Red Cloud 76, Lakota Tech 55

WATERTOWN — Lolo Carlow and Maikole Carlow combined for 44 points as Red Cloud pulled away in the second half for a win over Lakota Tech at the Class A state tournament Thursday. 

Lolo Carlow led the Crusaders with 21 points, three rebounds and two steals. Maikole Carlow finished with 21 points and two rebounds. Ashlan Carlow-Blount and Kennedy Fridia each scored eight points for Red Cloud. 

Shania Ferguson paced Lakota Tech with 21 points. Melina Shangreaux chipped in with 16 points and five rebounds.

Hamlin 42, Flandreau 32

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double figures as the Hamlin girls defeated Flandreau in the first round of the Class A state tournament Thursday. 

Kami Wadsworth powered Hamlin with 18 points and five rebounds. Addison Neuendorf added 12 points and four rebounds while Marissa Bawdon chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds. Ally Abraham scored two points but hauled down nine rebounds for Hamlin. 

Claire Sheppard led Flandreau with eight points and six rebounds. Lily Klein added seven points and five rebounds while Sadie Iott had seven points and three rebounds. 


Sisseton 58, Sioux Falls Christian 47

WATERTOWN — Sisseton defeated Sioux Falls Christian in Class A girls basketball action on Thursday. 

Sisseton’s Emmalee Nielsen recorded 17 points and six rebounds. Krista Langager added 12 points and five rebounds. Tara Nelson posted 10 points, while Chloe Langager had nine points and six rebounds. Hannah Leverson scored seven points. 

Sioux Falls Christian’s Ellie Lems posted 20 points and seven rebounds. Maya Nelson netted 10 points, while Moriah Harrison finished with seven points. Peyton Poppema had four points and 10 boards.

 

Wagner 67, Rapid City Christian 47

WATERTOWN — Wagner defeated Rapid City Christian in Class A girls basketball action on Thursday.
