Jan. 3 Basketball Roundup - Treyton Knox powers Highmore-Harrold boys past Stanley County

Boys

Highmore-Harrold 60, Stanley County 39

FORT PIERRE — Treyton Knox powered Highmore-Harrold to a boys basketball win over Stanley County on Tuesday. 

Knox recorded 26 points and 13 rebounds. Mason Knox added 11 points and seven rebounds. Carson Stephenson and Bryce Bourk scored eight and seven points, respectively. 

Stanley County’s Broch Zeeb logged 12 points, while Paxton Deal scored nine points. Q Bourne and Kaden Montana scored eight and seven points, respectively. 

 

Northwestern 40, Ipswich 38

MELLETTE — Northwestern edged Ipswich for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Northwestern’s Lincoln Woodring led with 12 points, while Quintin Fischbach had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Reilly Schmitt added seven points.

Ipswich’s Trevor Heinz had 17 points and five steals, while Chet Peterson had 10 points.


Mobridge-Pollock 60, Potter County 36

MOBRIDGE — Jackson Eisemann and Michael Wald combined for 42 points to pace Mobridge-Pollock to a boys basketball win over Potter County on Tuesday.

Eisemann finished with 22 points, while Michael Wald added 20 points. Kobe Goodshield and Holden Eisemann scored six and five points, respectively. Goodshield grabbed six rebounds, while Shane Henderson collected seven rebounds. 

Potter County’s Ryder Falkenhagen finished with 13 points and five rebounds. Alex Tanner added 12 points and five rebounds. Landon Larson scored six points. 


Rapid City Stevens 60, Douglas 49

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Stevens held off Douglas for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Dayler Segrist finished with 15 points, while Ethan Pisle tossed in 11 points and hit three 3-pointers. Hayden Gebhart and Nash Sobczak scored seven points apiece, while Sobczak grabbed seven rebounds. Thomas Martian had five points, while Caden Dowling added five rebounds and four points. 

Douglas’ Jesse Hand and Jason Fischer scored 12 points apiece, while Fischer had five rebounds. Landon Cast added 11 points. Jacob Blaisure had eight points. 


Girls

Redfield 44, Faulkton Area 29

REDFIELD — Redfield used a 16-3 fourth quarter to pull away from Faulkton Area for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Redfield was led by Ellie Evans with 14 points, while Camryn Rohlfs tallied 10 points. Gracie Fast had nine points.

Faulkton Area’s Addison Melius had 10 points and six rebounds, while Kelli Stoecker had eight points.


McLaughlin 53, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 44

EAGLE BUTTE — Taylor Scares The Hawk and Anaya Mellette combined for 25 points to pace McLaughlin to a girls basketball win over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on Tuesday. 

Scares The Hawk finished with 13 points, while Mellette added 12 points. Raegin Yellow Earrings logged eight points, while Holly Miller scored six points. Mercedes Chase added five points. 

CEB’s Tiana Johnson scored 13 points, while KaiLoni Johnson added 10 points. Alana LeBeau scored seven points. Arianna Anderson and Wo’Niya Garreau scored five points apiece.
