GETTYSBURG — The North Central track and field teams captured titles at Thursday’s Yellowstone Trail Conference track and field meet. 

On the boys side, North Central’s Aiden Goings won the 400-meter dash (:56.35) 

North Central’s Avery Wells won the 800-meter run (2:14.37). Wells, Drew Arbach, Jason Arbach and Jake Wolf won the 3,200-meter relay (9:32.08). 

Carsten Engelhart, Keegan Miller, Goings and Easton Kunz won the 1,600-meter relay (3:58.35). 

North Central’s Jared Wherry won the 110-meter hurdles (:18.08), 300-meter hurdles (:45.24) and pole vault (10-8). Donovan Nelson won the high jump (5-6) and long jump (18-11) for North Central. Arbach won the 3,200-meter run (11:38.97). 

Herreid/Selby Area’s Kaleb Claymore won the 100-meter dash (:12.09). Claymore, Porter Gregg, Tyson Schumacher and Tatum Quaschnick won the 400-meter relay (:47.01). 

Schumacher added a first-place finish in the triple jump (39-8). 

Herreid/Selby Area’s Gavin Hirsch won the 1,600-meter run (4:52.02).

Gettysburg’s Jackson Simon won the 200-meter dash (:25.81) and placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (:45.67). Simon, Lukas Fersch, Michael Jager and Ayden Forgey won the 800-meter relay (1:40.91). 

Sully Buttes’ Hudson Barber, Carson Mercer, Beau Forgey and Jackson Paxton won the sprint medley relay (4:24.08). 

Easton Moore captured first place in the discus (127-3) for Sully Buttes. Jett Yackley won the javelin throw (138-6) for the Chargers. 

On the girls side, North Central’s Lindsey Hoerner won the 400-meter dash (1:07.89) and 100-meter hurdles (:18.11). North Central’s Cloei Metzger won the 200-meter dash (:28.52) 

North Central’s Tylee Vander Vorst won the 800-meter run (2:34.71). North Central’s Amree Vander Vorst won the shot put (33-1), while teammate Jillian Fischer won the discus (103-4) and javelin (91-6). Amree Vander Vorst placed second in the javelin (88-4). North Central’s Carleigh Dosch won the high jump (4-6) and placed second in the pole vault (8-2). 

Peyton Schnabel won the pole vault (10-2) for North Central. Lindsey Geier won the triple jump (32-3.75) for North Central. 

Herreid/Selby Area’s Breanna Jochim won the 100-meter dash (:13.11). Jochim, Azura Fenton, Brooklyn Heim and Jentry Hubner won the 800-meter relay (1:54.22). Katie Allbee, Anniah Russell, Evelyn Shearer and Brynnly Huber won the 3,200-meter relay (10:49.80). 

Gettysburg’s Layla Cronin won the 1,600-meter run (5:55.91). Gettysburg’s Jaycee Stevens won the 3,200-meter run (13:37.27). Gettysburg’s Finlee Heien won the 300-meter hurdles (:50.11) 

Heien, Paige Ahlemeier, Jadyn Ahlemeier and Emma Schlachter won the 1,600-meter relay (4:23.07). 

Sully Buttes’ Jaycee Jaeger, Harmony Cook, Molly Mercer and Madison Millage won the 400-meter relay (:57.02). Parker Bakker, Hallie Rausch, Myli Weischedel and Carmyn Comes won the sprint medley relay (5:04.90).
