RAPID CITY — Canton continued its reign atop Class B wrestling on Saturday at the Monument Arena.

The C-Hawks captured their eight consecutive Class B state wrestling championship, and 10th since 2012. 

Canton racked up 189 points, finishing ahead of second-place Winner (140) and third-place Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes (121) for the state championship. 

Canton’s Landon Walker (113 pounds), Carter Kendricks (120), Conner Giedd (150), Teague Granum (190) and Hunter Richmond (285) all captured individual state championships. 

Winner, which took second for the sixth time since 2017, had two individual state champs: Apollo Willuweit (106) and Karson Keiser (138). 

The 2025 Class B state tournament featured two athletes that won a third consecutive title. Custer’s Tray Weiss (132) and Miller/Highmore-Harrold’s Kellan Hurd (144) each won the third title of their careers Saturday.
