebounds and six steals. 

Jaxon Krause logged 12 points for Potter County JV. Sean Seurer and Landon Larson scored six points apiece. Xavier Hobert scored five points.
