Winner 52, Gregory 50 (OT)

GREGORY — Aiden Barfuss converted a layup with 10 seconds left to lift Class A No. 5 Winner to an overtime boys basketball victory over Gregory on Monday. 

Blake Volmer led Winner with 28 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Shawn Hammerbeck added 10 points and seven rebounds. Barfuss finished with eight points, four rebounds and three assists. 

Gregory’s Daniel Mitchell recorded 18 points and seven rebounds. Rane Kenzy added 12 points, while Jackson Bolander had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Cruz Klundt had five points and five rebounds. Noah Bearshield posted five points, four rebounds and six assists. 


Hanson 57, Canistota 44 

CANISTOTA — Ethan Cheeseman and Jayce Slaba combined to score 28 points to pace Hanson to a boys basketball win over Canistota on Monday.

Cheeseman recorded 17 points, seven rebounds and three 3-pointers. Slaba recorded 11 points and four steals. Jackson Jarding posted nine points and five rebounds. Sutton Dewald finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Hadley Wallace scored six points. 

Canistota’s Tage Ortman and Will Ortman scored 10 points apiece. Brandon Kjetland logged nine points and eight rebounds. Brady Scott added six points and five rebounds. 


Mobridge-Pollock 58, Aberdeen Roncalli 51 

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock placed four players in double figures and outlasted Aberdeen Roncalli for a boys basketball victory on Monday. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Shane Henderson posted 17 points and seven rebounds. Michael Wald added 14 points and three rebounds. Kobe Goodshield recorded 11 points and seven rebounds. Jackson Eisemann scored 10 points. 

Roncalli’s Maddox Miller and Aiden Fisher scored 16 points apiece. Fisher grabbed five rebounds. Caden Shelton added seven points, while Zane Backaus had five points. 


Hamlin 63, Milbank 35

MILBANK — Four players scored in double figures to pace Hamlin to a boys basketball win on Monday. 

Hamlin’s Brennan Keszler scored a game-high 16 points, while Easton Neuendorf had 14 points and six rebounds. Tyson Stevenson and Jackson Wadsworth scored 11 points apiece. 

Milbank’s Justus Osborn scored 13 points, while Jaxson Wildung netted nine points. Garrett Mertens added six points. 


Waverly-South Shore 64, Arlington 42

ARLINGTON — Two players scored in double figures to pace Waverly-South Shore to a boys basketball win over Arlington on Monday. 

WSS’s Owen Gilmour finished with 18 points, five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Landon Maag added 15 points. Grant Holman recorded seven points and eight rebounds. Troy Kneeland logged five points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. 

Arlington’s Blake Madsen finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots. Kaden Steffensen added eight points and six rebounds. Paxton Rheault scored seven points and collected six rebounds. Riley Miller scored five points. 


Howard 82, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 24

HOWARD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Howard to a boys basketball win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Monday. 

Howard’s Luke Koepsell and Kolt Koepsell scored 16 points apiece. Taiden Hoyer added 10 points. Colby Claussen and Carson Hinker scored nine points apiece. Will Maier scored seven points and Ryder Erickson added five points.

ORR’s Caden Hojer scored 11 points and Riley Schneider added eight points. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 69, Garretson 35

GARRETSON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Dell Rapids St. Mary to a boys basketball win over Garretson on Monday. 

Nic Gaspar recorded 20 points, while Trevon Beckman added 13 points. C.J. Smith netted 11 points. 

Garretson stats were not reported. 


Chester Area 41, Colman-Egan 38

Three players reached double figures as the Chester Area boys picked up a tight win over Colman-Egan in boys basketball action Monday. 

Brayden Schut led the Flyers with 11 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jovi Wolf added 11 points, three rebounds and four steals. Layke Wold also added 11 points and three rebounds. 

Jackson Zwart led Colman-Egan with 19 points and ten rebounds. Jase Mousel added nine points and three rebounds for the Hawks. 


Madison 65, Tri-Valley 48 

COLTON — Andrew Comes and Aiden Jensen combined to score 45 points to pace Madison to a boys basketball win on Monday. 

Comes recorded 24 points, while Jensen added 21 points. 

Tri-Valley’s Noah Haynes scored 20 points and Trey Johnson netted 12 points.
