The girls DWU/Culver’s Classic Feb. 13 at the Corn Palace. 

The nine-game classic starts with Freeman vs. Gettysburg at 9 a.m., while Bennett County plays Ethan at 9 p.m. in the nightcap. The classic features nine teams either ranked or receiving votes in the latest South Dakota Prep Media Basketball Poll. 

All Games will be streamed exclusively online as Pay-Per-View via LiveTicket.tv at dwu.liveticket.tv. Viewers can purchase each game for $12.99 apiece. It is a livestream only and no playbacks will be available. 


Here’s a look at the games to watch: 

Lyman vs Parkston

The top-two Class B teams will play in a marquee girls basketball game. 

Class B No. 1 Lyman (15-1) will play Class B No. 2 Parkston (15-1) at 7:30 p.m. in a matchup of the top-ranked Class B teams. 

It will be the third meeting in the last two seasons between the Raiders and Trojans. Parkston won both meetings last season, a 51-44 decision at the Hanson Classic and a 38-35 win for the Class B consolation championship. 

Lyman’s lone setback this season was a 64-32 loss against Bishop Heelan Catholic, Iowa. The Raiders are coming off a 71-30 win over Chamberlain on Feb. 9. Sophomore Jordyn Scott (24 points), senior Mak Scott (20 points) and junior Brooke Montgomery (10 points) each scored in double figures against the Cubs. 

Parkston’s lone loss was a 48-37 decision against Class A No. 3 Wagner. The Trojans are on a six-game winning streak, including a win over Class B No. 9 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (57-47). 

The Trojans are paced by junior guards Keera Oakley and Berkley Ziebart. 


St. Thomas More vs Clark/Willow Lake

Two top-10 Class A teams will play at 3 p.m.

Class A No. 7 Clark/Willow Lake (14-2) will play Class A No. 8 St. Thomas More (13-4) in a battle of two teams with state tournament aspirations. 

CWL’s two losses were against Class A No. 6 Sioux Valley (57-26) and Class A No. 5 Sioux Falls Christian (53-29). The Cyclones rattled off a 13-game winning streak in between the two losses, including a win over Class A No. 9 Aberdeen Roncalli (50-38). 

In their recent 64-24 win over Britton-Hecla, sophomore Brynn Roehrich (12 points), freshman Shelby Begeman (12 points), junior Johanna Vandersnick (11 points) and freshman Jenny Bevers (11 points) scored in double figures.

STM is coming off a 64-25 loss against Class A No. 1 Mahpiya Luta on Feb. 10. The loss snapped an eight-game winning streak, including a 50-40 win over Class AA Spearfish. STM also dropped a 51-36 decision against Class A No. 10 West Central. 

The Cavaliers are led by senior Enna Henry, senior Rachael Hyde, junior Brynn Donnelly and junior Leighton Scherr.  


Hamlin vs Sioux Falls Christian

In a rematch of last season’s Class A semifinals, Hamlin and Sioux Falls Christian will play in a top-five Class A matchup. Class A No. 2 Hamlin (14-1) will play Class A No. 5 Sioux Falls Christian (15-3) at 4:30 p.m. 

The Chargers, who won last season’s Class A state championship, defeated Hamlin (44-33) in the 2025 semifinals. Sioux Falls Christian enters the top-five battle on a seven-game winning streak, including wins over ranked teams Sioux Valley (55-46) and Clark/Willow Lake (53-29). Sioux Falls Christian’s three defeats were against Lennox (48-34), St. Michael-Albertville, Minnesota (48-42) and Rapid City Christian (55-54, OT). 

Sioux Falls Christian is led by 5-foot-10 senior Ruth Dvoracek, 6-foot-2 junior Lezlei Setzer, and 6-foot junior Emory Lems. 

After Hamlin dropped a 54-48 setback against Wagner on Jan. 17, the Chargers have rattled off six straight wins. Hamlin’s six-game winning streak included two wins over Class A No. 3 Lennox (59-57, 45-42) and over Class A No. 9 Aberdeen Roncalli (50-36). The Chargers are led by 5-foot-6 senior Addison Neuendorf, 5-foot-8 junior Issie Steffensen and 6-foot sophomore Addelyn Jensen. Neuendorf will play college basketball next season at Northern State University. 


Bennett County vs Ethan

A top-five Class B matchup caps off the DWU/Culver’s Classic. 

Class B No. 3 Bennett County (14-2) will play Class B No. 5 Ethan (15-1) at 9 p.m. in a top-five contest. 

Bennett County, which won last season’s Class B state championship, is riding a 12-game winning streak. The Warriors’ two defeats were against Class A No. 1 Mahpiya Luta and Class A Lakota Tech, which is receiving votes in the latest South Dakota Prep Media Basketball Poll. 

The Warriors are led by all-staters and sisters Peyson O’Neill and Reagan O’Neill. Peyson, a 6-foot freshman, is coming off a 34-point performance in a win over Hay Springs, Nebraska. Reagan, a 5-foot-10 sophomore, added 19 points in the victory. 

The Rustlers’ lone defeat was a 59-50 setback against Class A No. 3 Wagner. Ethan is on a 10-game winning streak, including victories over Class B No. 10 Corsica-Stickney (46-35) and Class B No. 9 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (52-34) in back-to-back games. 

Ethan is led by all-stater Marissa Storm, Rachel Klock and Taziah Hawkins, who recently scored her 1,000th career point.
