RAPID CITY — Two South Dakota football players have signed to play college football at South Dakota School of Mines.

Rapid City Central’s Henry Hill and Brandon Valley’s Mekhi Zacher were among the players that signed with the Hardrockers during National Signing day.

Henry Hill | WR | Rapid City, S.D.

Henry Hill joins the Hardrockers as a local product out of Rapid City Central High School. The 6-0, 155-pound wide receiver will also run Track & Field for South Dakota Mines.

"Henry was a kid we had in camp," Hardrockers head coach Charlie Flohr said. "He is an explosive player with return game capabilities. We are excited to have a local player added to this class. He was coached by former South Dakota Mines assistant Mike McCulley."

Mekhi Zacher | DE | Brandon, S.D.

Mekhi Zacher comes to the west side of South Dakota after winning the Class 11AAA state championship this past season. The 6'1, 215-pound outside linebacker guided the Lynx to an 11-1 record. His dad, Mike Zacher, broke the all-time sacks record at South Dakota Mines with 30 from the 1992-95 seasons

"Mekhi is a great football player with a great frame," Hardrockers head coach Charlie Flohr said. "He is a versatile player with a great football IQ."
