Pierre 51, Harrisburg 37

SIOUX FALLS — Reese Terwilliger and Ryann Barry combined for 29 points as the Pierre Governors defeated Harrisburg on Friday to earn a berth in Saturday’s Class AA championship game. 

Terwilliger led Pierre with 19 points and eight rebounds. Barry added ten points and three rebounds for the Governors. Ayvrie Kaiser scored eight points while Remington Price and Lennix Dupris each scored seven points. 

Abigail Flanagan led Harrisburg with 17 points while Makinley Lawreson chipped in with six points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 46, Sioux Falls Jefferson 43

SIOUX FALLS — Two players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls Washington advanced to the Class AA state championship game with a win over Sioux Falls Jefferson Friday. 

Brooklyn Harpe led the Warriors with 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Grace Peterson added 13 points and six rebounds for Washington. 

Jaidyn Dunn led Jefferson with 17 points, 16 rebounds and six blocks. Cierra Watkins finished with 14 points, six rebounds and five steals. 


Mitchell 48, Watertown 37

SIOUX FALLS — Sawyer Stoebner’s big game helped push Mitchell to a girls basketball win over Watertown at the Class AA state tournament on Friday. 

Stoebner powered Mitchell with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Allison Meyerink added eight points while Lauren Van Overschelde and Addie Siemsen each scored seven points. 

Jaida Young led Watertown with 14 points and four rebounds. Maddy Rhode added six points and four rebounds for the Arrows. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 56 , Rapid City Stevens 48

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures as Sioux Falls O’Gorman knocked off Rapid City Stevens on Friday at the Class AA state tournament. 

Kira Mentele led O’Gorman with 18 points, three rebounds and four blocked shots. Mahli Abdouch had a big night with 15 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals. Lucy Moore scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Knights. 

Isabell Higgins led Rapid City Stevens with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Macey Wathen and Taaliyah Porter each scored eight points for the Raiders.
