Wagner 67, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 49

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal and Shalayne Nagel combined for 45 points to pace Class A No. 3 Wagner to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Koupal recorded 24 points and nine rebounds. Nagel added 21 points, nine rebounds, six assists and five steals. Emma Yost added eight rebounds. 

Andes Central/Dakota Christian’s Allison Muckey recorded 13 points and five rebounds. Josie Brouwer added 10 points and three rebounds. Mahpiya Irving logged 10 points and four assists. Halle Olson blocked eight shots. 


Vermillion 62, Sioux Falls Christian 55

VERMILLION — Class A No. 2 Vermillion outlasted Sioux Falls Christian in girls basketball action on Thursday.

Vermillion’s Brooke Jensen finished with 16 points. Kasey Hanson added 13 points, while Brooklyn Voss and Leah Herbster scored 11 points apiece. 

Sioux Falls Christian Ellie Lems scored a game-high 28 points. 


Hanson 53, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 47

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson held off Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Hanson’s Eliza Oltmanns finished with 18 points, while Annalyse Weber added 10 points and six rebounds. Alyssa Moschell had seven points and seven rebounds. 

MVP’s Emilee Fox finished with 18 points, while Cally Faulhaber scored 12 points. Reagan Rus had 10 points. 


Viborg-Hurley 56, Bridgewater-Emery 27

EMERY — Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley coasted to a girls basketball win over Bridgewater-Emery on Thursday.

Coral Mason led the Cougars with 28 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Shelby Lyons added eight points, four steals and three rebounds. Estelle Lee posted seven points, rebounds and four assists. Charley Nelson and Aubree Schwartz scored five points apiece. 

Bridgewater-Emery’s Hayden Hofer scored 11 points. 


Lyman 56, Highmore-Harrold 46

HIGHMORE — Lyman held off Highmore-Harrold for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Lyman’s Mak Scott recorded 31 points, seven rebounds and seven steals. Skyler Volmer added 13 points, eight rebounds, four steals and four assists. Annie Brakke scored nine points. 

Highmore-Harrold’s Brooke Palmer posted 22 points, while Autumn Fallis scored seven points. Addison McDonnell added five points. 


Platte-Geddes 42, Scotland 40 

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes outlasted Scotland for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Regan Hoffman led Platte-Geddes with 10 points and eight rebounds. Hadley Hanson added 10 points, while Baleigh Nachtigal added eight points and six rebounds. Karly VanDerWerff had six rebounds. 

Scotland’s Trinity Bietz scored 10 points. 


Garretson 59, McCook Central/Montrose 47 

GARRETSON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Garretson to a girls basketball win over McCook Central/Montrose on Thursday.

Garretson’s Jordyn Williams finished with 16 points, while Sydney Olson added 11 points. Adi Fink scored 10 points. 

MCM’s Abby Wagner and Michaela McCormick scored 15 points apiece. 


Centerville 65, Marty 33 

CENTERVILLE — Centerville picked up a girls basketball win over Marty on Thursday. 

Thea Gust recorded 23 points and five assists. MaKayla Heesch and Bailey Hansen recorded 11 points apiece, while Hansen had 11 rebounds. Heesch added five boards. Lillie Eide posted eight points and eight rebounds. 

Marty’s Genesis Patterson scored 10 points. 


Faulkton Area 48, Sunshine Bible Academy 28 

MILLER — Faulkton Area picked up a 20-point girls basketball win over Sunshine Bible Academy on Thursday. 

Faulkton Area’s Addison Melius recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kelli Stoecker added nine points and five rebounds. Ashly Senn recorded eight points, while Gabby Kast had five points. 

SBA’s Sadie Konechne and Abby Hinman scored eight points apiece. Lydia Lo and Betra Amare had six points apiece. 


Northwestern 47, Aberdeen Christian 33

MELLETTE — Northwestern pulled away from Aberdeen Christian for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Ella Haven logged 15 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Ella Boekelheide added 10 points and five rebounds. Ashley Haven recorded five points and 11 rebounds. Adriana Ratigan finished with eight points and eight rebounds. Josie Sparling scored six points. 

Aberdeen Christian’s Sophia Fogarty had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists. Chloe Holt added 10 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Chloe Bosma added nine points and nine rebounds. 


Miller 62, Ipswich 21

IPSWICH — Miller used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a girls basketball win over Ipswich on Thursday. 

Morgan Kolda recorded 17 points, four assists and three 3-pointers. Jaden Werdel added nine points and seven rebounds. Tyra Gates logged six points, five assists and four rebounds. Ally Mullaney and Tricia Lammers scored seven points apiece. Kate Lichty scored five points. 

Ipswich’s Gabby Wald logged eight points. 


Lennox 54, Baltic 36

LENNOX — Carli Kuyper and Dani Highum combined to score 29 points to pace Lennox to a girls basketball win over Baltic on Thursday.

Kuyper posted 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Highum added 13 points and five rebounds. 

Baltic’s Daynica Witzel scored 11 points. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 86, Iroquois/Lake Preston 46

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids St. Mary drilled a school-record 15 3-pointers en route to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Ella Griffin led the Cardinals with 27 points, while Whitney Warwick added 17 points. Madala Hanson added 15 points. 

Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Addison Moore tossed in 24 points. 


Dupree 42, McLaughlin 38 

MCLAUGHLIN — Dupree edged McLaughlin for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Dupree’s Daci Lends His Horse scored 18 points, while Rylin Rousseau added 14 points. 

McLaughlin’s Mari Jo Richards scored 15 points. Raegin Yellow Earrings and Anaya Mellette added seven points apiece. Taylor Scares the Hawk scored five points. 


Tri-Valley 54, Dell Rapids 44 

COLTON — Lauren Grinde and Stephanie Buchmann combined to score 38 points to pace Tri-Valley to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Grinde scored 26 points, while Buchmann logged 12 points. 

Dell Rapids’ Janne Miller scored 14 points. 


Dakota Valley 54, Elk Point-Jefferson 17

ELK POINT — Three players scored in double figures to pace Dakota Valley to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Melina Snoozy posted 16 points and four 3-pointers. Jorja Van Den Hul added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Emersen Mead logged 10 points and eight rebounds. Ella Reinfenrath scored six points. Addison Kleis and Sophie Tuttle scored five points apiece. 

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Josie Curry scored five points.
