Lyman 53, Faulkton Area 47 

PRESHO — Lyman built a 17-point lead and held off Faulkton Area for a Region 6B girls basketball win on Monday. 

Skyler Volmer and Mak Scott combined for 31 points to lead Lyman. Volmer finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. Scott tallied 13 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots. McKenzie Laverdure recorded nine points. Annie Brakke and Taleyna Wingert logged five points apiece. 

Faulkton Area’s Carley Cotton scored 14 points and hit three 3-pointers. Addison Melius posted 13 points and 14 rebounds. Kelli Stoecker and Paislee Martinmaas scored eight points apiece. Stoecker had seven rebounds, while Paislee Martinmaas had six rebounds. 


Howard 62, Chester Area 51

HOWARD — Abby Aslesen and Kate Connor combined for 41 points and 33 rebounds to power Howard to a Region 3B girls basketball win on Monday.

Aslesen finished with 28 points and 21 rebounds, while Connor added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Connor also scored her 1,000th career point. Rylee Rudebusch added seven points and four rebounds. Canyon Kidd and Trinity Palmquist scored six and five points, respectively. Palmquist had four rebounds and four assists. 

Chester Area’s Emery Larson recorded18 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Emmerson Eppard had 14 points, eight rebounds and four 3-pointers. Jacy Wolf tallied eight points and Kaylor Garaets had five points. 


Iroquois/Lake Preston 62, Flandreau Indian 30 

IROQUOIS — Adison Moore and Hadlee Holt combined for 40 points to pace Iroquois/Lake Preston to a Region 2B girls basketball win on Monday. 

Moore finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Holt added 13 points and eight rebounds. 

Flandreau Indian’s Angie Bell scored 11 points, while Mashyla Main had nine points. 


Kimball/White Lake 47, Chamberlain 44

WHITE LAKE — Kimball/White Lake clipped Chamberlain in Region 5A girls basketball action on Monday.

Harley Namanny scored 17 points, while Ryann Nielsen added 13 points and eight rebounds. Ryann Grussing logged 12 points. 

Chamberlain’s Kinsey Evans had 21 points and 11 rebounds. 


Colman-Egan 54, Canistota 46

COLMAN — Brynlee Landis and Kaylee Voelker combined to score 33 points to pace Colman-Egan to a Region 3B girls basketball win on Monday. Colman-Egan hit 10 3-pointers. 

Landis recorded 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four 3-pointers. Voelker finished with 15 points and four 3-pointers. Lanie Mousel added nine points, while Berkley Groos had eight rebounds. Abby Rhode added eight boards. 

Canistota’s Natalie Becker had 16 points and 13 rebounds. Kayle Papendick added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Hannah Hoffman added nine points on three 3-pointers. Ellie Becker finished with five points and eight rebounds. 


Ipswich 43, Sunshine Bible Academy 29 

IPSWICH — Ipswich pulled away from Sunshine Bible Academy for a Region 6B girls basketball win on Monday. 

Katie Bierman led Ipswich with 15 points and five assists. Gabby Wald logged 11 points. Brianna Geditz posted seven points and four rebounds. 

SBA’s Rylee Nelson scored nine points, while Abby Hinman had seven rebounds. 


Garretson 58, Dell Rapids 53

GARRETSON — Garretson edged Dell Rapids for a Region 3A girls basketball win on Monday. 

Garretson’s Reagan Altman and Logan Bly scored 15 points apiece. Bly added four steals and seven rebounds, while Altman had nine rebounds. Jordyn Williams finished with 10 points. Kylie Christensen grabbed eight boards. 

Dell Rapids’ Clara Wynia had 19 points and seven rebounds. Jenna Miller scored 15 points.
