RAPID CITY — Sturgis edged Winner for the boys team title at Saturday’s Rapid City Invitational wrestling tournament.

The Scoopers totaled 198 points, followed by Winner (193.5) and Watertown (169.5). Pierre (164) and Bismarck, North Dakota (138) rounded out the top-five teams. 

For Sturgis, Tyler Baldwin (120 pounds) and Zhoel Irion (215) won individual titles. Winner’s Apollo Willuweit (106), Roukyn Robbins (126) and Ryken Orel (150) captured individual titles. Watertown’s Shea Richter (132) and Gage Lohr (157) won titles. 

Other South Dakotans to win individual titles were Tea Area’s Tyler Woodring (138), Pierre’s Alex Oedekoven (144), Canton’s Aidan Kranz (190) and O’Gorman’s Rip Siemonsma (285).
