Mahpiya Luta 50, Lower Brule 12

PINE RIDGE — Mahpiya Luta coasted past Lower Brule in the opening round of the Class 9A All-Nations Football Conference playoffs. 

Mahpiya Luta’s Jesse Carlow tossed three passing touchdowns, and scored on a kickoff return. Julian Tonche hauled in a touchdown reception, passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another score. Baylee Little, Braylon Little, Andre Means and Christian Jack hauled in touchdown receptions. Kendall LeBeau added an interception on defense. 

For Lower Brule, Nate Middletent rushed for a touchdown. Ethan Thigh connected with Rocco Estes for a touchdown reception. Thigh added an interception on defense. 

Mahpiya Luta plays at No. 1 Winnebago, Nebraska, on Oct. 31 in the semifinals. 

Little Wound 34, Pine Ridge 12

KYLE — Riley Casey totaled five touchdowns as Little Wound outlasted Pine Ridge in the opening round of the Class 9A All-Nations Football Conference playoffs Friday.

Casey struck for four rushing touchdowns of 16, 21, one and 65 yards each, adding a 57-yard pick-six in the win.

Pine Ridge’s Casen Clifford tallied a one-yard touchdown run, while Christian Pulliam returned his second interception of the game 25-yards for a pick-six in the loss.

Little Wound plays at No. 2 Todd County on Oct. 31 in the semifinals. 

Tiospa Zina 52, Omaha Nation 8

OMAHA, Neb. — Tiospa Zina topped Omaha Nation in Class 9B All-Nations Football Conference playoff action on Friday. 

Tiospa Zina’s Isaac Rodlund and Tyler Flute finished with two rushing touchdowns apiece. Eric Jens Jr., scored a rushing touchdown and scooped up a sack fumble for a touchdown. 

Omaha Nation’s Destin Parker had a rushing touchdown. 

Tiospa Zina plays at No. 2 White River on Oct. 31 in the semifinals. 

Marty 48, Crazy Horse 6

MARTY — Marty picked up a Class 9B All-Nations Football Conference win over Crazy Horse on Friday. 

Marty plays at No. 1 McLaughlin on Oct. 31 in the semifinals.
