Wagner 3, Elk Point-Jefferson 1

WAGNER — Wagner defeated Elk Point-Jefferson in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 27-25, 23-25, 26-24 and 25-15.

Wagner’s Ravyn Medricky finished with 16 kills, 14 digs and two blocks. Hannah Holzbauer posted 20 kills, 24 digs and two aces. Libby Kotab had 29 digs. Brianna Fuchs finished with two blocks. Braxton Nedved added 43 assists. 

For EPJ, Kate Hayes finished with 12 kills. Paige Jacobs and Cera Schmitz had seven kills apiece. Schmitz added two aces and 17 digs. Jacobs posted two blocks. Lainey Trometer added 24 assists. Tenley Troener had two aces.


Kimball/White Lake 3, Hanson 2

ALEXANDRIA — Kimball/White Lake outlasted Hanson in a five-set thriller during Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 18-25, 8-25, 25-23 and 15-13.

KWL’s Kyza Johsnon had 12 kills and nine blocks, Kaitlyn Priebe collected 10 kills and five blocks, Rylee McCord totaled 16 digs, six kills and four blocks, Sienna Gillen added 25 digs while Mariah Gosmire had 25 assists and eight digs in the win.

For Hanson, Ava Doyla had 18 kills, 22 digs, 17 assists and four aces, Alivia Bender added 18 kills, six digs and two blocks, Audrina Waldera collected 17 assists and six digs, Claire Bridge netted 42 digs, four assists and three aces, Taryn Holm had 30 digs, three assists, three aces and two kills while Jozlynn Tegethoff had 18 digs, four kills and two aces in the loss.


Platte-Geddes 3, Lyman 1 

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes defeated Lyman in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-12, 25-16 and 25-23.

Platte-Geddes stats were not reported. 

Lyman’s Jordyn Scott finished with 16 kills and 15 digs. Kenzie Wagner had five kills and 15 digs. Mak Scott posted four kills and 15 digs. Brooke Montgomery finished with three kills and 13 digs. Bree Smart added 22 assists and three kills. Claire Griffith had two kills and two aces.


Burke 3, Boyd County (Neb.) 0

BURKE — Class B No. 3 Burke swept Boyd County (Neb.) in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-16 and 25-20.

Burke’s Emmie Hausmann finished with 17 kills, one block and two aces. Brianna Davis totaled eight kills and 12 digs. Emmy Spencer recorded three kills and 10 assists. Kyrie Matucha added 10 digs and three aces. Katelynn Hagberg had two blocks. Daytona Paris finished with one block. Breckynn Pistulka had 14 assists.


Chester 3, Beresford 0 

CHESTER — Class B No. 1 Chester swept Beresford in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-9, 25-11 and 25-12.

Chester’s Lily VanHal recorded eight kills, 17 assists and three aces. Jacy Wolf recorded eight assists, 13 digs and seven kills. Emmerson Eppard posted two aces. Emilie Bleeker had two blocks. Gracie Huntimer posted 11 digs. 

Beresford stats were not reported.


Mobridge-Pollock 3, Stanley County 0

MOBRIDGE — Mobridge-Pollock swept Stanley County in Thursday’s high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-20, 25-18 and 25-11.

MP’s Blake Thompson tallied six kills and four digs, Jersey Frederick added five kills, five aces and three digs, Ellie Kemnitz dished out 15 assists with six aces and four digs, while Tegan Konold and Hayleigh Schlomer each had two aces in the win.

SC’s stats were not reported.


Deubrook Area 3, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 0

WHITE — Deubrook Area swept Oldham-Ramona/Rutland in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-8 and 25-16.

Deubrook Area’s Chloe Haines finished with eight kills and three blocks. Kylee Johnson totaled 13 digs, six kills, seven assists, two aces and two blocks. Carly Engelstad added four kills. Makenna Ekern posted 16 assists and 13 digs. Brynlee Hanson had three aces and four blocks. Neely Gustad and Maddie Schulte finished with 17 digs apiece.  

ORR’s Hattie Hanson finished with five kills, while Emma Powell posted four kills. Brookelyn Riedel added four kills, four assists and eight digs. Gabby Pickard had 16 digs. Brooklyn Hyland added seven digs. 


Hamlin 3, Redfield 0 

REDFIELD — Hamlin swept Redfield in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-12 and 25-15.

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf finished with 12 kills, 11 digs and one block. Jade Thue posted nine kills. Issie Steffensen recorded 27 assists and two aces. Maddy Jutting had four aces, while Paxton Neuendorf had two aces. Paige Stormo totaled 10 digs.

For Redfield, Charli Jungwirth finished with six kills and Kinley Smith totaled three kills. Hayden Gall had 10 assists and Layla Hardie added four assists. Brynn Giblin had four blocks. Katryn Evans had 12 digs and Gall had eight digs. 


Sioux Falls Christian 3, Yankton 0 

SIOUX FALLS — Class A No. 3 Sioux Falls Christian swept Yankton in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-15, 25-14 and 25-13.

Sioux Falls Christian’s Allyra Dorhout finished with 12 kills and five blocks. Jayla Overman posted 11 kills and three digs. Camdyn Mulder had seven kills, three digs and two blocks. Kinzie Poppema tallied six kills. Meredith Nelson recorded 34 assists and nine digs. Jasmine Vander Haar totaled 12 digs and Aubrie Van Beek posted 10 digs. Ella Fluth finished with five kills and eight digs. 

For Yankton, Burkley Olson posted four kills and 13 digs. Gracie Gutzmann, Ellie Drotzmann and Alaina Nelson had two blocks apiece. Jordyn Kuchera totaled 14 digs. Nelson and Brenna Elwood had 10 assists apiece.


Sioux Valley 3, Flandreau 0

VOLGA — Sioux Valley swept Flandreau during Thursday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-15 and 25-7.

SV’s Maci Licht had 11 kills, Abygale Degen recorded eight kills, Lacey Langland had seven kills, McKinley Schwab dished out 13 assists, Machaela Gerasch tallied 18 assists while Emma Gorvin collected five kills in the win.

For Flandreau, Rhegan sheppard and Aly Schepel each had five kills, Nora Hamilton dished out six assists, while Ady Krull tallied three assists in the loss.


Harrisburg 3, Sioux Falls Jefferson 0

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 1 Harrisburg swept Sioux Falls Jefferson in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-13, 25-8 and 25-15.

Harrisburg’s Gabi Zacharaisen finished with six aces, seven digs and 15 kills. Josalyn Samuels totaled 26 assists. Julia Masselink recorded nine kills. Bergen Stiff had two blocks. Lindsay Langner recorded 10 digs. Emma Masselink added seven digs. Klein added eight assists and Sarah Holt had two aces. 

Jefferson stats were not reported. 


Brandon Valley 3, Aberdeen Central 0

BRANDON — Class AA No. 2 Brandon Valley swept Aberdeen Central in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-14 and 25-16. 

BV’s Jersie Melcher posted five aces, 11 kills and 14 digs. Logan McQuire added 30 assists. Jayaunna Stroh added two blocks. Mya VanWesten had 20 digs. 

Aberdeen Central stats were not reported.
