Hamlin 51, Vermillion 34

MADISON — Class A No. 1 Hamlin pulled away from Class A No. 2 Vermillion at the Dak-XII/NEC Clash on Saturday.

Hamlin’s Kami Wadsworth tossed in a game-high 25 points. 

Vermillion’s Kasey Hanson recorded nine points. Brooke Jensen and Taylor Reuvers added six points apiece. Reuvers added four rebounds, while Chandler Cleveland grabbed five boards. 


Wagner 63, Viborg-Hurley 41

YANKTON — Class A No. 3 Wagner defeated Class B No. 1 Wagner in girls basketball action on Saturday. 

Wagner’s Emma Yost recorded 17 points, while Lydia Yost scored 12 points. Shalayne Nagel netted 11 points and Ashlyn Koupal scored nine points. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Coral Mason finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Denae Mach scored 10 points. Shelby Lyons had eight points, while Estelle Lee scored six points. 


Lyman 71, Herreid/Selby Area 54

HIGHMORE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Lyman to a girls basketball win over Herreid/Selby Area on Saturday.

Lyman’s Mak Scott recorded 21 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. Skyler Volmer added 20 points, seven 3-pointers, six rebounds and three assists. McKenzie Laverdure scored 18 points on six 3-pointers. Annie Brakke had five points and six rebounds. Kelsyn Wells scored five points. 


Wolsey-Wessington 58, Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 36

FORESTBURG — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Wolsey-Wessington to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Mya Boomsma scored 17 points, while Leah Williams and Mallory Miller scored 13 points apiece. Miller added 11 rebounds and five assists. Payton Kemnitz had six rebounds. Lainey Uttecht had five steals and Williams added four steals. 

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s Kam Ochsner posted 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kali Hofer scored nine points and Jaycee Baruth added eight points. 


Kimball/White Lake 63, Colome 29

WHITE LAKE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Kimball/White Lake to a girls basketball win over Colome on Saturday.

Harley Namanny finished with 24 points and seven rebounds. Ryann Nielsen added 11 points, four steals and four assists. Dani Deffenbaugh logged 11 rebounds, while Ryann Grussing posted nine points and four steals.

Colome’s Toree Ringing Shield scored 15 points, while Maura Luedke added five rebounds.  


Miller 36, Platte-Geddes 29 

PLATTE — Miller held off Platte-Geddes for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Miller’s Morgan Kolda scored a game-high 15 points. 

Platte-Geddes’ Cadence VanZee had eight points and eight rebounds. Hadley Hanson recorded six points. Karly VanDerWerff logged five points, eight rebounds, six steals and three assists. 


Deubrook Area 60, Hitchcock-Tulare 26

WHITE — Deubrook Area pulled away from Hitchcock-Tulare for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Deubrook Area’s Brooke Koppatschek finished with 11 points. Kadence Bowne and Kyarra Blum scored 10 points apiece. Ellie Koenig scored nine points. 

HT’s Katelyn Schroeder scored 12 points, while Isabel Gilbert added seven points. 


Arlington 47, Great Plains Lutheran 35

ARLINGTON — Jaelyn Huntimer and Addalyn Steffensen combined to score 27 points to pace Arlington to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Huntimer recorded 17 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Steffensen logged 10 points, six rebounds and four steals. Jolyssa Steffensen scored nine points, while Harley Johnson scored six points. Ellisyn Vincent finished with five points. 

Great Plains Lutheran’s Olivia Holman recorded 15 points and 17 rebounds. Esta Cameron posted six points, while Halle Bauer added five points. 


Canton 70, Groton Area 63

MADISON — Canton held off Groton Area for a girls basketball at the Dak-XII/NEC Clash on Saturday.

Canton’s Amanda Lease scored 21 points 

Groton Area’s Sydney Leicht recorded 23 points. Brooke Gengerke finished with 10 points, while Kennedy Hansen added eight points. 


Tea Area 48, Milbank Area 40 

MADISON — Mara Grant and Katie Vasecka combined to score 33 points to secure a girls basketball win at the Dak-XII/NEC Clash on Saturday.

Grant finished with 20 points and five rebounds. Vasecka added 13 points and six rebounds. Miah Weber scored eight points. 

Milbank’s Maurina Street scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Isabella Anderson scored seven points, while Josie Riveland added six points and five rebounds. Siera Wenzl logged five points. 


Madison 52, Deuel 40

MADISON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Madison to a girls basketball win over Deuel at the Dak-XII/NEC Clash on Saturday.

Madison’s Aubrey Nelson posted 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Karley Lurz finished with 14 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Zoey Gerry had 13 points and seven rebounds. 

Deuel’s Josie Anderson scored 13 points, while Harley Hennings had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals. Jaycee Hourigan had seven points. 


Dell Rapids 53, Webster Area 29

MADISON — Dell Rapids picked up a girls basketball win over Webster Area at the Dak-XII/NEC Clash on Saturday.

Dell Rapids’ Jenna Miller tossed in 16 points, while Claire Wynja added 13 points. Clara Justice tallied seven points and eight rebounds. Elly Olson posted seven points and eight boards. 

Webster Area’s Erin Sannes and Carrington Hansen scored 10 points apiece. 


Brandon Valley 45, Rapid City Stevens 32

BRANDON — Brandon Valley used a 13-3 fourth quarter to secure a girls basketball win over Rapid City Stevens on Saturday. 

Brandon Valley’s Kennedi Deckert finished with 13 points. Alyvia Padgett and Madison Geiver scored eight points apiece. Jaida Metzger scored six points and Hilary Behrens added five points. 

Rapid City Stevens’ Taaliyah Porter scored 15 points. Brittany Jones scored six points and Finley Love added five points.
