Lemmon High School graduate and Clarke University (Iowa) coach Haley Froelich was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference women's basketball assistant coach for the year for the 2023-24 season. Clarke University head coach Adam Hocking was named the Heart of America head coach of the year.

Hocking and Froelich were in the first season of their roles as Hocking was promoted to head coach after serving as CU's assistant coach for eight seasons under two different head coaches as Clarke went to the NAIA Tournament six times, most notably last season's national championship team while Froelich was brought on board after four seasons as the Dickinson State University assistant coach.

The Pride earned a 27-1 regular season record for the best regular season in program history with the most wins, fewest losses, and best winning percentage (.964) that the women's basketball team has ever had. Clarke University is an NAIA school in Dubuque, Iowa

Froelich joins the Pride from Dickinson State University where she served as an assistant coach for the Blue Hawks women’s basketball team for four seasons after serving as a graduate assistant for Mount Marty College for two seasons prior.

As a player, Froelich earned two NAIA All-American honors in her career at Presentation College including leading NAIA Division II in scoring during the 2015-16 season as she averaged 24.9 points per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the field for the Saints.

The season prior, Froelich became the first member of Presentation’s women’s basketball team to earn All-America honors as she received NAIA Division II honorable mention for the 2014-15 season where she averaged 21.4 points per game, which placed her seventh in the division.

Froelich has also been a camp director for the last four years Midwest Elite Basketball (MEB); co-owned by standout coach Craig Doty of Emporia State University. MEB is a company that travels all over the Midwest putting on team camps for high schools. She has worked with hundreds of kids throughout the country during this time.

Froelich earned her Bachelors in Science at Presentation College in 2017, as well as her Master’s Degree in Coaching and Leadership from Mount Marty College in 2019.
