Sioux Valley 65, Deuel 35

VOLGA — Three players scored in double figures to pace Sioux Valley to a girls basketball win over Deuel on Tuesday.

Landree Wilson scored 18 points, while Ashley Bjerke added 13 points. Keyra Kruse netted 11 points and Talya Vincent scored nine points. Laryn Stevens added six points.

Deuel’s Jaycee Hourigan scored 12 points and Josie Anderson added five points. 


Corsica-Stickney 56, Kimball/White Lake 43

CORSICA — Avery Broughton posted a double-double to lift Corsica-Stickney to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Broughton finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Jacey Kemp added 12 points. Sutten Eide and Payton DeLange scored seven points apiece. Eide added five rebounds. 

Kimball/White Lake’s Ryann Nielsen and Harley Namanny scored 16 points apiece. Ryann Grussing had six points and six rebounds. 


Parkston 63, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 26

PARKSTON — Parkston jumped out to a 24-5 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday.

Parkston’s Keeara Oakley finished with 15 points, while Faith Oakley added 10 points and four assists. Berkley Ziebart added nine points. Mya Thuringer recorded seven points and five rebounds. Lauren Ziebart had six points and five steals, while Abby Hohn scored five points. 

SCW’s Jaycee Baruth and Ellie Evans scored six points apiece. 


Viborg-Hurley 42, Parker 32

PARKER — A balanced scoring attack helped Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley to a win over Parker in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Coral Mason stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, 14 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks. Estelle Lee and Shelby Lyons each scored nine points for Viborg-Hurley.

Parker Lessman led Parker with 12 points. Janae Olson and Katie Bialas each scored six points for the Pheasants. 

 

Estelline/Hendricks 61, Waubay/Summit 58 (OT)

SUMMIT — Kenzy Beare and Sadie Johnson combined for 40 points as Estelline/Hendricks picked up a win over Waubay/Summit in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Beare led Estelline/Hendricks with 24 points while Johnson added 16 points in the win. 

Eva Benike led Waubay/Summit with 17 points while Faith Larson scored 15 points.

 

Andes Central/Dakota Christian 56, Marty 53

MARTY — Andes Central/Dakota Christian clipped Marty for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Josie Brouwer finished with 22 points and five steals, while Gabbie Olson added nine points and seven rebounds. Isabella Brouwer posted eight points. Halle Olson logged 12 rebounds. Mahpiya Irving finished with seven assists. 

Marty’s Jayla Bruguier netted a game-high 29 points. Hawk Bair added 10 points and four assists. Neveah Medicine Horn had six points and Zoe Waln added five rebounds. 


Potter County 54, Faulkton Area 45

FAULKTON — Tyler Simon and Ashlee Kaup combined to score 33 points to pace Potter County to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Simon finished with 21 points, six rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kaup added 12 points and four rebounds. Kayden Cronin recorded six points and 11 rebounds. Emma Schlachter and Eve Blegm scored five points apiece. Schlachter added nine rebounds. 

Faulkton Area’s Paislee Martinmaas recorded 15 points. Kelli Stoecker added nine points, while Carley Cotton had eight points and 11 rebounds. Gabby Kast added six points and six rebounds. Olivia Hadrick grabbed seven rebounds. 


Parkston 55, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 34

PARKSTON — Parkston picked up a boys basketball win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday. 

Will Jodozi finished with 21 points. Sam Benson and Kaleb Weber scored eight points apiece. James Deckert finished with six points and six rebounds. Luke Bormann added five points. 

SCW’s Jeff Boschee, Evan Easton and Hayden Beigh scored six points apiece. Cody Slykhuis and Brady Larson scored five points apiece. Michael Hoffman grabbed eight rebounds. 


Pierre 49, Huron 33 

HURON — Remington Price paced Class AA No. 3 Pierre to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Price finished with 24 points, five 3-pointers and scored her 1,000th career point. Reese Terwilliger added nine points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Ryan Barry had seven points. 

Huron’s Hamtyn Heinz logged 10 points and four rebounds. Isabelle Ellwein recorded nine points, while Kristen Janes added seven points. 


Webster Area 39, Northwestern 34

WEBSTER — Webster Area held off Northwestern for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Webster Area’s Harley Johnson and Katie Braun scored eight points apiece. Erin Sannes recorded six points and five rebounds. Payton Snell grabbed 10 rebounds.

Northwestern’s Tara Blachford scored 15 points on five 3-pointers. Ella Haven logged 11 points and 13 rebounds. Ashley Haven added 14 boards, while Ella Boekelheide added seven rebounds and four assists. 


Flandreau 64, De Smet 39

FLANDREAU — Three players scored in double figures to pace Flandreau to a girls basketball win over De Smet on Tuesday. 

Claire Sheppard recorded 23 points, five rebounds and four steals. Lizzie Pavlis added 21 points and four assists. Lily Klein recorded 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists. 

De Smet’s Hazel Luethmers scored 17 points, while Jada Burke added 10 points. 


Vermillion 60, Dakota Valley 52

VERMILLION — Class A No. 2 Vermillion held off Dakota Valley for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Brooke Jensen finished with 13 points, while Chandler Cleveland scored 11 points. Leah Herbster added eight points. 


Sisseton 61, Milbank 25

MILBANK — Krista Lanager and Emalee Nielsen combined for 29 points as Sisseton picked up a win over Milbank in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Lanager powered the Sisseton attack with 18 points and seven rebounds. Nielson added 11 points while Tara Nelson chipped in with nine points. 

Maurina Street led Milbank with 11 points while Isabella Anderson finished her night with nine points. 


Brookings 69, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 48 

BROOKINGS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Brookings to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Logan Smidt finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and three 3-pointers. Gracey Sheridan and Sofia Dvergsten scored 10 points apiece. Sheridan added five assists, while Dvergsten had seven rebounds. Tess Burns scored nine points. Sophia Hammrich recorded seven points, six rebounds and eight assists. Amari Ward netted five points. 

Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Katie Spicer scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists and hit three 3-pointers. Morgan Johnson finished with nine points, while Madison Smalley added seven rebounds.
