Chester 58, Colman-Egan 35

CHESTER — Emmerson Eppard and Katelyn Schut combined for 40 points as Class B No. 7 Chester knocked off Class B No. 3 Colman-Egan.

Eppard led the Flyers with 23 points while Schut added 17 points. Jacy Wolf collected 12 points, six assists and four steals while Kaitlyn Hilbelink brought down seven boards in the win.

For CE, Brynlee Landis tallied 21 points while Jolie Flatten and Quinn Meyer each added five points in the loss.


Hamlin 53, Clark/Willow Lake 48

CLARK — Class A No. 2 Hamlin clipped Class A No. 7 Clark/Willow Lake for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf finished with 23 points. Issie Steffensen totaled 15 points. Addie Jensen recorded 11 points. 

For CWL, Shelby Begeman scored 16 points. Kamryn Nesheim and Brynn Roehrich totaled eight points apiece. Johanna Vandersnick and Jenny Bevers had five points apiece. 


Lyman 57, Jones County 34

MURDO — Three players scored in double figures to power Class B No. 1 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Lyman’s Mak Scott totaled 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Jordyn Scott added 18 points and six rebounds. Bree Smart tallied 10 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Kenzie Wagner had six points, three rebounds and three assists. 

Jones County stats were not reported. 


Parkston 44, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 31

MOUNT VERNON — Keeara Oakley and Berkley Ziebart powered Class B No. 2 Parkston to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Oakley finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Ziebart added 13 points and four rebounds. 

For MVP, Taryn Hegg scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds. Madalynn Lorang and Layce Bruns scored seven points apiece.


Bridgewater-Emery 51, Hanson 36

ALEXANDRIA — Oakley Weber’s 21-point game guided Bridgewater-Emery over Hanson in girls basketball action Thursday.

Weber finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, Macie Weber added 10 points, six rebounds and five assists while Lily Hilton added 10 points in the win.

For Hanson, Hannah Easton tallied nine points and 10 rebounds while Ava Doyle collected seven points in the loss.


Sioux Valley 64, Garretson 28

VOLGA — Three players scored in double figures as Class A No. 6 Sioux Valley defeated Garretson in girls basketball action Thursday.

Talya Vincent led the Cossacks with 16 points, hitting four 3-pointers, with eight assists, four rebounds and two assists, Kailey Cradduck totaled 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks, Liberty Trygstad netted 10 points and and two assists while Amari Ward tallied eight points, four assists and two steals in the win.

For Garretson, Harper Andera totaled 14 points, five rebounds and two steals, Alyssa Olson added six points while Emma Wolf collected four points and four rebounds in the loss.


Dupree 62, Newell 60

NEWELL — Dupree clipped Newell in girls basketball action on Thursday.

Dupree’s Maddlynn Red Bear finished with 21 points, while Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk had 19 points. Karyn Diver added 14 points. Breanna Domingo scored eight points. 

For Newell, Rachel Stranberg and Kendra Johnson finished with 16 points apiece. Evelyn Ahart had 10 points and Sam High scored seven points. Kaitlyn Shaykett had five points.


Scotland-Menno 33, Parker-Marion 31

MENNO — Scotland-Menno clipped Parker-Marion in girls basketball action on Thursday.

SM’s Lexie McNinch scored eight points, while Kailin Odens and Emmalyn Heckenliable scored seven points apiece.

For PM, Karley Luke scored 11 points and Emma Tuschen added nine points.


Castlewood 52, Estelline-Hendricks 26

CASTLEWOOD — Ava Ruml’s 15-point double-double guided Castlewood over Estelline-Hendricks in girls basketball action Thursday.

Ruml finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks, Cassidy Kirwan and Cydni Kudrna each had eight points, Sophia Kudrna and Kayla Goens each added six points while Claire Horn totaled four points in the win.

For EH, Cambry Bury, Presley Bury and Elyse Wegner each had five points, Leandra Harms totaled nine points, Halle IntVeld added eight boards while Presly Bury collected seven rebounds in the loss.


McCook Central-Montrose 66, Madison 38

SALEM — Ella DeKnikker and Mandi Schock powered McCook Central-Montrose to a girls basketball win over Madison Thursday.

DeKnikker finished with a game-high 19 points, four steals and three assists in the win, Schock added 14 points and six steals as well, Natalie Lueth tallied nine points, seven assists and six rebounds while Cami McGuire, JoLynn Deters and Brooke Heumiller each had six points in the win.

For Madison, Madison Rummel had 14 points, Jaya Engels added nine points, four rebounds and three steals while Collins Nielsen recorded six points and three rebounds in the loss.


Deubrook Area 52, Elkton-Lake Benton 38

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures to power Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Mataya Gouws led the Dolphins with 21 points. Peyton Trooien added 12 points and Neely Gustad scored 11 points. 

For ELB, Charlie Thooft had 11 points. Payton Kuehl added eight points, while Jocelyn Prosch, Sydney DeVries and Adelynn Renkly scored five points apiece.


Aberdeen Roncalli 49, Deuel 22

CLEAR LAKE — Rylee Voeller’s 23-point game powered Class A No. 8 Aberdeen Roncalli to a girls basketball win over Deuel Thursday.

Voeller finished with 23 points, five rebounds and two steals while Kadince Glynn and Elyana Roach each had eight points in the win.

For Deuel, Graclyn Nielsen led with 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals while Camdyn Peterreins added seven points, five rebounds and three blocks in the loss.


Gregory 61, Burke 55

GREGORY — Three players scored in double figures to power Gregory to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Gregory’s Dani VanDerWerff totaled 21 points, while Asia VanDerWerff added 15 points. Gracie Biggins scored 12 points. 

For Burke, Emmie Hausmann scored 18 points and Brianna Davis had 10 points. Kyrie Matucha finished with eight points and Brylie Pistulka had six points. Emmy Spencer totaled five points. 


Waubay-Summit 53, Great Plains Lutheran 31

WATERTOWN — Addison Heinje and Peyton Rumpza led Class B No. 9 Waubay-Summit to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Heinje finished with 21 points and three 3-pointers. Rumpza added 12 points. Brynlee Amdahl and Kayce Burger scored five points apiece. 

For GPL, Katherine Prahl scored 14 points and Julia Prahl added 10 points. Kate Holmen scored six points. 


Faulkton Area 55, Sully Buttes 30

ONIDA — Presleigh Martinmaas and Brooklyn Mueller powered Faulkton Area to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Martinmaas finished with 20 points, six rebounds and three steals. Mueller added 16 points, 12 rebounds and eight steals. Claire Cotton and Brooklyn Kast scored five points apiece. Kast added five boards.

For Sully Buttes, Jadyn Jaeger totaled 11 points and seven rebounds. Scotlynn Kinney recorded eight points and nine rebounds. Ally Buhler had eight points. 


Lennox 66, Tri-Valley 22

LENNOX — Andie Peters and Olivia Niederbaumer powered Class A No. 3 Lennox to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Peters finished with 15 points on five 3-pointers. Niederbaumer added 13 points and four boards. Bergan Musser added nine points. 

For Tri-Valley, Rowyn Gacke had seven points and three rebounds. 


Ipswich 54, Gettysburg 33

IPSWICH — Marley Guthmiller and Gabby Wald powered Ipswich to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Guthmiller finished with 19 points, while had 16 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Tristan Geditz added eight points and 10 rebounds. Brianna Geditz totaled six points, five assists and four rebounds. 

For Gettysburg, Finlee Heien totaled 18 points and three rebounds. Emma Schlachter added six points, five steals and 14 rebounds.
