Wagner 72, Tea Area 52

MITCHELL — Wagner pulled away from Tea Area and advanced to the Class A girls basketball tournament on Thursday. 

Emma Yost led Wagner with 30 points and Shalayne Nagel netted 15 points. Macy Koupal had 14 points and Ashlyn Koupal scored eight points. Lydia Yost had five points. 

 

Red Cloud 63, Garretson 58

WINNER — Ashlan Blount and Lolo Carlow combined for 30 points as the Red Cloud girls advanced to the Class A state tournament with a win over Garretson Thursday. 

Carlow had a strong second half to lead Red Cloud with 16 points. Blount scored 14 points, all in the first half. Maikole Carlow added nine points while Victoria Good Buffalo and Anjah Lamont each scored eight points for the Crusaders. 

Logan Bly led Garretson with 23 points while Sydney Olson scored 12 for the Blue Dragons. 

Lakota Tech 68, Dupree 34 

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Lakota Tech punched their ticket to the Class A state tournament with a win over Dupree on Thursday. 

Jodene Hunter paced the Tatanka with 14 points, two assists and three steals. Taylor Byerley scored 11 points while Shania Ferguson added 10 points. Melina Shangreaux added 12 points and seven rebounds. 

Chloe Dupree led Dupree with 11 points while Taylee Jewett added eight points. 

Sisseton 59, Parkston 46

VOLGA — Krista Langager and Hannah Leverson combined for 41 points as Sisseton, 20-2 earned a Class A state tournament berth with a win over Parkston in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Krista Langager led Sisseton with 22 points while Hannah Leverson added 19. 

Faith Oakley led Parkston with 15 points. Mya Thuringer finished with 11 points while Abby Hohn chipped in with 10 points. 

 

Flandreau 47, St. Thomas More 38

PIERRE — Flandreau qualified for the Class A state girls basketball tournament on Thursday. 

The Class A tournament is March 9-11 in Watertown. 

Rapid City Christian 60, Miller 47

PHILIP — Rapid City Christian qualified for the Class A girls basketball tournament on Thursday. 

The Class A tournament is March 9-11 in Watertown. 

Hamlin 60, Milbank 24

WATERTOWN — Hamlin advanced to the Class A girls basketball tournament on Thursday. 

The Class A tournament is March 9-11 in Watertown. 

Sioux Falls Christian 61, Lennox 29

HARRISBURG — Sioux Falls Christian qualified for the Class A girls basketball tournament on Thursday.

The Class A tournament is March 9-11 in Watertown.
