With two weeks remaining in the All-Nations Football Conference, Week Seven has an extra buzz about it as traditional rivalries across the league go down.

Class A games this week

Todd County at St. Francis Indian

Little Wound at Winnebago, Nebraska

Standing Rock at Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Tiospaye Topa

Red Cloud at Pine Ridge

Class B games this week

Flandreau Indian at Tiospa Zina

Omaha Nation at Marty Indian

Lower Brule at Crow Creek

McLaughlin at Crazy Horse

The matchup that has the most intrigue and of playoff hype surrounding it will be Saturday's game between Standing Rock, North Dakota and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Tiospaye Topa, in Eagle Butte. The Braves are coming off their biggest win of the season, a 30-22 win over Pine Ridge.

Standing Rock is coming off a 51-8 home loss to Winnebago, Nebraska, and these two teams are right next to one another for the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds for the Class A playoffs. These two teams will likely see each other in the first round of the playoffs with Thursday’s winner determining home field for that game.

Class A standings: 1. Todd County, 5-0 45.200; 2. Pine Ridge, 3-2 42.600; 3. Winnebago, NE, 3-2, 42.600; 4 Standing Rock, ND, 3-240.200; 5. Cheyenne Eagle-Butte/Tiospaye Topa, 3-3, 40.000; 6. Little Wound 2-4; 38.667; 7. St Francis Indian, 2-3, 38.600; 8. Red Cloud 0-5, 35.400

Last Week’s scores:

Tiospa Zina def. Crazy Horse by forfeit

McLaughlin 54, Flandreau Indian 0

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Tiospaye Topa 30, Pine Ridge 22

Winnebago, NE 51, Standing Rock, ND 8

Little Wound 50, Red Cloud 14

It’s been a great stretch of football for the McLaughlin Mustangs, who picked up two wins in the span of five days. The Mustangs defeated Cow Creek, 64-44, on Oct. 2 in Stephan. On Oct. 7, McLaughlin picked up a 54-0 shutout win at Flandreau Indian. The Mustangs play at Crazy Horse (1-4) on Thursday.

Still a logjam at the top of the Class B standings although Tiospa Zina has a slight lead over Omaha Nation and Lower Brule in the race for the top seed.
