West Central 11, Tri-Valley 1 (6 innings)

ABERDEEN — West Central pounded out 12 hits as the Trojans defeated Tri-Valley in the third-place game at the Class A state softball tournament on Saturday.

Sophie Rolfson led the Trojans with four hits and three RBIs, Miley Travis added three hits, including a solo homer, a walk, and an RBI while Ayla Kramer and Stella Siemonsma each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Linzie Hoff earned the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing one run on four hits and one walk, striking out two. Hoff also had four RBIs in the win.

For TV, Emry Jones took the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits and one walk in four innings of work, striking out one.

Mattie Huwe had three hits, Haleigh Wallenstein tallied two hits while Jones added an RBI-single in the loss.


Sioux Valley 9, Beresford 5

ABERDEEN — McKinley Schwab and Morgan Lemme drove in seven combined runs as Sioux Valley topped Beresford in the Class A consolation championship game on Saturday.

Schwab batted 3-for-4 with a double, homer and four RBIs while Lemme added three hits and three RBIs for the Cossacks.

Schwab earned the win on the mound in 4.1 innings of work, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out seven.

For Beresford, Brynlee Mohning took the loss in 5.1 innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits and a walk, striking out seven.

Rylie Laurvick and Harley Koth each drove in two runs on two hits, Tavyn Tiedeman added two hits while Kate Degen tallied an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Lennox 11, Madison 7

ABERDEEN — Lennox pounded out 15 hits as the Orioles defeated Madison to claim seventh place at the Class A state tournament on Saturday.

Hayley Hahn led Lennox with three RBIs on two hits, one double, Morgan DeHaan and Jersey Zahn each had two RBIs on two hits, Macy Wallenstein tallied two hits, a walk, and an RBI, Lacyi Eli had three hits while Hailey Seelen, Madyson Dykstra and Lauren Anacker each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Hahn earned the win on the mound in five innings pitched, allowing seven runs on 11 hits, striking out three.

For Madison, Kelcie Dudley took the loss, allowing nine runs on 11 hits and four walks in 6.2 innings, striking out eight.

Ella Malone drove in four runs on two hits, including a homer, Evie Lurz added two hits and an RBI, Addison Voss added three hits and an RBI, Dudley tallied two hits while Aubri Tobkin had an RBI on one hit in the loss.
