Flandreau 36, Florence-Henry 25

HENRY — Flandreau held off Florence-Henry in Region 2A girls basketball action and qualified for the SoDak 16. Flandreau will play St. Thomas More on Thursday in the SoDak 16. 

Flandreau's Sadie Iott scored 15 points, while Claire Sheppard added nine points. Lizzie Pavlis posted six points. 

Florence-Henry's Caylin Kelly had nine points and six rebounds. Trinity Watson had six points and six boards. Haley Hlavacek scored six points and had four rebounds. 


Pierre 65, Sioux Falls Jefferson 58

PIERRE — Class AA No. 3 Pierre outlasted Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Jefferson for a girls basketball win on Monday. 

Ryann Barry led the Governors with 16 points, six rebounds and four 3-pointers. Lennix DuPris logged 16 points, seven rebounds and three 3-pointers. Remington Price posted 14 points and Reese Terwilliger had eight points. Maya Shorter scored six points and Ayvrie Kaiser had five points. 

Jefferson’s Jaidyn Dunn had 16 points and seven rebounds. Cierra Watkins recorded 15 points and seven rebounds. Ashlen Johnson added 12 points and Abigail Schuldt scored 10 points. 


Leola/Frederick Area 46, Northwestern 33

WEBSTER — A balanced scoring attack helped Leola/Frederick Area to a win over Northwestern in girls basketball action Monday. 

Sofia Losure led Leola/Frederick Area with 10 points and nine rebounds. Jocelynn Ellwein added nine points with Laura Sumption and Kalyce Achen scoring eight and seven points respectively. 

Ella Haven and Ella Boekelheide each recorded eight points to lead Northwestern.
