PIERRE — Pierre’s Corde Austin claimed two first-place finishes at Tuesday’s Capital City Qualifier. 

Austin won the high jump (6-04) and long jump (21-10.00). Pierre’s Cactus Korkow won the discus (153-03). Pierre’s Karson Walti won the 100-meter dash (:10.87). Pierre’s Will Danburg secured the 200-meter dash (:22.94).

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Jayden Taken Alive won the 400-meter dash (:53.29) and took second in the 200-meter dash (:22.98). Jackson Taken Alive won the 3,200-meter run (10:20.16) and took second in the 1,600-meter run (4:27.76) for the Braves as well.

Pierre’s Jagger Gardner won the 800-meter run (2:04:21) while Caleb Morris secured the 1,600-meter run for the Govs (4:27.76).

Pierre’s Lincoln Dilges secured the 110-meter hurdles (:14.94).

Huron’s Teagan Lien captured the 300-meter hurdles (:43.43).

Pierre’s Carter Schiefelbein, Porter Hunsley, Danburg and Walti won the 400-meter relay (:44.47) while George Rapp, Walti, Hunsley and Schiefelbein captured the 800-meter relay (1:31.32).

Pierre’s Hayden Northrup, Dilges, Morris and Schiefelbein won the 1,600-meter relay (3:29.45) while Colt Brewer, Camden Lamb, Henry Clayton and Matthew Eckert captured the 3,200-meter relay (9:25.59).

Stanley County’s Paxton Deal, Landon Bame, Brendon Bothwell and Ryland Magee won the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (3:55.09).

Sully Buttes’ Jett Yackley secured the javelin throw (153-07).

Aberdeen Central’s Evan Sichmeller won the pole vault title (12-06).

Huron’s Carter Porisch won the shot put title (48-01) while Leon Waldner took first in the triple jump (42-04) for the Tigers.

On the girls’ side, Herreid/Selby Area’s Breanna Jochim won the 100-meter dash (:12.61).

Pierre’s Charlee Williams-Smith won the 200-meter dash (:25.15).

Jones County’s BreAna Aske won the 400-meter dash (:58.66).

Pierre’s Gwen Richter took the 800-meter run (2:26.07) while Emery Larson won the 1,600-meter run (5:27.17).

Gettysburg’s Jaycee Stevens captured the 3,200-meter run (13:16.40).

Hoven’s Dannika Kaup won the 100-meter hurdles (:15.80).

Mobridge-Pollock’s Jayda Thompson captured the 300-meter hurdles (:46.89).

Pierre’s Elliot Bertsch, Maddie Merrill, Brooke Hansen and Allyson Bauer secured the 400-meter relay (:51.36) while Bertsch, Ellen Hart, Josephine Wurtz and Bauer captured the 800-meter relay (1:48.13).

Pierre’s Reed Curry, Hart, Devyn Van Roekel and Williams-Smith won the 1,600-meter relay (4:07.09).

Jones County’s Aubrey Tucker, Molly Nix, Julia Kinsley and Addison Rankin captured the 3,200-meter relay (11:06.99).

Gettysburg’s Skyler Oster, Beth Seurer, Finlee Heien and Emma Schlachter won the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (4:26.31).

In the field events, Pierre’s Sorrinne Ekle won the discus (107-05) and shot put (35-04.75) titles.

JC’s Maggie Dowling won the javelin throw (107-11).

Aberdeen Central’s Jaidyn Forsyth won the pole vault event (10-00).

Pierre’s Amara Dell won the high jump title (5-00).

Mobridge-Pollock’s Bentley Bauer won the long jump (16-06.25).

Huron’s Allyson Trujillo-Cordova won the triple jump event (35-00.50).
