Ethan 54, Corsica-Stickney 34

BROOKINGS — Ethan hit 14 3-pointers to blow past Corsica-Stickney at Friday’s Class B state girls basketball semifinal. Ethan will play Harding County in the Class B state championship Saturday at 6:45 p.m.

Marissa Storm led the Rustlers with 17 points, hitting 5-of-11 shots from beyond the arc, with five rebounds, four assists and three steals, Taziah Hawkins added 15 points on five more 3-pointers with two steals while Macie Dean collected 10 points and two assists in the win.

For CS, Sophie DeLange had 19 points and three rebounds, hitting 5-of-10 3-point shots, Haydnn Johnson had six points and seven rebounds while Braylee Bordewyk added six points and three boards in the loss.


Harding County 58, Parkston 42

BROOKINGS — A balanced scoring attack powered Harding County over Parkston, advancing to the Class B state title game. The Ranchers will take on Parkston in the Class B state championship Saturday at 6:45 p.m.

Kaylen Padden led the Ranchers with 13 points, four rebounds and two steals, Carson Page added 10 points and two blocks, Maci Wammen added eight points and two assists, Macey Wendt tallied six points, three rebounds and two steals, Raelee Hunsucker had six points and three boards, Sattyn Wilson had six points and two boards, Brayden Padded had five points and seven rebounds while Kamry Padded netted four points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in the win.

For Parkston, Keeara Oakley led the Trojans with 17 points, three rebounds and two steals, Berkley Ziebart added 15 points, seven rebounds and two steals while Morgan Maxwell had eight points and three rebounds in the loss.


Lyman 53, Colman-Egan 48

BROOKINGS — Mak and Jordyn Scott each posted double-doubles as Lyman knocked off Colman-Egan at Friday’s Class B state consolation semifinals. The Raiders will play Bennett County in the consolation championship at 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

Mak Scott led Lyman with 21 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks, Jordyn Scott added 10 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals, Brooke Montgomery tallied 10 points, four steals, two blocks and three assists while Bree Smart collected eight points and three assists in the win.

For CE, Brynlee Landis led with 19 points, nine rebounds, five steals and four assists, Jolie Flatten added 18 points and three rebounds while Mya Rieff tallied seven points and three boards in the loss.


Bennett County 77, Centerville 68 

BROOKINGS — Peyson O’Neill powered Bennett County to a girls basketball win over Centerville in the Class B state consolation semifinals Friday. The Warriors will face Lyman Saturday at 12:45 p.m. in the consolation championship.

O’Neill led BC with 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal, Harley Harris added 13 points, three rebounds and two assists, Reagan O’Neill added 12 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals, Madi Waln tallied 10 points and seven boards while Jade O’Neill collected eight points in the win.

For Centerville, Izzie Eide led with 20 points and two steals, Brea Austin added 19 points, five rebounds and four assists, Peyton Hansen totaled 17 points and seven boards, Lydia Austin netted seven points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals while Tessa Eide had five points and three assists in the loss.
