BRANDON — The Brandon Valley boys track and field team proved they can defend their home track as they had an impressive showing at the Brandon Valley Invitational on Saturday. 

The Lynx boys took home several first place finishes, including individual winners Julian Watson in the 400-meter dash, Joey Anders in the 800-meter dash, Jeremiah Donahoe in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and Brayden Cline in the discus. Brandon Valley also won the 800-meter and 1,600-meter relays.  

On the girls side, Sioux Falls Lincoln had an impressive outing, with Ellen Merkley and Lauren Merkley placing first and second in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and long jump. Dymond Nave and Joy Bilal placed first and second in the 100-meter hurdles, with Bilal also winning the 300-meter hurdles. Kyra Knudtson won the discus, while Norah Christiansen won the shot put. The Patriots also captured the 400-meter relay.
