Flandreau 55, Lakota Tech 41

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double figures to power Flandreau to a Class B girls basketball tournament win on Friday. 

Claire Sheppard finished with 22 points, while Sadie Iott added 11 points and six rebounds. Lily Klein and Lizzie Pavlis scored nine points apiece. Klein added seven rebounds, while Pavlis posted five boards. 

Lakota Tech’s Melina Shangreaux scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds. Tawny Rodriguez had 10 points and six rebounds. Shyleigh Richard scored six points.

Sioux Falls Christian 52, Rapid City Christian 42

WATERTOWN — A balanced scoring attack helped Sioux Falls Christian pick up a win over Rapid City Christian on Friday at the Class A state tournament. 

Ellie Lems led the Chargers with 12 points and five rebounds. Moriah Harrison added 10 points and nine rebounds. Maya Nelson and Brenna Beyke each scored nine points. 

Olivia Kieffer paced Rapid City Christian with 20 points and eight rebounds. Alexa Ham scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. 


Hamlin 57, Red Cloud 35

WATERTOWN — Kami Wadsworth and Addison Neuendorf combined to score 36 points to power Hamlin into its third straight Class A state championship game. 

Wadsworth finished with 23 points, while Neuendorf added 13 points, five rebounds and four 3-pointers. Marissa Bawdon had nine points. Brooklyn Brandriet and Ally Abraham scored six points apiece. Abraham had five assists. 

Red Cloud’s Ashlan Blount recorded 14 points, while Lolo Carlow scored nine points. Kennedy Fridia posted eight points. 

 

Wagner 63, Sisseton 45

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double figures as Wagner defeated Sisseton Friday to reach Saturday’s Class A girls state championship game. 

Ashlyn Koupal powered Wagner with 27 points and six rebounds. Macy Koupal pumped in 17 points and nine rebounds while Emma Yost finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds. 

Chloe Langager led Sisseton with 12 points and four rebounds. Krista Langager added 10 points and six rebounds while Emalee Nielsen added 10 points and seven rebounds.
