Castlewood 56, Lyman 28

ABERDEEN — Castlewood is back in the Class B boys basketball state championship after a semifinal win over Lyman on Friday.

Castlewood’s Kamden Keszler finished with 22 points, while Will Aderhold added 11 points and five boards. Brody Bass totaled 10 points. Tyson Manley had eight points and six boards.

For Lyman, Cole Kieffer had 10 points and seven rebounds. MJ Diehm recorded six points and five boards. Josiah Vaad added five points. 


Freeman 74, Wall 70

ABERDEEN — Four players scored in double figures to power Freeman to a Class B boys basketball tournament win on Friday.

Freeman’s David Walter finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Tayden Kerrigan added 14 points and nine rebounds. Tate Sorensen totaled 13 points and seven rebounds. Luke Peters had 10 points. Taylor Goodwin had six points.

For Wall, Teelan Kjerstad recorded 30 points and five 3-pointers. Emmet Dinger had 22 points, eight rebounds and six 3-pointers. Jace Mohr had 10 points. 


Aberdeen Christian 52, Viborg-Hurley 49

ABERDEEN — Luke Kaiser’s 26-point double-double powered Aberdeen Christian over Viborg-Hurley in the Class B state consolation semifinals on Friday.

Kaiser finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds in the win, Charles Eichler added eight points, Jett Johnson recorded six points while Loyall Smith-Wade and Dylan Hofer each had four points in the win.

For VH, Jake Austin had 20 points and five rebounds, Brady Schroedermeier added 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, five steals and two blocks while Braydyn Morrison collected 10 points in the loss.


De Smet 50, Sully Buttes 43

ABERDEEN — Grant Wilkinson powered De Smet to a Class B boys basketball tournament win on Friday. 

Grant Wilkinson’s 18-point double-double powered De Smet over Sully Buttes in the Class B state boys basketball consolation semifinals on Friday.

Wilkinson finished with 18 points, 16 rebounds, a steal and a block in the win, Coy Van Regenmorter added nine points, four rebounds and three assists, Noah Luethmers had eight points and three assists, Kolby Sinclair recorded eight points while Carter Wilkinson had seven points, eight rebounds and three assists in the win.

For SB, Wesley Wittler had 19 points, 11 rebounds and five steals, Easton Moore tallied 10 points and four rebounds while Jett Yackley added 10 points and three assists in the loss.
