Elk Point-Jefferson 48, Wagner 0

ELK POINT — Class 11B No. 1 Elk Point-Jefferson blanked Class 11B No. 5 Wagner in Friday high school football action. 

EPJ’s Luke Schmitz rushed for 116 yards on 11 carries and scored three touchdowns. Beau Schmitz added 71 yards rushing on eight carries and scored a touchdown. Cody Robinson posted 39 yards rushing and a touchdown. Levi Hanson completed 4-of-5 passes for 84 yards and two touchdown passes. Aiden Hammitt and Beau Schmitz both hauled in touchdown receptions.

Wagner’s Gannon Knebel rushed for 57 yards on nine carries. He completed 6-of-16 passes for 56 yards. Carlos Galindo had 28 yards receiving, while Shea Kjeldgaard posted 24 yards receiving. 

 

Sioux Valley 52, Flandreau 27 

VOLGA — Sioux Valley ran past Flandreau in Friday high school football action. The Cossacks rushed for 275 yards on 39 carries. 

Sioux Valley’s Mitchell Guthmiller rushed for 140 yards on 17 carries and scored four touchdowns. Wyatt Hardt added 64 rushing yards and 64 passing yards, while he had a passing touchdown. Tobin Squires had 55 receiving yards and Logan Mohn caught a touchdown pass. Braden Danzeisen had a kickoff return for a touchdown, had 10 tackles on defense and added an interception. Hunter Steinhaus had a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown. 

For Flandreau, Justin Klein rushed for 141 yards on 28 carries. Xavier Bien passed for 167 yards and tossed two passing touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown. Tate Hammer and Alexavier Poitra both caught touchdowns. Klein had 12 tackles and forced a fumble on defense. 


Chamberlain 24, Parker 16 

PARKER — Chamberlain edged Parker in Friday high school football action. 

Chamberlain’s Austin Rose rushed for 70 yards on 13 carries and scored two touchdowns. Kruse Brennan added 67 yards rushing and a touchdown. Brody Neilan had 52 yards rushing. Neilan added 26 passing yards, while Chase Knippling had 26 yards receiving on two catches. Brennan and Rose posted five tackles, while Knippling had an interception.

For Parker, Landon Wieman completed 16-of-28 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. Luke Travnicek had 70 yards receiving and a touchdown. Colin Robertson rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown, while he hauled in 85 yards receiving. Landon Wieman posted 96 yards rushing. Robertson had a team-high nine tackles. 


Britton-Hecla 53, Waubay-Summit 0

WAUBAY — Britton-Hecla blanked Waubay-Summit in Friday high school football action. 

Britton-Hecla’s Bryce Hawkinson rushed for 165 yards on 10 carries and scored four touchdowns. Jace Rein added 78 yards rushing and a touchdown. Tanner Atkinson and Bennett Suther rushed for touchdowns. Rein passed for 72 yards and a touchdown pass to Benjamin Folkman. Mitchell Burger hauled in 28 yards receiving. Jaxon Zuehlke posted 8.5 tackles on defense. 

For Waubay-Summit, Linken Niles rushed for nine yards and Evan Aaker passed for six yards. Zayne Strang had six yards receiving. Aker posted 2.5 tackles. 


Faulkton Area 34, North Central 0

EUREKA — Class 9B No. 4 Faulkton Area rushed for 230 yards and blanked North Central in Friday high school football action.

North Central’s Kobe Wherry passed for 42 yards and rushed for 25 yards on seven carries. Donovan Nelson had 73 yards receiving. Isaiah Heilman had six tackles. 


Dell Rapids 21, West Central 20

DELL RAPIDS — Class 11A No. 2 Dell Rapids clipped West Central in Friday high school football action. 

Dell Rapids’ Drake Eastman rushed for 128 yards on six carries and scored two touchdowns. Kenny Swanson added 55 yards rushing and a touchdown. 

For West Central, Hayden Whiting rushed for 87 yards on 12 carries and scored a touchdown. Tanner Wagner added 30 yards receiving and a touchdown.

 

Scotland-Menno 56, Colome 0

COLOME — Six different Trappers recorded a touchdown as Scotland-Menno blanked Colome in high school football action Friday.

Izayah Ulmer had two carries for 43 yards and a score, Jarret Andretta had three carries for 40 yards and two touchdowns, Rylan Derby tallied four carries for 31 yards and a touchdown, Mirik Vaith had two attempts for 27 yards and a touchdown, Hunter Yosten tallied 21 yards and a score on two attempts while Hunter Clark had a nine-yard touchdown run in the win. Yosten also recorded two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown for the Trappers.

Colome’s stats were not reported.


Woonsocket-Wessington Springs-Sanborn Central 33, Miller-Highmore-Harrold 0

MILLER — Class 11B No. 3 Woonsocket-Wessington Springs-Sanborn Central blanked Miller-Highmore-Harrold in high school football action Friday night.

Luke Larson completed nine-of-16 pass attempts for 119 yards and two touchdowns for the Bucks in the win, adding 101 yards and two rushing scores on eight carries. Wesley Molnar had 17 carries for 85 yards and a score, Nathan Gaikowski had eight carries for 55 yards. Dawson Baye-Larson totaled two receptions for 51 yards and a score while Colby Flowers caught two passes for 30 yards and a score. Flowers and Carson Finn led the team in tackles with six apiece.

Tea Area 20, Brookings 0

TEA — Tea Area blanked Brookings in Friday high school football action. 

Tea Area’s Brenner Konrad rushed for two touchdowns, while Mitch Grant added a passing touchdown. Grant finished with 77 yards rushing on 11 carries. Carter Brown rushed for 103 yards on 13 carries. Kade Korleski had 88 yards rushing. Grifin Wiebenga had 62 yards receiving and hauled in a touchdown. Hayden Bialas had nine tackles and 1.5 sacks. Chase DeBoer had two sacks.

For Brookings, Bergan Tetzlaff rushed for 43 yards on seven carries. Tetzlaff added 13 yards receiving. Jones Huntimer passed for 25 yards. Tetzlaff had 13 tackles on defense. 


Rapid City Christian 69, Lakota Tech 0 

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian blanked Lakota Tech in a Friday night high school football game. 

Rapid City Christian’s Hunter Noteboom rushed for 60 yards on six carries and scored three touchdowns. Thomas Loftus added five rushes for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Peyton Glenn passed for 20 yards and a touchdown. Brecken Pekarski added a touchdown pass, while Reagan Koskan had a touchdown reception. Owen Travnicek also caught a touchdown reception. Defensively, Gatlin Comer had five tackles and an interception. Noteboom added an interception, while Kjell Kragnes recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a score. Ben Utecht recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.
