Lennox 57, Hamlin 41

WATERTOWN — Lennox pulled away from Hamlin in the Class A girls basketball tournament semifinals on Friday. 

Lennox’s Teagen Sturm logged 14 points and four rebounds. Bergan Musser had 12 points and four rebounds. Karlie Bosma added nine points, while Tori Gerdes posted eight points and five boards. Adie McVey totaled six points and four rebounds. 

For Hamlin, Addison Neuendorf totaled 22 points, five 3-pointers and three rebounds. Issie Steffensen recorded seven points. Addie Jensen recorded five points and 10 rebounds. Sarita Stevenson logged seven rebounds and four points. 


Mahpiya Luta 58, Sioux Falls Christian 45

WATERTOWN — Mahpiya Luta pulled away from Sioux Falls Christian in the semifinals of the Class A state girls basketball tournament on Friday.

Ashlan Carlow-Blount finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals. Peyton Knife totaled 10 points, while Dorthie Mesteth had nine points. Mya Mills and Jayden Standing Soldier scored eight points apiece. 

For SFC, Emory Lems scored 15 points and had six rebounds. Aubrie VanBeek had 10 points and six rebounds. Ruth Dvoracek and Lezlei Setzer had eight points. 


Sioux Valley 61, Lakota Tech 53

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double figures to power Sioux Valley to a Class A girls basketball tournament win on Friday.

SV’s Kailey Cradduck finished with 19 points and 17 boards. Amari Ward added 14 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Talya Vincent had 12 points on four 3-pointers. She added four assists. Avery Schmuck recorded seven points. Liberty Trygstad posted five points, three rebounds and three assists.

For Lakota Tech, Lizzie Robinson posted 22 points, five assists and four rebounds. Amelia Shangreaux added 15 points, seven steals, five rebounds and three assists. Isabella Shangreaux logged seven points and seven rebounds. Kate Robinson had seven boards and three points. Addison Goings totaled four points and five rebounds. 


West Central 46, Wagner 38

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double figures in the Class A girls basketball tournament on Friday.

West Central’s Kacey Jaton posted 16 points, five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Mackenzie Skonhovd had 11 points and three assists. Ellie Knight totaled 10 points, eight rebounds, five steals, four assists and three 3-pointers. 

For Wagner, Ashlyn Koupal poured in 35 points and collected 17 rebounds.
