Wessington Springs 49, Ethan 38

ETHAN — Wessington Springs pulled past Ethan for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Wessington Springs’ Parker Graff finished with 19 points, while Ryder Michalek posted 15 points. Blake Larson scored eight points and Colby Flowers had seven points.

For Ethan, Taite Klumb tallied 15 points. Braedon Nebelsick scored nine points and Rylan Gerlach had seven points. 


Groton Area 84, Clark/Willow Lake 20

GROTON — Groton Area’s Lane Tietz erupted for a school-record 47 points in a boys basketball win on Friday.

Tietz knocked down nine 3-pointers, to go along with 10 steals, five assists and four rebounds. 


Vermillion 59, Parkston 51

PARKSTON — Vermillion held off Parkston for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Vermillion’s Bryson Skogsberg finished with 21 points, while Trey Hansen added 10 points. Carter Hansen and Conner Roerig scored nine and eight points, respectively. 

For Parkston, Will Jodozi had 23 points. Brycen Bruening finished with 12 points. 


Flandreau 58, Baltic 51

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures to pace Flandreau to a Big East Conference boys basketball win on Friday.

Flandreau’s Paul Parsley recorded 18 points, while Alfie Henderson had 14 points and hit four 3-pointers. Luke Sheppard added 10 points, while Xavier Bien had nine points. Micah Otto tallied five points.

For Baltic, Jack Erickson finished with 19 points, while Ben Erickson scored nine points. Mark Ditter posted eight points. Beau Breece and Kellen Artz scored five points apiece. 


McCook Central/Montrose 47, Beresford 45

FLANDREAU — McCook Central/Montrose clipped Beresford in Big East Conference boys basketball tournament action on Friday. 

McCook Central/Montrose’s Carter Jandl tallied 11 points and seven rebounds. Mason Sabers had 10 points, while Owen Alley tallied nine points and nine rebounds. Jackson Schmidt and Lane Deutsch scored eight points apiece.

For Beresford, Andrew Atwood totaled 14 points and five rebounds. Malachi James had 10 points and four rebounds. Aidan Hamm had nine points, while Jon DeLay had seven points. 


Faulkton Area 59, Hitchcock-Tulare 38

FAULKTON — Layne Cotton’s double-double powered Faulkton Area to a boys basketball win on Friday. 

Cotton finished with 36 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and three 3-pointers. Gian DiMaria added eight points and seven rebounds. Charlie Dieter had seven points and seven rebounds. 

For Hitchcock-Tulare, Jackson Maynard recorded 16 points and eight rebounds. Erik Salmen posted 12 points, while Patrick Maynard had seven points and seven rebounds. Blaze Binger posted six rebounds. 


Warner 68, North Central 36

ROSCOE — Hunter Cramer and Brodey Sauerwein combined to score 39 points to pace Warner to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Cramer finished with 21 points, while Sauerwein had 18 points. Zach Evans and Gavin Lane scored seven points apiece. Drew Bakeberg added six points, while Jaxon Moore had five points.

For North Central, Raynor Sprague posted 10 points. Cooper Oxner had six points. Cole Beitelspacher and Dawson Waltz scored five points apiece. 


Waubay-Summit 48, Elkton-Lake Benton 42

SUMMIT — Jackson Wohlleber and Camden Neilan combined to score 37 points to pace Waubay-Summit to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Wohlleber finished with 27 points, four 3-pointers and five rebounds. Neilan added 10 points and five rebounds. Jared Purdy posted seven rebounds and four points. 


Tea Area 59, Madison 46

TEA — Tea Area pulled away from Madison for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Tea Area’s Sam Almas finished with 24 points, six 3-pointers, five rebounds, three steals and three assists. Marshall Smythe posted 14 points, nine rebounds and four 3-pointers. Jessen Wiebenga added nine points and five rebounds. Garrett Wiebenga scored five points.

For Madison, Charles Callahan had 14 points and six rebounds. Andrew Comes posted 11 points and three 3-pointers. Ben Brooks tallied seven points and five rebounds. 


Centerville 63, Burke 43

CENTERVILLE — Centerville picked up a 20-point boys basketball win on Friday.

Centerville’s Aiden Bobzin scored 19 points. Brennan Tople logged 13 points and seven rebounds. Ethan Bobzin added nine points and four rebounds, while Alec Austin had eight points and five boards. Cole Edberg posted six points. 

For Burke, Reed Benter scored 14 points. Sam Steele and Quintin Bull scored 10 points apiece. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 66, Rapid City Central 43

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Sioux Falls Jefferson to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Jefferson’s Jase Unzen logged 16 points and four rebounds. Tyler Bohannon had 16 points, while Dawson Sechser posted 10 points and five rebounds. Mason Payne tallied four points and seven rebounds. 

For Rapid City Central, Kaden Mathieu and Colton Caralson recorded eight points apiece. Ryan Wetch scored seven points.
