SIOUX FALLS — The University of Sioux Falls football team signed 38 players on National Signing Day, including six from South Dakota. 

The South Dakotans are listed below: 

LUCAS HONNER Wide Receiver / Tight End Sioux Falls, S.D. | Sioux Falls Lincoln HS

A versatile athlete who brings value across football and track & field. As a tight end, he provided size and physicality at the point of attack, while also excelling in the javelin as a state champion. A multi-sport competitor and National Honor Society member, he paired athletic success with strong academic achievement throughout his high school career.

PRESTON MARTY Safety Sioux Falls, S.D. | Sioux Falls Lincoln HS 

A championship-tested safety who contributed to multiple deep postseason runs. A two-time state champion and one-time state runnerup, he was also a nominated team captain. His high school career was defined by winning experience, consistency in the secondary, and reliability in high-pressure games.

JENSEN PIXLER Linebacker Sioux Falls, S.D. | Sioux Falls Christian 

A nationally recognized linebacker with one of the most accomplished prep careers in the region. A two-time first-team all-state selection and 11A Player of the Year, he earned All-American honors and finished as his school’s all-time tackles leader. He was also named the Chad Greenway Linebacker of the Year.

DAEVION SIMONSEN Running Back Sioux Falls, S.D. | Sioux Falls Jefferson HS

A recordsetting running back with one of the most decorated careers in school history. A two-time all-state and all-Metro selection, he broke all 10 school rushing records while earning team MVP, offensive MVP, and offensive player of the year honors. A proven leader as a multi-time team captain.

KARSTEN SISSOKO Wide Receiver Brandon, S.D. | Sioux Falls Jefferson 

A productive wide receiver who made a consistent impact in the passing game. He brought size and strong hands on the perimeter while competing at a high level throughout his prep career. An academic all-state and scholar-athlete honoree, he paired his on-field contributions with reliability and discipline, earning recognition for both football performance and academic excellence.

LEVI VESKRNA Running Back Brandon, S.D. | Brandon Valley HS

A record-setting running back with elite production and statewide recognition. A two-time all-state selection, he set state and school records with 35 rushing touchdowns in a season and 64 in a career, earning Running Back of the Year and state championship MVP honors. He also added all-state accolades in track and wrestling, showcasing rare versatility and competitiveness.
