Sioux Falls Roosevelt 35, Sioux Falls Washington 26

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Roosevelt scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to knock off Class 11AAA No. 5 Sioux Falls Washington on Saturday at the Presidents Bowl.

Mason Wilson’s two-yard touchdown plunge gave Sioux Falls Washington a 26-21 lead with 10:45 left. Talon Stief’s three-yard touchdown gave Roosevelt a 27-26 advantage with 7:14 left. Roosevelt’s Austin Markman sealed the victory with a 23-yard touchdown jaunt with 2:17 left. 

Stief added a 40-yard touchdown run for the Rough Riders. Roosevelt’s Jaxsen Grevengoed and Jackson Brouwer both scored touchdown runs in the win. 

For Washington, Thomas Hoffman threw a pair of touchdown passes to Pierce Gomarko. Hoffman also connected with Jeremiah Oman for a touchdown strike.

SIOUX FALLS — Class 11AAA No. 1 Sioux Falls Lincoln built a 40-0 halftime lead en route to a win over Class 11AAA No. 2 Sioux Falls Jefferson at the Presidents Bowl Saturday.

Lincoln’s Tate Schafer completed 16 of 23 passes for 255 yards and threw two passing touchdowns, while he added a rushing touchdown. He completed passing touchdowns to Jack Smith and Mikey Roche. Dreavon Hodge scored two touchdowns. 

Sawyer Tolk added a touchdown pass to Dawson Siem. Myers scored a rushing touchdown for the Patriots.
