The South Dakota High School Activities Association has partnered with the family of Larry Luitjens, all-time wins leader in South Dakota basketball coaching history, to establish the “Larry Luitjens Coach of Influence Award.”  

This award will be presented annually to a deserving, active, head girls and head boys basketball coach from our state who strives to make a difference in the lives of their students and community.  

Nominations may be made by anyone – including school personnel, students, coaches, or members of the public. Visit www.LuitjensAward.com to complete a Google form nomination. 

Nominations are due at the end of the day on Feb. 15, 2024. Honorees will be recognized and presented with their award at one of the state basketball tournaments in March.
