Class AA Boys Roundup - Sioux Falls Roosevelt outlasts Harrisburg to claim third-place finish

Sioux Falls Roosevelt 76, Harrisburg 72

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls Roosevelt took third place in the Class AA state boys basketball tournament on Saturday.

Deondre Painter led the Rough Riders with 18 points and four rebounds, Justin Bilal added 16 points and three boards, Memphis Bylander totaled 15 points and six boards while Bryson Skogsberg collected 14 points and five boards in the win.

For Harrisburg, Cole Kooiker had 19 points, Crayton Jibben netted 18 points and three steals, Stellen Larson netted 15 points, a game-high 18 rebounds and three steals, Myles Nour had nine points while Bennett Jensen tallied seven points, four rebounds and four assists in the loss.


Watertown 64, Brandon Valley 60

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures to power Watertown a consolation championship at the Class AA boys basketball tournament Saturday.

Watertown’s Jack Mack finished with 18 points and six boards. Carter Buisker totaled 16 points and six rebounds. Kaden Decker totaled 13 points and Jackson McClemens had 12 points. 

For BV, Ayuel Deng finished with 28 points and seven rebounds. Lincoln McInerney totaled 14 points and Austin Dowd scored nine points. Brayden Knutson scored five points. 


Tea Area 63, O’Gorman 51

RAPID CITY — Gavin Shawd powered Tea Area to a seventh-place finish at the Class AA boys basketball tournament Saturday.

Shawd recorded 30 points and three 3-pointers. Grifin Wiebenga had 14 points and six rebounds. Mitch Grant totaled 10 points and eight boards. Blake Lundin had eight boards and four points.

For OG, Kamden Cisse totaled 20 points and eight rebounds. Jaxson Weeldreyer had 11 points and Mason Clark scored nine points.
