Wagner 52, Miller-Highmore-Harrold 0

WAGNER — Class 11B No. 5 Wagner shutout Miller-Highmore-Harrold during Friday’s high school football action.

Wagner’s Gannon Knebel powered the Red Raiders with 143 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, adding 149 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries. Payne Petry tallied 56 rushing yards, 45 receiving yards and two rushing touchdowns. Javian Pesicka had 45 rushing yards and a touchdown, Shea Kjeldgaard had 77 yards receiving and a touchdown, Cruise Koupal had a 17-yard touchdown run while Slaten Podzimek added 25 rushing yards and a touchdown as well. Train Dilts and Koupal each recorded sacks on defense for the Red Raiders.

MHH’s stats were not reported.


Elk Point-Jefferson 41, Sioux Valley 26

ELK POINT — Class 11B No. 1 Elk Point-Jefferson pulled past Sioux Valley for a Friday high school football win.

EPJ’s Beau Schmitz rushed for 172 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns. Luke Schmitz added 104 yards rushing on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns. Brody Van Roekel had 59 yards rushing. Aiden Hammitt had a five-yard rushing touchdown. Levi Hansen connected with Anthony Tatro for a touchdown reception. Van Roekel had nine tackles. 

For Sioux Valley, Mitchell Guthmiller rushed for 170 yards on 23 carries and threw a touchdown pass to Logan Mohn. Wyatt Hardt passed for 98 yards and rushed for 38 yards. He rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Braden Danzeisen. Hardt and Guthmiller posted 12 tackles on defense.


Hanson 50, Canistota 12

CANISTOTA — Jett Jager totaled four touchdowns as Hanson rolled to a win over Canistota in high school football action Friday.

Jager completed 11-of-15 pass attempts for 206 yards and three touchdowns, adding 31 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Stetson Riggs had two touchdown runs with 89 yards on six carries. Radek Jarding caught six passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns while Jason Porth had 92 yards and a touchdown on three receptions in the win. Ayden Jarding led the Beavers defensively with eight tackles.

For Canistota, Payson Acheson completed three passes for 27 yards and an interception. Prayden Acheson tallied 11 carries for 49 yards and a touchdown, while Jaxon Puetz had nine carries for 39 yards and a score in the loss as well.


Ipswich 54, North Central 24 

EUREKA — Class 9A Ipswich pulled away to beat North Central in Friday’s high school football action.

Ipswich’s Hayden Schlosser completed six passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns while Casey Geditz ran eight times for 49 yards in the win.

NC’s Easton Kunz completed nine passes for 167 yards and three interceptions, adding a touchdown run in the win while Harrison Beyers ran 12 times for 85 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.


Britton-Hecla 56, Waverly-South Shore 6

WAVERLY — Jaxon Zuehlke and Bryce Hawkinson combined for five rushing scores as Britton-Hecla ran past Waverly-South Shore in high school football action Friday.

Zuehlke carried the ball five times for 56 yards and three touchdowns, while Hawkinson added 20 carries for 164 yards and two more scores. Jace Rein completed five passes for 86 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Mitchell Burger caught a 62-yard touchdown while Bennett Suther had a seven-yard touchdown reception in the win.

For WSS, Kyle Kneeland completed 13 passes for 133 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Kneeland ran 11 times for 13 yards as well. Martin Mickelson caught five passes for 64 yards while Austin Hovitek caught six passes for 53 yards and a touchdown in the loss.


Irene-Wakonda 54, Colome 0 

IRENE — Irene-Wakonda blanked Colome in Friday high school football action.

IW’s Brody Johnke rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, while he added 56 yards passing and two more scores. Hadley Nielsen and Hayden Hansen rushed for touchdowns. Hansen and Christian Putnam hauled in touchdown catches. Carter Muilenberg had 4.5 tackles.

For Colome, Berkley Meeder rushed for 19 yards. 


De Smet 38, Estelline-Hendricks 0

DE SMET — De Smet blanked Estelline-Hendricks in Friday high school football action.

De Smet’s Slayten Wilkinson finished with 135 yards rushing and four rushing touchdowns. He added 72 yards receiving and one TD reception. He added six tackles on defense. Brody Halverson completed 6-of-9 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown. Owen Anderson had 31 yards receiving, 27 yards rushing and seven tackles. Coy Van Regenmorter added 30 yards rushing. Blake Jennings had seven tackles and Carter Wilkinson tallied six tackles.

For EH, Cooper Schaefer had 28 rushing yards and 11 tackles. Parker Lantgen posted 12 tackles.


Rapid City Christian 41, Custer 10

CUSTER — Rapid City Christian pulled away from Custer for a Friday high school football win.

Rapid City Christian’s Reed Linberg rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown. Peyton Glenn added 90 yards rushing and a score. Peyton Glenn completed 12-of-22 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns. Sully Kieffer hauled in four catches for 74 yards and a touchdown. Hudson Ogle and Reagan Koskan both caught touchdown receptions. Linberg tallied 11 tackles and Koskan posted 7 tackles, one interception, and ran back a fumble recovery for a TD.

 

Alcester-Hudson 64, Scotland-Menno 16

ALCESTER --- Tommy Walth tossed six touchdowns as Class 9A No. 4 Alcester-Hudson past Scotland-Menno in high school football action Friday.

Walth completed 13-of-15 pass attempts for 232 yards and six  touchdowns. Liam Moumy completed two passes for six yards and a touchdown pass as well. Jackson Meyer caught four passes for 101 yards and four touchdowns, Jacob Cole hauled in four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown, Darin Dykstra caught a 51-yard pass, Rylan Almlie netted two catches for six yards and a score while Evan Haak had one five-yard touchdown reception. Dykstra led the Cubs in with 116 yards on 10 carries, Moumy had four carries for 109 yards and a touchdown run while Walth added five carries for 31 yards and a touchdown in the win. Dykstra led the Cubs defensively with five tackles.

For SM, Izayah Ulmer completed five passes for 88 yards and a touchdown, Erick Buechler caught three passes for 53 yards and a touchdown hwile Ulmer added nine carries for 47 yards and a touchdown run in the loss. Jaxon Stoebner led the Trappers with eight tackles.


Madison 47, Canton 12

MADISON — Henry Veenhof powered Madison to a Friday high school football win. 

Veenhof completed 13-of-20 passes for 231 yards and five touchdown passes. He added 35 yards rushing. Shane Veenhof hauled in six catches for 105 yards and four touchdown receptions. Ethan Sims hauled in a touchdown catch. Caleb Hodges and Tucker King rushed for touchdowns. Hodges rushed for 88 yards. Caleb Pettersen had nine tackles and Hodges had an interception.

For Canton, Alex Rhead had a passing touchdown and threw for 39 yards. Aiden Schrempp rushed for 39 yards and Keyvin Strand had nine yards receiving. Bentley Aasheim and Mason Bentz had seven tackles apiece.


Yankton 31, Tea Area 7

YANKTON — Tate Beste passed for 290 yards and two touchdowns as Class 11AA No. 2 Yankton upended Class 11AA No. 5 Tea Area in high school football action Friday.

Beste completed 19-of-31 pass attempts for 290 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Owen Eidsness caught six passes for 67 yards and a touchdown, Carter Boomsma had four receptions for 119 yards and a score while Cale Haselhorst tallied four catches for 73 yards. Jace Sedlacek ran 22 times for 73 yards and a touchdown in the win as well.

For TA, Hayden Bialas ran 15 times for 142 yards and a touchdown, Daeschle Lowery completed seven-of-27 pass attempts for 83 yards, throwing four interceptions in the loss.Carter Brown led the Titan defense with 13 tackles, three tackles for loss.
