Rapid City Central 57, Brookings 56

BROOKINGS — Trailing 56-52 with 13 seconds left, Rapid City Central rallied past Brookings for a boys basketball win on Friday.

After a 3-point field goal, Central’s Isaiah Whiting scored on a steal for a 57-56 lead with four seconds left for the win. 


Castlewood 82, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 36

CASTLEWOOD — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 1 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Castlewood’s Larz Tvedt finished with 14 points and hit four 3-pointers. Jyler Tharaldsen posted 12 points, while Jamison Keszler had 11 points. Brody Bass had 10 points and six rebounds. Kamden Keszler had nine points and Lane Tvedt posted eight points. Quincy Thu totaled seven points and eight rebounds. 

For ORR, Caden Hojer finished with 11 points. Boyd Pooler had six points and Cooper Merager added five points. 


Stanley County 71, Potter County 42

FORT PIERRE — Broch Zeeb powered Stanley County to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Zeeb poured in 29 points, while Kaden Montana added 11 points. Paxton Deal and Eddie Duffy scored nine points apiece.

For Potter County, Ryder Falkenhagen had 20 points. Carter Luikens and Landon Larson scored eight points apiece. Luikens grabbed nine boards. 


Warner 51, Britton-Hecla 23

BRITTON — Brodey Sauerwein and Zach Evans combined for 36 points as Warner defeated Britton-Hecla in boys basketball action Friday.

Sauerwein led all scorers with 20 points while Evans pumped in 16 points. Jesiah Baum added seven points for the Monarchs. 

Dawson Treeby led Britton-Hecla with eight points while Ty Fagerland and Daniel Person each chipped in with six points.


Faulkton Area 48, Ipswich 42

FAULKTON — A balanced scoring attack helped Faulkton Area earn a win over Ipswich in boys basketball action Friday. 

Layne Cotton powered Faulkton Area with 14 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Gian DiMaria added 13 points and five steals. Spencer Melius and Trey Machtemese combined to score 11 points for Faulkton Area. 

Jace Konsor led Ipswich with 13 points. Trevor Heinz added 12 points and six rebounds while Chet Peterson chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 66, Colman-Egan 65

COLMAN — Four players reached double-figure scoring as Elkton-Lake Benton held off Colman-Egan in boys basketball action Friday. 

Colt Beck led Elkton-Lake Benton with 16 points, four rebounds and five assists. Tanner Drietz finished with 16 points and four rebounds. Elliot Erickson added 12 points while Carson Griffith chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Jase Mousel led Colman-Egan with 28 points and nine rebounds while Jack Mousel added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jackson Zwart finished with 12 points and six rebounds while Taylor Kriech added 12 points. 


Flandreau 61, McCook Central/Montrose 38 

SALEM — Flandreau picked up a boys basketball win over McCook Central/Montrose on Friday.

Flandreau’s Luke Sheppard finished with 21 points and four rebounds. Paul Parsley had 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals. Kody Kneebone had eight points, while Xavier Bien posted five points.

For MCM, Mason Sabers finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Owen Alley and Ben Wiebersick scored seven points apiece. 


Milbank 80, Florence-Henry 36

MILBANK — Three players scored in double figures to pace Milbank to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Milbank’s Garrett Mertens finished with 24 points and eight rebounds. Joe Schulte logged 16 points and six rebounds. Yohana Ajwanga had 11 points and seven rebounds. Jackson Wildung had eight points and five rebounds. Graham Lightfield and Sam Rick scored five points apiece. 

For Florence-Henry, Carson Varusta had 10 points. James Schroeder and Tristyn Sumner scored six points apiece. Logan Varusta scored five points. 


Sioux Falls Christian 83, Madison 45

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Griffen Goodbary led the way with 20 points, while Bennett Wassenaar had 14 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Cooper Goodbary added 13 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Carson Nickles had eight points, while Brayden Witte and Boston Gerdes scored five points apiece.

For Madison, Ben Brooks had 10 points. Andrew Comes and Charles Callahan scored nine points apiece. Myles Schneider scored five points.
