James Valley Christian 53, Highmore-Harrold 46

WOLSEY — Jerrad Wollman paced James Valley Christian to a 281 Conference boys basketball tournament win on Monday.

Wollman finished with 22 points and 12 boards. Dax Frandsen logged 10 points, while Davis Chase added nine points and eight rebounds. 

For Highmore-Harrold, Trake Cowan logged 24 points. Carson Stephenson recorded nine points and Aidan Ferens scored six points. Miles McPeak had five points.


Wessington Springs 71, Sunshine Bible Academy 19 

WOLSEY — Wessington Springs coasted past Sunshine Bible Academy for a 281 Conference boys basketball tournament win on Monday.

Wessington Springs’ Parker Graff finished with 15 points, five rebounds and five steals. Ryder Michalek and Colby Flowers scored 10 points apiece. Michalek grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists. Brock Krueger added nine points, while Blake Larson and Luke Larson scored six points apiece. Karter Mebius had five points. Krueger had four assists.

For SBA, Trey Thieman recorded 15 points, three 3-pointers and three rebounds. 


Wolsey-Wessington 77, Iroquois/Lake Preston 42

WOLSEY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Wolsey-Wessington to a 281 Conference boys basketball tournament win on Monday.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Moshe Richmond recorded 25 points and nine rebounds. Caleb Richmond added 22 points, five 3-pointers and four assists. Tate French posted 13 points and eight boards. Peyton Rainford logged five points. 

For Iroquois/Lake Preston, Lucas Peskey had 10 points and five steals. Josh McMasters scored eight points, while Ryne Greene and Rayson Timm logged seven points apiece. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 64, Hitchcock-Tulare 39

WOLSEY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a 281 Conference boys basketball tournament win on Monday.

SCW’s Jeff Boschee finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Cody Slykhuis added 14 points. Trey Moody scored 10 points and Payton Uecker logged 10 points. McCoy Schulz had seven points and Landon Jensen scored five points. Moody added seven rebounds and Bryce Larson dished out seven assists and recorded three steals. Uecker hit three 3-pointers. 

For Hitchcock-Tulare, Patrick Maynard recorded 13 points and Erik Salmen added nine points. Jackson Maynard scored seven points. Jackson Maynard, Patrick Maynard and Devin Enander grabbed six reobunds apiece. 


West Central 54, Baltic 49 

HARTFORD — West Central clipped Baltic for a boys basketball win on Monday.

West Central’s Jake Kuhl logged 14 points and six rebounds. Connor Mebius added 13 points and five steals. Will Kuhl recorded eight points, while Brodie Herr and Paden Schulte grabbed five rebounds apiece. 

For Baltic, Jack Erickson scored 17 points and Kellen Artz added 14 points.
