Gregory 53, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 42

MITCHELL — The Gregory Gorillas picked up a Region 5A boys basketball win over Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Friday. 

Gregory advanced to Tuesday’s SoDak 16 where they will play Ethan. 

Gregory's Daniel Mitchell scored 19 points, while Cruz Klundt tallied 10 points. Cole Serr and Lincoln Juracek scored eight and five points, respectively. 

TDA's Mason Reiner scored 15 points, while Isaac Wunder and Jaden Groeneweg added 10 points apiece. 


Ethan 56, Dell Rapids St. Mary 44 

SALEM — Three players scored in double figures to pace Ethan to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Friday. The Rustlers will advance to next week’s SoDak 16.

Ethan’s Wyatt Sinkie scored 17 points and Riley Endres logged 16 points. Kody Klumb added 13 points and Taite Klumb scored six points. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Trevon Beckman scored 14 points and hit four 3-pointers. Maverick LeBrun had 10 points and Nic Gaspar added nine points. Trimmier Hanson logged eight points. 


Howard 58, Bridgewater-Emery 45

SALEM — Three players scored in double figures to pace Howard to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Friday. The Tigers will play in the SoDak 16 next week.

Howard’s Taiden Hoyer scored 16 points, while Kolt Koepsell added 14 points. Luke Koepsell scored 12 points. Ryder Erickson added nine points. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Ben Weber scored 13 points. Sutton Arend and Sam Hofer added 10 points apiece. Camdyn Stotereau had five points. 


Wessington Springs 64, Marty Indian 58

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures as Wessington Springs earned a win over Marty Indian in boys basketball action Friday. 

Colby Flowers led Wessington Springs with 25 points and four rebounds. Parker Graff added 12 points and three assists while Blake Larson had ten points, four assists and two steals. 

Benecio Zephier led Marty Indian with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Greg Zephier added 17 points while Kizer Ashes finished with 10 points, three rebounds and three steals. 


De Smet 55, Wolsey-Wessington 45

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures as De Smet picked up a win over Wolsey-Wessington in boys basketball action Friday. 

Damon Wilkinson led De Smet with 21 points, 15 rebounds and two blocked shots. Kasen Janssen pumped in 11 points and six rebounds while Kadyn Fast chipped in with 10 points. 

Blaze Herdman led Wolsey-Wessington with 12 points and two rebounds. Tate French added nine points while Moshe Richmond had eight points, two blocks and four steals. 


White River 73, Jones County 44

WHITE RIVER — Three players scored in double figures as White River advanced to the SoDak 16 with a win over Jones County in boys basketball action Friday. 

Joe Sayler pumped in 25 points to lead the Tigers. Nic Marshall scored 21 points while Gavin Folkers chipped in with 11 points. 

Cooper Feddersen led Jones County with 18 points. Jett Nix scored 12 points while Kaden Kinsley scored 10 points for the Coyotes. 


Viborg-Hurley 70, Scotland 38

CENTERVILLE — Four players scored in double figures as Viborg-Hurley rolled to a win over Scotland in boys basketball action Friday. 

Gage Goettertz led Viborg-Hurley with 19 points while Nich Hanson scored 16 points. Bryson Morrison added 14 points while Brady Schroedemeir chipped in with 11 points. 

Stephen Johnson led Scotland with 10 points while Ashton Dennis put in nine points for the Highlanders. 


Irene-Wakonda 62, Freeman Academy/Marion 52

CENTERVILLE — A balanced scoring attack helped Irene-Wakonda pick up a boys basketball win over Freeman Academy/Marion Friday. 

Miles Pollman and Garrett Libby led Irene-Wakonda with each player scoring 16 points. Jake Kuhl added 13 points while Jens Hansen and Dashel Spurrell each scored seven points. 

Connor Epp led FAM with 14 points. Maddox Kihne added 13 points while Jackson Donlan chipped in with 10 points. 


Castlewood 64, James Valley Christian 59

MADISON — Lane Tvedt and Byron Laue combined for 38 points as Castlewood held off James Valley Christian in boys basketball action Friday. 

Tvedt finished with 21 points, two rebounds and three assists. Laue posted a double double of 17 points and 15 rebounds to go along with two blocks. 

Landon Wager led James Valley Christian with 25 points, six rebounds and six assists. Landon Wallman added 14 points and five rebounds for James Valley Christian. 


Waubay/Summit 44, Tiospa Zina 36

SUMMIT — Damon Opdahl’s big night and a balanced scoring effort from the rest of the team helped Waubay/Summit to a boys basketball win over Tiospa Zina on Friday. 

Opahl led Waubay/Summit with 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists and five steals. Jackson Wohlleber finished with nine points while Jonathon Johnston added eight points.


Dakota Valley 74, Tea Area 65

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Five players scored in double figures as Dakota Valley earned a win over Tea Area in boys basketball action Friday. 

Isaac Bruns scored 25 points, grabbed nine rebounds and finished with two assists and two steals. Jaxon Hennies, Sam Faldmo and Jaxson Wingert each scored 12 points while Randy Rosenquist had 10 points and 12 rebounds. 

Reis Kirschenman led Tea Area with 15 points. Jonah Kocer and Sam Almas each scored 14 points while Blake Thompson chipped in with 10 points. 


Sioux Valley 77, Deuel 56

VOLGA — Four players scored in double figures as Sioux Valley knocked off Deuel in boys basketball action Friday. 

Oliver Vincent led Sioux Valley with 18 points, six rebounds and nine assists. Alec Squires posted a double double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Maverick Nelson pumped in 13 points while Boden Schiller chipped in with 10 points. 

Gavin Benck led Deuel with 17 points and seven rebounds. Trey Maaland added 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Braydon Simon added 11 points. 

Hamlin 55, Clark/Willow Lake 35

HAYTI — Hamlin advanced to the Class A SoDak 16 with a 20-point win over Clark/Willow Lake on Friday. 

Hamlin’s Tyson Stevenson scored 19 points. Easton Neuendorf finished with 15 points, while Brennan Keszler logged 10 points. Zac VanMeeteren scored nine points. 

CWL’s Trey Huber and Kaplan Felberg scored eight points apiece. Tyson Huber had seven points and Brady Jordan scored six points.

Groton Area 48, Milbank 39

GROTON — A balanced scoring attack helped Groton Area pick up a win over Milbank in boys basketball action Fridy. 

Tate Larson powered Groton Area with 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal. Cole Simon added 13 points while Lane Tietz added eight points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. 

Jaxson Wildung and Joe Schulte each scored 12 points to lead Milbank. 


Winner 52, Lakota Tech 46

WINNER — Three players scored in double figures as Winner held off the Lakota Tech boys in Region 7A basketball action Friday. 

Aiden Barfuss led Winner with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists. Shawn Hammerbeck finished with 13 points and seven rebounds while Blake Volmer added 12 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. 

Marvin Richard III led Lakota Tech with 15 points. Kendrell Cuevas scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Tatanka. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 66, Parkston 45

MOUNT VERNON — Three players reached double figure scoring as Mount Vernon/Plankinton picked up a win over Parkston in boys basketball action Friday. 

Reed Rus powered the Titans with 18 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Zach Baker added 17 points, four rebounds and three steals while Jordan Stoltz finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
