Mobridge-Pollock 40, Belle Fourche 6

BELLE FOURCHE — Class 11B No. 4 Mobridge-Pollock pulled away from Belle Fourche for a Friday high school football win. The Tigers scored 26 second-half points to secure the win and improved to 5-0 on the season.

Mobridge-Pollock’s Mack Saxon scored four rushing touchdowns. Trueth Crow Ghost and Kyson Good Shield added touchdowns for the Tigers.

Slater Humbracht scored Belle Fourche's lone touchdown. Gavin Pearson added an interception on defense. 


Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 13, Wagner 6

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Class 11B No. 5 Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central outlasted Class 11B No. 2 Wagner in a thriller on Friday.

Grant Edwards red-zone interception in the closing seconds preserved the seven-point lead and the win for the Bucks. 

Luke Larson led the Bucks with 100 passing yards and one passing touchdown. Edwards and Wesley Molnar hauled in touchdown receptions. Molnar added 41 rushing yards and three interceptions on defense. Colby Flowers finished with six tackles. 


Parker 30, McCook Central/Montrose 20

PARKER — Parker outlasted McCook Central/Montrose for a Friday high school football win. 

Parker’s Landon Wieman passed for 125 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 68 yards and two more scores. Colin Robertson rushed for 132 yards on 21 carries and scored a touchdown. Robertson added 56 yards receiving, while Tonner Peterson hauled in a touchdown reception. Brady Beyer posted eight tackles. Bo Stone and Sully Sattler both had six tackles, while Sattler had two interceptions. 

MCM’s Owen Schmidt rushed for 120 yards on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns. Andrew Sabers passed for 66 yards, while Parker Randall had a touchdown pass to Sabers. Randall posted eight tackles. 


Harding County/Bison 24, Timber Lake 12

BUFFALO — Harding County/Bison scored 16 fourth-quarter points to outlast Timber Lake in Friday high school football action.

HCB’s Elim Simmons rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown. Revyn Floyd added a rushing touchdown. Hayden Pihl rushed for 84 yards and passed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Tyrel Koan hauled in a touchdown reception, while Colby Arthur had 53 yards receiving. Floyd had 13 tackles on defense. 

For Timber Lake, Kanton Hunt threw for 186 yards and a touchdown. Holden Gill added 45 passing yards and threw a touchdown for the Panthers. Hunt rushed for 35 yards. Gill posted 75 yards receiving. Broc Bauer had nine tackles. 

 

Hanson 49, Chester 0

CHESTER — Hanson blanked Chester in Friday high school football action. The Beavers racked up 447 total yards. 

Hanson’s Stetson Riggs rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown. Cole Dewald, Radek Jarding and Jason Porth added rushing touchdowns. Jett Jager passed for 113 yards and three touchdown passes. Porth caught two touchdowns, while Dewald also hauled in a passing touchdown. Jarding posted 10 tackles. Carter Endorf had an interception on defense. 

Chester’s Jaxton Opdahl passed for 68 yards.


Alcester-Hudson 41, Gayville-Volin 6

GAYVILLE — Class 9A No. 3 Alcester-Hudson ran away from Gayville-Volin in high school football action Friday.

Tommy Walth led all rushers with 90 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, Darin Dykstra added 75 yards and two touchdowns on just seven touches, Karzen Sommervold tallied 22 yards and a score while Ethan Brown scored on the ground as well.

For GV, Jeremiah Gustad completed nine passes for 114 yards and two interceptions. Nate Larsen completed two passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. Wyatt Mehlhaf had four catches for 110 yards while Grayden Logan hauled in a 29-yard touchdown strike.Gustad also led the team in rushing with 74 yards on 13 carries.


Winner 36, Miller/Highmore-Harrold 8

MILLER — Winner topped Miller/Highmore-Harrold in Friday high school football action. The Warriors rushed for 222 yards on 54 carries. 

Winner’s Ryken Orel rushed for two touchdowns, while Zac Olson and Camdyn Anderson added rushing touchdowns. Quincy Phillips passed for 24 yards on a reception to Carter McKenzie. Seth Heath posted three tackles and an interception for a touchdown, while Orel had 4.5 tackles.

For the Rustlers, JD Chavez scored a 34-yard rushing touchdown. Derek Brueggeman passed for 39 yards and Isaak Hunter had 21 yards receiving. Chase Hurd rushed for 40 yards on five carries.

 

Dell Rapids St. Mary 78, Iroquois/Lake Preston 24

DELL RAPIDS — Class 9B No. 3 Dell Rapids St. Mary erupted for 515 total yards in Friday high school football action. The Cardinals rushed for 446 yards.

St. Mary’s Trimmier Hanson rushed for 123 yards on six carries and scored three touchdowns. Lincoln LeBrun added 96 rushing yards. Pano Skliris, Thomas LaVoy, Jaxon Baumberger, Jake Heinitz and Jacob Geraets had rushing touchdowns. Baumberger and Logan Bauer had touchdown receptions. Hanson added 69 yards passing and two touchdowns. Geraets posted five tackles. Hanson and Colter Griffin added interceptions on defense. 

ILP finished with 196 total yards, including 120 through the air. 


De Smet 54, Florence-Henry 14

DE SMET — De Smet pulled away from Florence-Henry for a Friday high school football win. 

De Smet’s Brody Halverson finished with 100 passing yards and three touchdown passes, while rushing for 43 yards. Slayten Wilkinson rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns, while hauling in two touchdown passes and 60 yards receiving. Coy Van Regenmorter added 56 yards rushing and a touchdown. Blake Jenning caught a touchdown reception. Wilkinson had 12 tackles and two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown on defense. Carter Wilkinson posted two sacks. 

For Florence-Henry, Dawson Lantgen passed for 178 yards and two touchdown passes. Tucker Keller and James Kahnke caught touchdown passes. Keller and Carson Kelly posted 12 tackles apiece. 


Sioux Falls Lutheran 44, Canistota 6

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Lutheran coasted past Canistota for a Friday night high school football win.

SFL’s Ka’Marrien Garcia rushed for two touchdowns and 43 yards. Abbot Moeller and Jake Hohn rushed for touchdowns. Rowen Becker passed for 33 yards and a touchdown pass to Moller. Peter Samp posted eight tackles on defense. 

For Canistota, Carter Becker rushed for 36 yards on 11 carries. Easton Miller passed for 20 yards and Joshua Popkes Jr., had 14 yards receiving. Becker had 4.5 tackles and Blaise Spicer had an interception. 


Milbank 29, Vermillion 14

MILBANK — Milbank pulled past Vermillion for a Friday high school football win. 

Milbank’s Braylen Bowsher passed for 128 yards and two touchdown passes. Bowsher added two rushing touchdowns. Ethan Seyer and Mason Allen caught touchdown passes. Micah Tostenson posted six tackles and one sack. Allen and Sam Rick had interceptions. 

For Vermillion, Hayden Christopherson passed for 124 yards and one touchdown. Ryne Chapman had a rushing touchdown and receiving touchdown. Dain Richardson posted four tackles. 


Centerville 55, Irene-Wakonda 0 

IRENE — Centerville blanked Irene-Wakonda in Friday high school football action.

Alec Austin tossed three touchdown passes and threw for 93 yards. Logan Ruter rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown. Austin, Lane Ruter and Bo Eide added rushing touchdowns. Corbin Tople caught two touchdown passes and Charlie Eide hauled in a touchdown catch. Logan Ruter, Tople and B. Eide had interceptions on defense. Charlie Eide had nine tackles.

For IW, Brody Johnke rushed for 84 yards on 22 carries. He also passed for 38 yards. Noah Hansen had 30 yards receiving. Hayden Hansen had three tackles on defense. 


Deuel 46, Sioux Valley 40

VOLGA — Deuel’s Aiden Sievers threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Oliver Fieber as time expired to lift the Cardinals to a high school football win on Friday.

Sievers completed 11-of-19 passes for 214 yards and threw four passing touchdowns. Troy Jensen hauled in five catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. Fieber had 84 yards receiving and caught three touchdowns. Gavin Kloos rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown. Sievers posted 14 tackles.

For Sioux Valley, Wyatt Hardt rushed for 115 yards on 24 carries and scored two rushing yards. He added 175 yards passing and three passing touchdowns. Braden Danzeisen had 59 yards receiving. Mitchell Guthmiller rushed for 62 yards and scored two total touchdowns. Hardt posted six tackles. 


Tea Area 26, Mitchell 20 (OT) 

MITCHELL — Tea Area clipped Mitchell in Friday high school football action. 

Tea Area’s Kade Korleski rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Mitch Grant added 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner in overtime. Grant passed for 86 yards. Grifin Wiebenga added 53 yards receiving. Carter Brown had 12 tackles on defense. 

For Mitchell, Logan Bessler rushed for 80 yards on 14 carries. Jaxson Hartman passed for 53 yards, while Kendan Skinner had 48 yards receiving. Colton Smith had 10 tackles on defense.

 

Ipswich 52, Herreid-Selby Area 12

IPSWICH — Ipswich ran away from Class 9B No. 4 Herreid-Selby Area during Friday’s high school football action.

Kyle Hettich tallied 103 yards and one touchdown on five carries, Casey Geditz added 79 yards and three rushing touchdowns on 10 carries. Hettich also caught three passes for 37 yards, while Jace Stiles hauled in two passes for 59 yards in the win.

For HSA, Tatum Quashnick led the Wolverines with 84 yards on the ground, including a rushing score, Porter Gregg collected 34 yards on 11 carries while Xavier Ritter had two catches for 54 yards in the loss.


Britton-Hecla 46, Great Plains Lutheran 0

BRITTON — Britton-Hecla ran for 225 yards as the Braves blanked Great Plains Lutheran in high school football Friday.

Bryce Hawkinson led the Braves with 14 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown, Jace Rein had four carries for 50 yards and a score, while Bryce Heitkamp added 36 yards and a touchdown on five carries.Rein also completed three passes for 34 yards and two passing touchdowns, connecting with Bennett Suther and Mitchell Burger for both scores.

For GPL, Lucas Johnson had four rushing yards. Holden Karli completed two passes for 45 yards and an interception while Caleb Kannas had five completions for 35 yards and three interceptions in the loss.


Hitchcock-Tulare 42, Sunshine Bible Academy 22

MILLER — Devin Enander scored four total touchdowns as Hitchcock-Tulare defeated Sunshine Bible Academy in high school football action Friday.

Enander scored two rushing touchdowns on six carries for 89 yards, adding five completions for 67 yards and two touchdowns. Max Gilbert ran 10 times for 86 yards and a touchdown while Derek Johnson recorded 29 yards and a score on the ground. Morgon Bottum had three catches for 41 yards and a score while Patrick Maynard had 26 yards and a touchdown on two receptions.

For GPL, Tarrence Mickelson rushed four times for 146 yards and two touchdowns, completing one pass for 73 yards and a touchdown, with Toby Mickelson hauling in the reception. Lucas Nelson and Carter Crump each had eight tackles on defense.


Dell Rapids 22, Tri-Valley 14 (OT)

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids clipped Tri-Valley in an overtime football game on Friday. 

Dell Rapids’ Ryan Stubbe racked up 168 yards rushing on 33 carries and scored two touchdowns. Kenny Swanson rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. 

TV’s Brody Dybvig rushed for 79 yards on nine carries.
