Parkston 27, Platte-Geddes 15

PARKSTON -- The Parkston Trojans owned the trenches Friday night grinding out 307 yards rushing in a win over previously undefeated Platte-Geddes. Cole Prunty had another big night with 26 carries for 173 yards and a touchdown. Brayden Jevik and Kaleb Weber both had touchdowns. Defensively the Trojans intercepted five Platte-Geddes passes with Luke Bormann and Ethan Poore each grabbing two. 

Platte-Geddes managed 212 yards of total offense but only 35 yards rushing. Joey Foxley caught four passes for 91 yards. On defense, Grayson Hanson recorded 17 tackles, 13 of them unassisted. 


Avon 60, Alcester-Hudson 24

AVON -- The Pirates rushed for 479 yards with Brady Bierema going for 208 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries. Riley Rucktaeschel carried the ball five times for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Jaden Stahl, Tyler Tjeerdsma and Lance Odens added another 79, 44 and 38 yards. 

Alcester Hudson racked up 253 yards of total offense with Jovey Christensen contributing 103 rushing yards with two touchdowns. 


Gayville-Volin 43, Corsica-Stickney 14

CORSICA -- Gayville-Volin recorded 246 total yards and forced seven turnovers to key a high school football win on Friday.

Nate Quatier finished with 72 passing yards and two touchdown passes. Quatier added 89 rushing yards and a score, while Andrew Gustad and Kyle Hirsch each scored on the ground. Gustad and Kirsch also caught touchdown receptions. Hirsch intercepted two passes and Gustad had a team-high five tackles.

For the Jaguars, Tyson Wentland threw for 126 yards and two passing touchdowns. Caden Vandrongelen had 58 rushing yards, while Carter Wright had 94 receiving yards and two touchdown receptions. Wright had a team-high 11.5 tackles. 


Faulkton Area 54, Leola-Frederick Area 8

LEOLA -- Faulkton Area ground out 303 yards rushing as the Trojans rolled to a win over Leola-Frederick.

Simon Bowar ran for 142 yards and three touchdowns while Garrett Cramer finished with 112 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Geditz and Bennett Cassens each recorded interceptions on the night. Carter Hall threw a touchdown pass, while Geditz rushed for a score. Layne Cotton and Kayden Hammond caught touchdown receptions. Bowar racked up a team-high 8.5 tackles and Layne Cotton 6.5 tackles. 

Leola-Frederick Area managed just 141 yards of total offense. Hans Lapka scored the only touchdown of the night for the Titans and finished with 13 yards rushing. Brayden Sumption threw for 52 yards and Vincent Petrich had 52 receiving yards. Gavin Nickelson recorded 6.5 tackles on defense. 


Herreid/Selby Area 62, Sunshine Bible Academy 6

MILLER -- Herreid/Selby Area racked up 387 total yards en route to a high school football win over Sunshine Bible Academy.

Trey Sayler finished with 119 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Tray Hettick added 218 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Trevor Sayler and Brenden Begeman each had touchdown receptions. Begeman had a rushing score. Sayler had eight tackles on defense and Begeman had two interceptions. Trevor Gill also had an interception.

Nolan Triebwasser had an 84-yard interception return for SBA’s lone touchdown. 


De Smet 50, Elkton-Lake Benton 0

De SMET -- De Smet rolled up 429 total yards and stayed undefeated on Friday night.

Colt Wilkinson threw for 233 yards on 11 of 13 passing and had four touchdown passes. He added a rushing score. Kalen Garry hauled in 93 receiving yards and a touchdown reception, while rushing for another score. Rett Osthus posted 92 receiving yards and had two touchdown receptions. Kadyn Fast and Tory Holland added touchdowns for the Bulldogs. 

Defensively, Noah Harrison recorded seven tackles. Wilkinson and Blake Van Regenmorter posted six tackles apiece. 

For ELB, Ryan Krog rushed for 37 yards.


Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 45, Jim River 6

FORESTBURG -- Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central piled up 351 yards and knocked off Jim River in Class 11B action on Friday.

Carter Grohs led the Blackhawks with 150 rushing yards and two scores. Hayden Beigh and Blake Larson each scored a rushing touchdown. Blake Larson threw for 60 yards and had a touchdown pass to Tryce Slykhuis. The Blackhawks finished with 291 rushing yards.

For Jim River, Logan Sayler scored on a 90-yard kickoff return for its lone touchdown. The Trappers finished with 111 total yards. Sayler rushed for 29 yards and Dawson Bietz threw for 19 yards. 


Wagner 21, Miller/Highmore-Harrold 20

WAGNER -- After falling behind 14-0 the Wagner Red Raiders rallied for a 21-20 win over the Rustlers.

Another big night for Red Raiders quarterback Dustin Honomichi who passed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while adding 71 yards rushing. Chris Nelson added 59 yards rushing and one touchdown. Nolan Dvorak led the defense with 12 tackles, nine of them solo stops. Dvorak added 69 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Nelson had 65 receiving yards and another score. Riley Roberts, Toby Zephier and Kahle Hill had interceptions on defense.  

Tate Hoffman led the Rustlers with 162 yards rushing on 23 carries including one touchdown. Owen Fritzsche recorded a defensive touchdown on a fumble return. Trey Knox threw for 69 yards, while Jaden Anderberg added 35 rushing yards and a score. Coby Aasby had a team-high 31 receiving yards and Hoffman had an interception. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 50, Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian 0

MOUNT VERNON -- Mount Vernon/Plankinton racked up 334 total yards and shutout Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian in prep football action on Friday.

The Titans finished with 317 rushing yards. Reed Rus finished with 88 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Chris Mayer racked up 70 yards on the ground and three scores. Griffin Tobin had two rushing scores and Brady Fox scored a rushing touchdown. Tobin had a team-high 5.5 tackles. 

For TDAACDC, Cade Faulkner threw for 40 yards and Trey Sparks added 32 yards on the ground. Nolan Black Cloud had 28 receiving yards and Sparks had a team-high 4.5 tackles. 


Canistota-Freeman 46, Viborg-Hurley 18

VIBORG -- Tage Ortman threw for three touchdowns and Isiah Robertson rushed for two scores in a Canisota/Freeman win on Friday.

Ortman threw for 117 yards and added 50 rushing yards and another score. Robertson recorded 134 rushing yards, while Noah Kleinsasser had 78 rushing yards and a score. Will Ortman hauled in 73 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions. Kleinsasser had a team-high 13.5 tackles. The Pride finished with 406 total yards.

For Viborg-Hurley, Chance Schollerman had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown. Conner Kessler added 95 rushing yards and George Johnson finished with 26 receiving yards. Byron Osterloo had six tackles. The Cougars finished with 228 total yards.  


Britton-Hecla 42, Great Plains Lutheran 8

BRITTON -- Aiden Fredrickson rushed for 196 yards and four touchdowns to power Britton-Hecla to a win over Great Plains Lutheran on Friday.

The Braves finished with 266 yards, including 248 rushing yards on 38 carries. BoDell Davidson added 59 rushing yards and a score. Defensively, Gage Storley and Fredrickson each had an interception. Storley had a team-high 8.5 tackles and Frederickson had 6.5 tackles. 

For GPL, Thomas Erickson rushed for 97 yards on 16 carries and scored its lone touchdown. Jacob Bartels threw for 77 yards and David Sell had 58 receiving yards. Vincent Knutson had eight tackles.


Timber Lake 30, Lemmon-McIntosh 12

LEMMON -- Timber Lake outscored Lemmon-McIntosh 22-0 in the second half en route to a Little Moreau Conference football win on Friday.

The Panthers piled up 324 total yards, including 275 on the ground. Hank Kraft powered the Panthers with 241 rushing yards on 33 carries and had a rushing touchdown. He also racked up nine tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown.

Kedrick Martin threw a touchdown strike to Chazz Gabe. Slater Ducheneaux added eight tackles and Jayce Lawrence posted seven tackles. Carter Keller scored on a fumble return for a touchdown.

For Lemmon-McIntosh, Sawyer Thompson threw for 185 yards and had a touchdown. Tell Mollman rushed for 35 yards on 10 carries and scored a touchdown. Talon Trogstad had 86 receiving yards and had a touchdown reception. Tanner Miller posted five tackles. 


Potter County 44, Hitchcock-Tulare 38

HITCHCOCK -- Grant Luikens erupted for 417 total yards and six total touchdowns to power Potter County past Hitchcock-Tulare on Friday.

Luikens finished with 221 rushing yards on 34 carries and scored six touchdowns. He threw for 196 passing yards on 11 of 28 attempts. Seth Sharp hauled in three catches for 89 yards and Drake Bassett had 38 receiving yards. Defensively, Luikens had 10 tackles and Cooper Logan added nine tackles and an interception. 

For Hitchcock-Tulare, Jack Boomsma threw for 284 yards and had two total touchdowns. He added 71 rushing yards, while Erik Salmen had 102 rushing yards and had two rushing scores. Salmen had seven solo tackles and forced a fumble. 


Florence-Henry 56, Waverly-South Shore 0

WAVERLY -- Florence-Henry rushed for 255 yards en route to a football win over Waverly-South Shore on Friday. 

Tegan Sumner threw for 124 yards and 63 rushing yards, while Ashton Hanson rushed for 70 yards. Sumner finished with two total touchdowns, while Hanson had rushing touchdowns. Mekhi Keller hauled in a touchdown reception, while Clay Trupe, Karter Kohlenberg and Taryn Sumner added touchdowns. Trupe had a team-high seven tackles, while Chase Kelly had six tackles and a sack. 

For WSS, Troy Kneeland had 58 rushing yards and 57 passing yards. Grant Holman recorde 55 receiving yards. 


Beresford 42, Parker 9

PARKER -- The Beresford football team took to the air Friday night with wide receiver Isaiah Richards grabbing four passes for 111 yards and three touchdowns. Levi Fitzgerald and Jake Goblirsch each grabbed touchdown passes for the Watchdogs. Quarterback Tate VanOtterloo finished the night with five touchdown passes and 174 yards. 

For Parker, quarterback Logan Bridges passed for 74 yards while running back Jaivyn DeBoer led the team with 66 yards rushing. 


Sioux Falls Christian 15, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON -- Sioux Falls Christian cranked out 380 yards of total offense with quarterback Tayton Snyder throwing for 264 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver Jaden Witte hauled in seven passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns, Carter VanDonge caught eight passes for 82 yards. 

For Tri-Valley Jaden Siemonsma finished with 47 rushing yards while Carter Sorenson added 20 yards on the ground. 


Madison 37, Vermillion 26

VERMILLION -- Nate Ricke racked up 264 total yards and scored four touchdowns in Madison’s win over Vermillion.

Ricke rushed for 114 yards and scored four touchdowns, while passing for another 150 yards. Trey Smith added 55 rushing yards and another score. Mickale Dohrer posted 41 receiving yards on five catches. 

For Vermillion, Jack Kratz rushed for 30 yards and had a rushing touchdown. Kratz threw for 71 yards and had a passing touchdown. Ty Hertz threw for 153 yards and had a passing touchdown. Mehki Sheffield hauled in 106 receiving yards, while Zoan Robinson caught two touchdown receptions. 


Groton Area 20, Deuel 14

CLEAR LAKE -- Kaden Kurtz connected with Jackson Cogley for a 23-yard touchdown strike in the fourth quarter as Groton Area edged Deuel on Friday.

Kurtz threw for 155 yards and accounted for three total touchdowns. Kurtz also rushed for 64 yards on 12 carries. Andrew Marzahn posted 58 receiving yards, while Cogley had 34 receiving yards. 

For Deuel, Trey Maaland threw for 149 yards and had a touchdown reception to Ty Lovre. Carver Nothem had 47 rushing yards and Owen Quail scored a rushing touchdown. Zane Bingham had 104 receiving yards. 


West Central 33, Milbank 32 (2 OT)

MILBANK -- Gavin Koch threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns as West Central outlasted Milbank on Friday. 

Braden Dierickx hauled in three touchdown receptions and finished with 194 receiving yards on 10 catches. Justin Zirpel added 56 rushing yards for the Trojans.

For Milbank, Kaden Krause passed for 159 yards and two touchdown passes. Bennett Schwenn had 53 rushing yards and 110 receiving yards, while hauling in a touchdown reception. Carter Bowsher had a touchdown reception.
