RAPID CITY — Fans who witnessed Thursday afternoon’s game between Santee, Nebraska, and Tiospaye Topa witnessed one of the all-time great scorers duals in the history of the Lakota Nation Invitational. 

Santee, Nebraska, topped Tiospaye Topa, 112-72, and it featured a pair of 50-point individual scoring games. 

Tiospaye Topa’s Kris Meeter, a sophomore guard, erupted for 54 of his team’s 72 points. Santee’s Austyn Saul, a 6-foot-4 senior, poured in 51 points and was one of four Warriors to score in double figures. 

Meeter, who had 30 points in Wednesday’s game, connected on seven 3-pointers and made 15 of 25 shots and went 17 off 22 from the free-throw line on Thursday. He also grabbed 12 rebounds for the Thunderhawks. 

Saul also drained seven 3-pointers, going 21 of 29 from the field and 2 of 3 from the charity stripe. The senior also snared 15 rebounds.
