Parkston 50, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 18

PARKSTON -- Abby Hohn and Brielle Bruening combined for 29 points in Parkston’s girls basketball win over Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Tuesday.

Hohn finished with 17 points, four rebounds and two steals. Bruening added 12 points and two steals. Allison Ziebart finished with nine points and eight boards. Faith Oakley collected 12 rebounds. 

TDA’s Megan Reiner recorded 10 points and seven rebounds.

Corsica-Stickney 74, Avon 38

CORSICA -- Avery Broughton logged a double-double and Rachel Gerlach recorded her 1,000th career point in Corsica-Stickney’s girls basketball win over Avon on Tuesday.

Broughton finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots. Gerlach added 12 points and nine rebounds. Morgan Clites had 11 points, seven steals and six assists. Payton DeLange and Casey Tolsma had nine and six points, respectively. 

Avon’s Tiffany Pelton finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. McKenna Kocmich had eight points and four rebounds. Samantha Brodeen added seven points and four rebounds. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 49, Ethan 39

NEW HOLLAND -- Three players scored in double figures to pace Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a girls basketball win over Class B No. 4 Ethan on Tuesday.

Lexie VanderPol led ACDC with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Allison Muckey and Josie Brouwer scored 14 points apiece. Brouwer had eight rebounds and Muckey added five boards. Isabella Brouwer dished out six assists and Josie Brouwer had four steals. 

Ethan’s Ava Lingemann recorded 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. Hannah Bartscher scored nine points and Bella Nesheim collected seven rebounds. 


Flandreau 57, Hamlin 56 (OT)

FLANDREAU -- Class A No. 4 Flandreau edged Class A No. 2 Hamlin in girls basketball action on Tuesday. 

Flandreau’s Claire Sheppard led the way with 30 points and seven rebounds. Maria Parsley posted 11 points and six rebounds. Lizzie Pavlis grabbed 11 boards. 

Hamlin’s Kami Wadsworth netted 22 points and Ally Abraham scored 12 points. 

 

Winner 64, Stanley County 24

WINNER -- Winner jumped out to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and defeated Stanley County in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Bella Swedlund led the Warriors with 28 points and three rebounds. Kelsey Sachtjen recorded eight points and eight rebounds. Karlee Brozik had seven points and five rebounds. Ava Craven posted six points and eight rebounds. Josey Kludt and Keelie Kuil had five points apiece. 

Stanley County’s Jordyn Sosa had eight points and eight rebounds. Taylee Stroup posted six points and three rebounds. 

 

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 60, Hitchcock-Tulare 41

WOONSOCKET -- Three players scored in double figures in Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s girls basketball win over Hitchcock-Tulare on Tuesday.

Trinity Boschee finished with 16 points and Trista White had 15 points. Liz Boschee added 13 points, nine rebounds and five steals. Dayton Easton had seven points. Brooke Doering collected 12 rebounds and four points. 

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Madison Hofer recorded 17 points and four rebounds, while Cambree Hoekman scored 12 points. Katelyn Schroeder scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds. 


Centerville 68, Freeman Academy/Marion 24

CENTERVILLE -- Three players scored in double figures to power Centerville to a girls basketball win over Freeman Academy/Marion on Tuesday. 

Keira Austin tossed in 21 points, while Thea Gust had 20 points and hit six 3-pointers. Gust added four assists, three steals and three rebounds. Lillie Eide added 15 points, four assists, four steals and three rebounds. Mackenzie Meyer added eight points, five rebounds and four assists. 

FAM’s Jada Koerner finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Alivea Weber finished with eight points and six rebounds. Estelle Waltner grabbed five rebounds. 


Tri-Valley 47, Madison 16

MADISON -- Three players scored in double figures to pace Tri-Valley to a girls basketball win over Madison on Tuesday.

Paige Jewett led the way with 16 points, while Lauren Grinde had 14 points, six steals and four rebounds. Ava Pearson posted 11 points and four boards. Stephanie Buchmann added five points, five rebounds and three steals. 

Madison’s Zoey Gerry recorded 11 points and four rebounds. 


North Central 35, Ipswich 30

IPSWICH -- North Central outscored Ipswich 9-6 in the fourth quarter to pick up a girls basketball victory on Tuesday. 

North Central’s Brittney Frickson had 11 points, eight rebounds and six steals. Amree Vander Vorst finished with six points and 11 rebounds. Jenisa Jacobs added eight points and five steals. 

Ipswich’s Quincy Olivier had six points and 13 rebounds. Katie Bierman recorded nine points and eight rebounds. Gabby Wald added six points and six rebounds, while Ashlyn Weig had five points. 


Scotland 36, Menno 21

MENNO -- Delanie VanDriel and Audrey Sayler combined for 24 points to pace Scotland to a girls basketball win over Menno on Tuesday.

VanDriel finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Sayler added 11 points and eight rebounds. Jenna Vitek had eight points and six rebounds. Martina DeBoer had eight rebounds. 

Menno’s Grace Nusz had six points and four rebounds. Ashton Massey added five points, while Paityn Huber had five rebounds and four points. 


Garretson 61, Canton 47

GARRETSON -- Garretson topped Canton in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Jordyn Williams finished with 15 points. Jaelyn Benson, Logan Bly and Sydney Olson scored nine points apiece. Bly added nine rebounds and two blocked shots. Lily Ranschau added seven points and Anna Jones had four steals. 

Canton’s Amanda Lease scored 13 points and Cadence Abbas added seven points. 


Viborg-Hurley 54, Bridgewater-Emery 35

HURLEY -- Three players scored in double figures to power Bridgewater-Emery to a girls basketball win over Bridgewater-Emery on Tuesday.

Denae Mach finished with 19 points and three rebounds. Coral Mason recorded 11 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Delana Mach had 11 points and four rebounds. Shelby Lyons and Estelle Lee had five points apiece, while Lee grabbed seven rebounds. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Julia Weber finished with 12 points and Taylor Schallenkamp scored eight points. 


Castlewood 56, Elkton-Lake Benton 48

ELKTON -- Mackenzie Everson and Maddie Horn combined for 42 points to pace Castlewood to a girls basketball win over Elkton-Lake Benton on Tuesday.

Everson scored 22 points and Horn added 20 points. Ella Hunter and Gracie Haug had five points apiece. 

ELB’s Tevan Erickson and Kylie Ramlo scored 10 points apiece. Rachael Krog scored nine points and Kailyn Drietz finished with eight points. Aubrey Schindler scored seven points. 


Howard 58, Chester Area 47

HOWARD -- Abby Aslesen and Kate Conner combined for 36 points and 29 rebounds to power Howard to a girls basketball win over Chester Area on Tuesday.

Aslesen had 22 points, 15 rebounds and four assists. Connor finished with 14 points and 14 boards. Rylee Rudebusch had nine points and seven rebounds. Trinity Palmquist and Jayden Jaynes had five points and four rebounds apiece. Palmquist handed out four assists. 

Chester Area’s Emery Larson finished with 20 points, while Kaylor Geraets had 13 points and seven rebounds. Emmerson Eppard logged 10 points and four rebounds. 


Sisseton 63, Milbank 50

MILBANK -- Three players scored in double figures to lift Sisseton to a girls basketball win over Milbank on Tuesday.

Hannah Leverson had 11 points and six assists for Sisseton. Emmalee Nelson and Tara Nelson scored 10 points apiece. Nelson dished out five assists. Veronica Rice tossed in eight points, while Rylie Huff and Ruby Rice had six points apiece. 

Milbank’s Maurina Street finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Isabella Anderson added 10 points and six assists. Claire Snaza logged five points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 75, Yankton 36

SIOUX FALLS -- Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Washington rolled to a girls basketball win over Yankton on Tuesday.

Alexus Motley led the Warriors with 16 points, while Brooklyn Harpe added 13 points and seven rebounds. Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda had 12 points and four rebounds. Hannah Harpe scored five points. 

Yankton’s Claire Tereshinski finished with nine points. Jordynn Salvatori, Macy Drotzmann and Katherine Beeman scored six points apiece. 


Brandon Valley 55, Sioux Falls Jefferson 49

BRANDON -- Class AA No. 2 Brandon Valley edged Sioux Falls Jefferson in a girls basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Hilary Behrens finished with 18 points and Tessa Bowar scored 12 points. Sidney Thue tossed in eight points and Kylie Foss scored seven points. Taylor Stemen finished with five points. 

Jefferson’s Cierra Watkins had 17 points and Taliyah Hayes finished with 12 points. Ella Silvernail scored 10 points. 


Dakota Valley 59, Beresford 38

BERESFORD -- Dakota Valley topped Beresford in a girls basketball contest on Tuesday.

Rylee Rosenquist led Dakota Valley with 19 points and nine assists. Brooke Carlson finished with 12 points. 

Beresford’s Ady Hansen had 15 points. 


Deubrook Area 50, Deuel 15

TORONTO -- Deubrook Area picked up a girls basketball win over Deuel on Tuesday.

Ellie Kroenig finished with 20 points and six steals. Carley Landmark had six points and five rebounds. Emma Vandermeer and Skyla Petersen had five points apiece. 

Deuel’s Taylor Bauman had seven points and four rebounds. Haley Winter recorded six points. 


Colman-Egan 63, Canistota 30

CANISTOTA -- Three players scored 18 points apiece for Colman-Egan in a girls basketball win over Canistota.

Josie Mousel, Mackenzie Hemmer and Lanie Mousel scored 18 points apiece in the win. Mousel added seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. Hemmer had seven rebounds, three steals and three assists. 

Canistota’s Natalie Becker had 11 points and five rebounds. Kayla Papendick posted 10 points. 


Boys basketball 

De Smet 60, Clark/Willow Lake 57 

WILLOW LAKE -- Kalen Garry drilled two 3-pointers in the final eight seconds, including a buzzer-beater to lift Class B No. 1 De Smet to a boys basketball win over Clark/Willow Lake on Tuesday.

Garry led the Bulldogs with 32 points, eight rebounds and six 3-pointers. Damon Wilkinson added 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots. Tory Holland finished with seven points and seven rebounds. Blake Van Regenmorter had five points and four rebounds. Rett Osthus logged three points, three assists, seven rebounds and a late steal to set up Garry’s game-winning 3-pointer. 

CWL’s Tyler O’Neill finished with 23 points, six rebounds and four 3-pointers. Kaplan Felberg had 13 points and five rebounds. Brady Jordan posted seven points, while Noah Boykin added six points and four rebounds. Trey Huber had six points and four rebounds. 


Hanson 48, McCook Central/Montrose 40

ALEXANDRIA -- Ethan Cheeseman recorded a double-double in Hanson’s boys basketball win over McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday.

Cheeseman finished with 16 points and 15 boards, while Noah Price added 17 points. 

MCM’s Boston Katzer scored 17 points. Micah Van Ruler added nine points and eight rebounds. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 69, Castlewood 67 (OT) 

ELKTON -- Elkton-Lake Benton edged Castlewood in an overtime boys basketball thriller on Tuesday.

ELB’s Aiden Erickson finished with 21 points, four steals and four assists. Ryan Krog added 17 points, 13 rebounds and four steals. Miles Harming logged 15 points and four steals. Logan Kuehl had nine points.

Castlewood’s Carson Kirwin and Lane Tvedt had 16 points apiece. Tristan Nielsen scored 15 points. 


Winner 55, Stanley County 36

WINNER -- Winner bolted out to a 33-10 halftime lead and topped Stanley County in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday.

Blake Volmer finished with 21 points and eight rebounds. Ethan Bartels recorded 11 points and four rebounds. Elijah Peterson posted nine points and five rebounds. Slade Cournoyer had six points, five rebounds and five assists. 

Stanley County’s Lathan Prince scored 14 points and Cormac Duffy added 12 points. Dawson Tutzie had six points and four assists. Gavin Irving grabbed seven rebounds and had four steals. 


Wolsey-Wessington 61, Lake Preston 24

LAKE PRESTON -- Wolsey-Wessington downed Lake Preston in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Carson Zomer finished with 22 points and Payson Gohn scored 13 points. Tate French added 11 points and Landon Cleveland netted six points. Blaze Herdman added five points.

Lake Preston’s Josh McMasters finished with 10 points. 

 

Howard 58, Chester Area 41

HOWARD -- Howard outscored Chester Area 20-2 in the fourth quarter to secure a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Brayden Hinker led the Tigers with 20 points and three rebounds. Jace Sifore added 14 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four steals. Kolt Koepsell had seven points and four rebounds, while Ryder Erickson added six points, four assists and three steals. Luke Koepsell finished with five points and three rebounds. 

Chester Area's Stratton Eppard and Ashton Olivier scored 11 points apiece. Eppard added four assists and five rebounds. Jovi Wolf added nine points and four boards. Ryan Benson had four steals and three points. 


Viborg-Hurley 37, Bridgewater-Emery 34

HURLEY -- Class B No. 4 Viborg-Hurley edged Bridgewater-Emery in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Blake Schroedermeier finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. 

Sutton Arend led the Huskies with 14 points and eight rebounds. Sam Hofer had seven points. 


Freeman Academy/Marion 56, Centerville 30

CENTERVILLE -- Freeman Academy/Marion picked up a boys basketball win over Centerville on Tuesday.

Quincy Blue finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Matthew Hagen added 14 points, while Thalen Schroeder had nine points and eight rebounds. 

Centerville’s Logan Bobzin scored nine points, while Leny Ciprian and Malachi Brouwer scored five points apiece. Brouwer grabbed seven rebounds and Alec Austin had six rebounds. 


Ipswich 56, North Central 24

IPSWICH -- Three players scored 10 points apiece to pace Ipswich to a boys basketball win over North Central on Tuesday. 

Ian Beyers, Trevor Beyers and Ty Kadlec scored 10 points apiece in the win. Kadlec added four rebounds and four assists. Ian Beyers added six steals. Taylor Thorson finished with eight points, six rebounds and three steals. Carson Gohl had seven points. 

North Central’s Cole Bukaske finished with nine points, while Bryce Beitelspacher had five points and five rebounds. 


Hamlin 60, Flandreau 56

FLANDREAU -- Hamlin outlasted Flandreau in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday.

Tyson Stevenson led Hamlin with 13 points and Dawson Noem scored 12 points.

Flandreau’s Tash Lunday had 22 points and 15 rebounds. Chase LeBrun had 10 points, while Liam Streitz and Alex Anderson scored six points apiece. 


Madison 56, Tri-Valley 38

MADISON -- Aiden Jensen posted a double-double to power Madison to a boys basketball win over Tri-Valley on Tuesday.

Jensen finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Nate Ricke added 12 points, six assists and four rebounds. Trey Smith finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Cody Klein scored six points. 

Tri-Valley’s Cory McDonald scored 14 points, while Lance DeWitt had 11 points and five rebounds. Noah Haynes finished with six points and four rebounds. 


Ethan 69, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 33

NEW HOLLAND -- Three players scored in double figures to pace Ethan to a boys basketball win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Tuesday.

Jay Storm finished with 18 points and five rebounds. Kaden Klumb posted 15 points, while Riley Endres had 12 points. 

ACDC’s Rizon Clark had nine points and six rebounds. Cameron Sybesma had eight points and nine rebounds. Mason Olson chipped in with six points. 


West Central 72, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 58

HARTFORD -- Class A No. 4 West Central topped Mount Vernon/Plankinton in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday.

Grafton Stroup finished with 26 points and five rebounds. Dillon Jackson had 13 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals. Jacob Krempges had 10 points and four rebounds. Mubarak Ibrhaim scored eight points and Dylan Stromer grabbed four rebounds. 

MVP’s Reed Rus had 15 points and Jordan Stoltz added 13 points. 


Dakota Valley 61, Beresford 14

BERESFORD -- Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley rolled to a boys basketball win over Beresford on Tuesday. 

Isaac Bruns led the way with 17 points. Brayden Major had 11 points and Randy Rosenquist scored 10 points. 


Milbank 62, Sisseton 38

MILBANK -- Bennett Schwenn and Garrett Mertens combined for 33 points to pace Milbank to a boys basketball win over Sisseton on Tuesday.

Schwenn finished with 22 points and Mertens had 11 points. Mertens had five rebounds. Stevie Ash had eight points, while Wylie Mursu had six points and five rebounds. Jaxson Wildung and Aiden Ludvigson had five points apiece. 

Sisseton’s Riley Brave Bull finished with 11 points. Jairus Chanku and Austin Kohl scored five points apiece. Chanku added five boards. 


Northwestern 50, Wilmot 48

MELLETTE -- Northwestern edged Wilmot in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday.

Quintin Fischbach finished with 19 points, while Jude Ortmeier had 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Samuel Groft finished with five points and five rebounds. Christopher Toennies had four points, four rebounds and six assists.

Wilmot’s Trey Jurgens finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. Parker Steege had 14 points, while Ben Kasuske had five points and four assists. Brayden Ebben added seven points and seven assists. 


Brookings 55, Huron 49

HURON -- Brookings outlasted Huron in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Jack Even led the Bobcats with 16 points and Zach Moe scored 11 points. Jett Leddy finished with nine points, while Jake Ammann scored eight points. Sam Hardin and Brock Longville had five points apiece, while Longville grabbed six boards. 

Huron’s Reilyn Zavesky finished with 16 points and Brandon Decker added 13 points. Cade McNeil finished with five points. 


Harrisburg 71, Sioux Falls Lincoln 63

SIOUX FALLS -- Harrisburg topped Class AA No. 5 Sioux Falls Lincoln in boys basketball action on Tuesday. 

Harrisburg’s Ethan Determan scored 28 points and Jacoby Mehrman netted 19 points.

Sioux Falls Lincoln’s J.T. Rock tossed in 20 points, while Khalil Cisse and Elliot Whitney scored 12 points apiece. 


Rapid City Stevens 57, Rapid City Central 38

RAPID CITY -- Three players scored in double figures to power Rapid City Stevens to a boys basketball win over rival Rapid City Central on Tuesday. 

Jaden Haefs led the way with 14 points and three rebounds. Nate Kindred added 13 points and six rebounds. Charles Christensen had 10 points and eight rebounds. Drew Merchant finished with five points and six rebounds. Ben Goldy added four points and 10 rebounds. 

Central’s Cooper Totten, Kurtis Hafer and Shun-Zi White Woman had eight points apiece. Totten added six rebounds.
