West Central’s Karson Vessells holds down the No. 1 spot in the updated South Dakota Class A wrestling rankings, according to Dakota Grappler. 

A junior, Vessells is ranked No. 1 in the 126-pound division and claimed the Madison Invitational title earlier this season. Vessells, who placed third in the 126-pound class last season, is ahead of Watertown’s Brody Randall and Brandon Valley’s Beckett Rehorst in the rankings. 

Sturgis continues to hold down the No. 1 spot in the rankings, with a projected point total of 229. Pierre (146) and Watertown (145) are ranked second and third, respectively.
