Faulkton Area 59, Florence-Henry 37

FLORENCE — Weston Senn and Korbin Stark combined for 30 points as Faulkton Area knocked off Florence-Henry in boys basketball action Friday.

Senn led the Trojans with 16 points while Stark had 14 points in the win. Spencer Melius, Henry Bossly and Landon Dikoff each had nine points in the win.

For FH, Carson Kelly had 15 points while Dawson Hlvacek netted 11 points in the loss.


Howard 59, McCook Central/Montrose 47

SALEM — Four players scored in double figures as Howard defeated McCook Central/Montrose in boys basketball action Friday.

Kolt Becker led the Tigers with 14 points, seven assists, six rebounds, five steals and two blocks, Brody Spader had 13 points, Owen Feldhaus totaled 11 points, Chas Shumaker collected 10 points while Caden Schwader had eight points, four rebounds and three steals in the win.

For MCM, Dawson Dorr had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four steals, Zane McCormick had 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks while Ben Wiebersick had 10 points, four rebounds and four assists in the loss.


Clark-Willow Lake 61, Milbank 38

WILLOW LAKE — Emmerson Larson and Chris Bevers combined for 34 points in Class A No. 3 Clark-Willow Lake’s win over Milbank in boys basketball action.

Larson led the Cyclones with 18 points and six rebounds, Bevers had 16 points, seven rebounds and four steals, Sully Felberg netted eight points, 11 rebounds and two blocks while Bo Begeman had seven points, five rebounds and four assists in the win.

For Milbank, Sam Rick had 14 points and six rebounds, Jeter Scoular had seven points while Lincoln Holscher totaled five points in the loss.


Elkton-Lake Benton 62, Iroquois-Lake Preston 51

ELKTON — Three players hit double figures in scoring for Elkton-Lake Benton in the Elks’ boys basketball win over Iroquois-Lake Preston Friday.

Joseph Nibbe led the Elks with 18 points, four rebounds and two steals, Eliot Erickson added 14 points, six rebounds, three steals and four assists, Colt Beck had 11 points while Ethan Wiskur netted six points in the win.

For ILP, Lucas Peskey had 12 points, Peyton Hope added 11 points, ben Curd collected eight points while Carter Arbeiter had six points in the loss.


Mobridge-Pollock 79, Timber Lake 73

MOBRIDGE — Five players hit double figures in Mobridge-Pollock’s big win over Timber Lake in boys basketball action Friday.

Kyson Good Shield led the Tigers with 17 points, Kale Knudson added 15 points, Shooter Frederick netted 14 points, Easton Eisemann had 11 points, Jesse Schneider tallied 12 points while Trueth Crow Ghost had seven points in the win.

For TL, Kanton Hunt had 29 points, Braden Lawrence tallied 10 points while Treyden Beer, Jackson Bigger and Pete Maher each had eight points in the loss.


Wolsey-Wessington 67, Highmore-Harrold 24

WOLSEY — Caleb Richmond’s 24 points powered Wolsey-Wessington past Highmore-Harrold in boys basketball action Friday.

Richmond finished with 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals, Sawyer Nelson added 12 points, six rebounds and two steals, Lars Tvedt had nine points, seven rebounds and four assists while Breydyn Skipper had seven points in the win.

HH’s Brooks McPeak netted 11 points while Jayden Erfman totaled eight points in the loss.


Stuart (Neb.) 71, Burke 69

BURKE — Burke fell in boys basketball action Friday night.

Brody Indahl led the Cougars with 29 points, including eight three-pointers, four rebounds, five assists and three steals, Bryson Indahl had 14 points while Eli Bartling netted 11 points in the loss.


Viborg-Hurley 67, Irene-Wakonda 37

HURLEY — Brady Schroedermeier collected 21 points in Class B No. 4 Viborg-Hurley downed Irene-Wakonda in boys basketball action Friday.

Schroedermeier finished with 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals, Jake Austin had 11 points and five rebounds while Braydyn Morrison totaled nine points and six rebounds in the win.

IW’s Brody Johnke had 11 points while Hayden Hansen netted nine points in the loss.


Dakota Valley 76, Canton 48

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Class A No. 0 Dakota Valley defeated Canton in boys basketball action Friday.

Tatum Sorensen led with 28 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals, Cadin Painter had 12 points and nine rebounds, Payton Sorensen had 12 points and three assists while Luke Anema recorded 11 points, three rebounds and three assists in the win.

For Canton, Noah Beatty had 15 points and four assists, Alex Rhead collected eight points while Ryder Thompson netted seven points in the loss.


Dell Rapids St. Mary 65, Colman-Egan 55

COLMAN — Trimmier Hanson and Peyton Lamb combined for 44 points as Class B No. 3 Dell Rapids St. Mary took care of Colman-Egan in boys basketball action Friday.

Hanson tallied 23 points, Lamb had 21 points while Joe Trumbauer had nine points in the win.

For CE, Caden Zwart had 21 points while Julian Allen added 17 points in the loss.


James Valley Christian 69, Sunshine Bible Academy 19

MILLER — James Valley Christian defeated Sunshine Bible Academy in boys basketball action Friday.

JVC’s stats were not reported.

For SBA, Avery Hall had five points while Henrik Wipf and Jonah Pribyl each had four points in the loss.


Mitchell 66, Rapid City Stevens 48

MITCHELL — Colton Smith’s 27-point double-double lifted Class AA No. 3 Mitchell over Rapid City Stevens in boys basketball action Friday.

Smith finished with 27 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and four steals, Owen Raml had 12 points and seven rebounds, Collin Weier had 12 points and seven boards while Kendan Skinner collected eight points in the win.

For Stevens, Bridger Kim had 11 points and four rebounds while Jace Gingras had 10 points and four rebounds while Lucas Marcus and Drayson Paulson each had six points in the loss.


Dec. 19 Girls Basketball Roundup

McCook Central-Montrose 51, Howard 20

SALEM — Cami McGuire and Mya Morrison combined for 27 points in McCook Central/Montrose’s girls basketball win over Howard Friday.

McGuire led the Cougars with 15 points, four rebounds and five steals, Morrison added 12 points and three steals while Natalie Lueth added six points in the win.

For Howard, Dakota Spader had seven points and two steals while Brooklyn Becker had four points in the loss.


Sunshine Bible Academy 37, James Valley Christian 34

MILLER — Ciera Mickelson’s double-double guided Sunshine Bible Academy past James Valley Christian in girls basketball action Friday.

Mickelson recorded 16 points and 13 rebounds, Breanna Thieman added eight points and five rebounds, while Soleil Mickelson collected five points in the win.

JVC’s stats were not reported.


Ipswich 57, Langford Area 27

IPSWICH — Gabby Wald and Marley Guthmiller powered Ipswich to a girls basketball victory over Langford Area Friday.

Wald had 17 points and three steals, Guthmiller netted 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals, Brianna Geditz netted five points and five assists, Tristan Geditz had eight points, nine rebounds and four steals while Jalyssa Hutson had six points and four rebounds in the win.

LA’s Paytyn Marlow had 12 points in the loss.


Burke 42, Stuart (Neb.) 40

BURKE — Burke defeated Stuart in girls basketball action Friday.

Emmy Spencer led the Cougars with eight points, five rebounds and four steals, Emmie Hausmann had seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals, Kyrie Matucha had six points while Taylor Zeisler netted five rebounds in the win.


Clark-Willow Lake 61, Milbank 42

WILLOW LAKE — A balanced scoring attack powered Clark-Willow Lake to a girls basketball victory over Milbank Friday.

Shelby Begeman had 14 points for the Cyclones, Kamryn Nesheim had 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals, Johanna Vandersnick netted 12 points, four assists and three steals, Jenny Bevers had nine points, eight rebounds and seven steals while Brynn Roehrich had eight points and four rebounds in the win.

For Milbank, Belle Paui had 20 points and seven rebounds, Avery Schuneman netted 14 points, five assists an four rebounds while Susie Schuneman had six points in the loss.


North Central 51, South Border (N.D.) 24

EUREKA — A balanced scoring attack powered North Central to a girls basketball victory Friday.

Amree VanderVorst led with 14 points, Ella Batie added nine points, 11 rebounds and four steals, Alaina Dosch and Tylee VanderVorst each had seven points, while Lindsey Geier had six points and five rebounds in the win.


Dakota Valley  67, Canton 45

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Bella Stokes and Aubree Worden combined for 50 points as Class A No. 5 Dakota Valley upended Canton in girls basketball action Friday.

Stokes netted 29 points and four steals in the win while Aubree Worden added 21 points, 15 rebounds and four steals.

Canton's Mya Anderson had 21 points and seven rebounds while Jordan Rhead added 11 points in the loss.


Irene-Wakona 40, Viborg-Hurley 29

HURLEY — Emily Oien powered Irene-Wakonda to a girls basketball victory over Viborg-Hurley in girls basketball action Friday.

Oien led with 18 points and five rebounds, Julia Sees had eight points, eight rebounds and three steals while Maryn Lyngstad had six points in the win.

For VH, Tatum Lyons had 11 points while Olivia Hanson and Ava Marts had six points in the loss.
