Kadoka Area 62, Lyman 14

PRESHO — Kole Hermann and Garrett Hermann powered Kadoka Area to a high school football win on Friday. 

Kole Hermann scored three rushing touchdowns, while Garrett Hermann scored two rushing scores. Kadoka Area’s Gus Stout scored two rushing touchdowns, while Jerrett Hutchinson added a rushing score. 

For Lyman, Brayden Oldenkamp scored on an 80-yard kickoff return. Cole Kieffer hauled in a 27-yard touchdown reception from Conway Collins. 


Dakota Valley 22, Dell Rapids 14

DELL RAPIDS — Dakota Valley held on to an early 16-point lead to upset Class 11A No. 2 Dell Rapids in high school football action Friday.

Dakota Valley ran for 134 yards and a touchdown, while throwing for 160 yards through the air, with two more touchdown passes. No individual stats were recorded for Dakota Valley.

Dell Rapids’ Cole Ruesink ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, Quinn Carr added another 79 yards on the ground on just nine carries, while Drake Eastman led the Quarrier defense with nine tackles in the loss.


Canistota 12, Colman-Egan 6

COLMAN — Class 9B No. 5 Canistota held off the upset-bid to defeat Colman-Egan in high school football action Friday.

Canistota’s Brady Scott completed eight passes for 116 yards, while Easton Miller caught six passes for 101 yards. Scott led the Canistota in rushing with 54 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, while Levi Schroeder added another 49 yards and a score on the ground in the win.

Hayden Pearson threw for 84 yards and a touchdown on five completions, with Jace Mousel collecting four of his passes for 63 yards and a score. Pearson also led the rushing attack with 34 yards on 17 carries.

 

Winner 24, Wagner 6

WINNER — Three different players scored rushing touchdowns as Class 11B No. 1 Winner picked up a high school football win on Friday.

Gus Bartels, Eli Vobr and Karson Keiser each scored rushing touchdowns. Bartels had a team-high 48 yards rushing and Winner rushed for 185 yards as a team. Quincy Phillips had 25 yards passing. Kellen Brozik had two catches for 41 yards. Seth Heath and Gus Bartels posted a team-high six tackles apiece. 

Wagner’s Gannon Knebel for 128 yards on 28 carries and scored a touchdown. Knebel also threw for 42 yards. Shea Kjeldgaard and Carlos Galindo hauled in 21 yards receiving apiece. Knebel had eight tackles and Kjeldgaard had an interception.

Parkston 54, Stanley County 16 

PARKSTON — Behind 457 total yards of offense, Class 9AA No.1 Parkston defeated Stanley County  in high school football action Friday.

The two Parkston passers didn’t throw an incomplete pass, Carter Sommer was 4-for-4 with 133 yards and three passing touchdowns, while Brycen Bruening tossed another four passes for 117 yards and two more touchdowns.

Kolter Kramer reeled in four of the eight completions for 133 yards and three touchdowns, Trey Boettcher caught two passes for 69 yards and a score, while Reco Muilenberg reeled in a 35-yard touchdown as well.

For Stanley County, Colton Brady led the offense with 138 yards on 15 carries, scoring two touchdowns. Brendon Bothwell had four receptions for 12 yards in the loss as well.


Dell Rapids St. Mary 52, Irene-Wakonda 0

SIOUX FALLS — Class 9B No. 4 Dell Rapids St. Mary ran for 278 yards on its way to a shutout victory over Irene-Wakonda Friday.

Thomas LaVoy led the charge with 126 yards and a touchdown on five carries, Jaxon Baumberger collected 89 yards and a touchdown on two carries, while Trimmier Hanson added another 88 yards and two touchdowns on three carries. Hanson also completed three passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Lincoln LeBrun caught a 59-yard touchdown pass, while Keaton Hanson scored on a 51-yard touchdown pass as well.

For I-W, Max Pollman collected 44 yards on five carries, while Jens Hansen tallied 28 yards on 16 carries in the loss.


Corsica-Stickney 28, Scotland-Menno 16

CORSICA — Class 9B No. 3 Corsica-Stickney took down Scotland-Menno in Friday night football action.

Corsica-Stickney’s Waylon Bolle powered the Jaguar offense with 166 yards on 27 carries, including two touchdown runs. Bolle also threw a touchdown to Caden Baumiller. Brody Muck led the defense with seven tackles.

Scotland-Menno’s Izayah Ulmer led the effort in the loss going 10-for-23 passing with 131 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Elkton-Lake Benton 40, Viborg-Hurley 24

VIBORG — Class 9AA No. 3 Elkton-Lake Benton picked up a high school football win over Class 9AA No. 5 Viborg-Hurley on Friday.

ELB’s Colt Beck finished with 171 yards passing and one passing touchdown. Beck added 89 yards rushing and three more touchdowns. Tanner Stein rushed for 28 yards and two touchdowns. Stein hauled in four catches for 104 yards and one touchdown reception. Stein, Beck and Blake DeVries had eight tackles apiece. Stein and Beck each had interceptions on defense.

For Viborg-Hurley, Brenner Gerdes completed 12-of-34 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Gerdes had a rushing touchdown, while Jacob Graves rushed for 28 yards. Nick Hanson hauled in five catches for 108 yards and a touchdown reception. Brady Schroedermeier had 70 yards receiving and a touchdown catch.

 

Hamlin 44, Hanson 6

HAYTI — Class 9AA No. 2 Hamlin pulled away from Class 9AA No. 4 Hanson in Friday high school football action. 

Jackson Wadsworth completed 22 of 28 passes for 301 yards and four touchdowns for Hamlin. He threw two touchdown passes to Evan Stormo, while Mason Trowbridge and Jaden Olsen also caught touchdown receptions. Stormo and Trowbridge added rushing touchdowns, while Easton Neuendorf returned an interception 55 yards for another score.

Trowbridge rushed 15 times for 72 yards and also caught four passes for 54 yards. Stormo made five catches for 102 yards.

Wadsworth made seven tackles and Stevenson intercepted three passes for Hamlin.

Hanson’s Sutton Dewald rushed 30 yards. 

Stetson Riggs posted six tackles. Radek Jarding had 5.5 tackles and Dewald added five tackles. 


Great Plains Lutheran 42, Waubay-Summit 29

WAUBAY — Micah Holien rushed for a school-record 355 yards and four touchdowns as Great Plains Lutheran picked up a high school football win on Friday. 

Holien scored on runs of 83, 44, 10 and 43 yards and also added 10 tackles for the Panthers. Brody Scharlemann had a one-yard TD run and threw a six-yard scoring pass to Greyson Liens. Aiden Cameron also made 10 tackles and Lucas Johnson eight.

Waubay-Summit’s Brooks Dolen scored on runs of 4 and 38 yards and also kicked a 37-yard field goal. Jayven Maag scored on a 30-yard run and an 80-yard kickoff return. Dolen rushed 15 times for 100 yards and Dylan Rumpza six for 84. Evan Akers completed eight of 25 passes for 65 yards.


Herreid/Selby Area 50, Northwestern 0

SELBY — A big night from Jared Weisbeck helped Herreid/Selby Area blank Northwestern in high school football action Friday. 

Weisbeck completed nine-of-13 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Houston Hauge rushed for a touchdown and caught three passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Addonnais Mills and Noah Schuetzle each caught touchdown passes for the Wolverines. 

Kaden Sayler led Northwestern’s defense with five tackles and two tackles for loss. 


De Smet 72, Garretson 21 

DESMET — Ganon Henrich scored rushing touchdowns as De Smet picked up a high school football win over Garretson on Friday.

Henrich rushed for 212 yards on seven carries and scored four touchdowns. Slayten Wilkinson added 127 yards rushing on eight carries and scored three rushing touchdowns. He added a 72-yard kickoff return for a score. Gannon Gilligan had a rushing touchdown. Defensively, Wilkinson posted eight tackles, Henrich and Gilligan had five tackles apiece. Carter Wilkinson blocked a punt for a touchdown. RJ Cleveland added an interception. 

For Garretson, Cole Jessen completed 14-of-21 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Treyton Decker hauled in 77 yards receiving and two touchdown catches. Collin Olson had a 72-yard kickoff return for a score. Martin Welch had six tackles. 


Kimball/White Lake 52, Redfield 0

REDFIELD — Six different players scored eight touchdowns as Kimball/White Lake blanked Redfield in high school football action Friday. 

Iden Myers led the WiLdKats with five rushes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Chevy Fees added nine rushes for 94 yards and a touchdown. Nathan Mohnen was the top receiver with two catches for 66 yards while Carter Konechne and Lucas Lenz combined for 15 tackles. 

Stats for Redfield were not available.

 

Chester 7, Castlewood 0

CHESTER — Layke Wold connected with Jaxton Opdahl for a 12-yard touchdown pass as Chester clipped Castlewood in high school football action on Friday. 

Wold went 12-for-20 passing for 139 yards, while Zach Moyer made three catches for 30 yards. 

Castlewood’s Camron Eng rushed for 130 yards and also posted 13 tackles. Trevor Everson had six tackles and Bryon Laue, Brody Bass and Kamden Keszler five each. Laue and Bass each had two quarterback sacks and Keszler recovered a fumble.


Deuel 40, Sisseton 0

CLEAR LAKE — Aiden Sievers threw for nearly 300 yards as the Cardinals took down Sisseton in high school football action Friday.

Siever threw just nine passes for 279 yards and three touchdown passes, with Gabe Sather and Troy Jenson combining for five receptions for 244 yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Gavin Kloos led the Cardinals on the ground with 90 yards on two carries, both going for scores.

For Sisseton, Taylor Snaza had 40 yards on the ground, while Jackson Wegener tossed 50 yards through the air in the loss.


Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 42, Lead-Deadwood 6

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — A balanced offense helped Class 11B No.4 Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central power past Lead-Deadwood in football action Friday. 

Payton Uecker rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns while Holden Havlik completed 10-of-16 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Ryder Michalek caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown. Grant Edwards led the defense with three tackles and three interceptions, one of which he ran back for a touchdown. Karter Mebius had five tackles for the Blackhawks. 

Stats for Lead-Deadwood were not available. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 36, St. Thomas More 30

MOUNT VERNON — A prolific running game helped Mount Vernon/Plankinton hold off St. Thomore More in football action Friday. 

Brady Fox led the Titans with 132 rushing yards and a touchdown. Riley Mayer had eight carries for 100 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Isaiah Olson rushed for 46 yards and a score while throwing for 76 yards and two scores, one apiece to Kyle Sandland and Tyce Feistner. 

Noah Wald led St. Thomas More and passed for 306 yards and four touchdowns. Kain Mcleod caught four passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. Max Speed and Grayden Juve each had touchdown receptions for the Cavaliers. 

 

Groton Area 29, Mobridge-Pollock 12

GROTON — Korbin Kucker and Keegen Tracy each scored two touchdowns as Groton Area picked up a high school football win on Friday. 

Kucker scored on runs of 3 and 40 yards. Tracy caught a 23-yard pass from Kucker and also returned a kickoff 89 yards for another score.

Kucker ran for 41 yards. Ryder Johnson passed for 94 yards and Tracy hauled in three passes for 68 yards. Tucker Hardy posted 13 tackles.

Mack Saxon and Jackson Eisemann each had touchdown runs for Mobridge-Pollock. Saxon ran the football 26 times for 151 yards and caught two passes for 46. Carter Hinsz led the defense with eight tackles.


Madison 41, Belle Fourche 6

MADISON — A bruising running game helped Madison earn a win over Belle Fourche in high school football action Friday. 

The Bulldogs ground out 321 yards led by Ben Brooks who finished with 14 carries for 114 yards and four touchdowns. Jordan Pederson added 107 yards and a touchdown while Caleb Hodges chipped in with 57 yards rushing. Brooks threw for 173 yards and a touchdown with his favorite target being Myles Schneider who caught one pass for 85 yards. 

Belle Fourche quarterback Joseph McLennen finished with 192 yards and a touchdown pass to Harvey Walding. McLennen also rushed for 78 yards. 


Spearfish 39, Tea Area 29

SPEARFISH — A balanced offensive attack helped Spearfish to an upset victory of Class 11AA No. 3 Tea Area in high school football action Friday. 

Mick Bosh and Thomas Hughes combined for 115 rushing yards. Jack Coauette  passed for 187 yards and two touchdowns with Dylen Doren catching two passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Doren also returned a Tea Area kickoff for a 97-yard touchdown. 

Brenner Konrad led Tea Area with122 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Sam Werdel had 14 carries for 103 yards and a score for Tea Area.
