Rapid City Stevens 68, Rapid City Christian 62

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures and Hayden Thorton scored her 1,000th career point as Class AA No. 4 Rapid City Stevens defeated Rapid City Christian in girls basketball action Friday.

Mackenzie Schreiber scored 16 points and hit four 3-pointers. Marley Seumanutafa scored 12 points. Finley Love and Jessa Griswold scored 10 points apiece. Halle Peterson had nine points and Thorton added eight points. 

For Rapid City Christian, Sadie Marshall had 17 points and Brynn Casey scored 12 points. Nia Selfridge totaled 11 points and Maddie Kooiman had eight points. Nora Kieffer added six points and Miley Johnson had five points. 


Aberdeen Central 51, Brookings 40

BROOKINGS — A fourth quarter surge powered Class AA No. 5 Aberdeen Central to a girls basketball win over Brookings Friday.

Kenadi Withers led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 18 points, seven rebounds and five blocks, Lauryn Burckhard added 12 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks and three assists, Kamdyn Borge collected 11 points and four rebounds in the win.

For Brookings, Julia Burns led the way with 13 points and three rebounds, Sloan McLagan added nine points, four rebounds and four assists, Harper Hoek had six points while Taylee Connot added six points, 10 rebounds and two steals in the loss. Tessa Connot recorded four points, five rebounds and five blocks as well.


Wagner 58, Platte-Geddes 30

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal’s double-double powered Class A No. 4 Wagner to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Koupal finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and five assists. Braxton Nedved added 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Ravyn Medricky totaled six points, while Mataya Bruguier had five points and five boards.

For PG, Kori VanDerWerff finished with 13 points and four rebounds. Taylor Schrank added 10 points and Zana Zephier scored five points.


Dakota Valley 65, Madison 30

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Aubree Worden’s 21-point game guided Dakota Valley over Madison in girls basketball action Friday.

Worden finished with 21 points and nine rebounds, Katie Betsworth added 12 points and eight rebounds while Sophia Meyer had five assists and four steals in the win.

Madison’s stats were not reported.


Harrisburg 56, Douglas 19

HARRISBURG — Three players scored in double figures to power Harrisburg to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Harrisburg’s Logan Durnil had 21 points. Taylor Nedved and Lyddia Jensen scored 10 points apiece.

For Douglas, Kalani St. Andre had seven points.
