Hanson 53, Howard 37

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson pulled away from Howard for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Annalyse Weber led Hanson with 12 points and four assists. Karlie Goergen added 11 points, while Erin Dewald scored eight points. Alyssa Moschell grabbed six rebounds and Vanessa Doyle added four steals. 

Howard’s Kate Connor and Abby Aslesen scored 12 points apiece, while Aslesen added four rebounds. 


Corsica-Stickney 61, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 37

CORSICA — Class B No. 2 Corsica-Stickney jumped out to a 23-9 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Tuesday. 

Avery Broughton led the Jaguars with 18 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Rachel Gerlach logged 16 points, while Payton DeLange added 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. Morgan Clites recorded eight points, while Casey Tolsma logged six points and five rebounds. 

ACDC’s Josie Brouwer recorded 14 points and four rebounds. Lexie VanderPol finished with five points and five rebounds, while Mahpiyah Irving had five points. Isabella Brouwer grabbed seven rebounds and handed out three assists. 


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 55, Redfield 23

PLANKINTON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton picked up a 32-point boys basketball win over Redfield on Tuesday. 

Emilee Fox led the Titans with 14 points, while Maria Baker added 12 points. Reagan Rus scored eight points. 

Ashlyn Clausen, Chelsea Smith and Elie Evans scored five points apiece. 


Colman-Egan 42, Arlington 40

ARLINGTON — Colman-Egan used a 13-5 third quarter to edge Arlington in a girls basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Colman-Egan’s Mackenzie Hemmer scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Hailey Larson and Lanie Mousel scored seven points apiece. Mousel added five rebounds and four steals, while Reese Luze had five points.  

Arlington’s Addalyn Steffensen finished with 17 points, while Jolyssa Steffensen scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds. Harley Johnson scored five points, while Hadley Carlson had nine points and four rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Christian 50, Garretson 32 

GARRETSON — Sioux Falls Christian picked up an 18-point girls basketball win over Garretson on Tuesday. 

Kylah vanDonkersgoed finished with 12 points, while Peyton Poppema scored eight points. Ellie Lems and Brenna Beyke scored seven points apiece. 

Garretson’s Mya Long scored nine points, while Lily Ranschau and Jaelyn Benson scored seven points apiece. 


Sioux Valley 86, Chester Area 53

VOLGA — Isabelle Bloker drilled a school-record 11 3-pointers in Sioux Valley’s girls basketball win over Chester Area on Tuesday. 

Chester Area’s Emery Larson scored 16 points. 


Florence-Henry 67, Webster Area 32

HENRY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Florence-Henry to a girls basketball win over Webster Area on Tuesday. 

Trinity Watson finished with 17 points and four rebounds. Reese Schmidt added 14 points and four rebounds. Caylin Kelly logged 12 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, six steals and two blocked shots. Katelyn Klitzke had eight points, while Taylor Watson added seven points, six rebounds, four steals and four assists. 

Webster Area’s Alivia Baumgarn scored 12 points and Erin Case had nine points. 


Bridgewater-Emery 59, Kimball/White Lake 48

EMERY — Three players scored in double figures to lead Bridgewater-Emery to a girls basketball win over Kimball/White Lake on Tuesday.

Chloe Schmitt finished with 19 points, while Morgan Uptagrafft scored 17 points and Casey Meyer tossed in 10 points. 


Hamlin 74, De Smet 47

DE SMET — Hamlin’s Kami Wadsworth recorded her 1,000th career point in a girls basketball win over De Smet on Tuesday. 

Wadsworth tossed in a game-high 33 points to reach the milestone. 


Flandreau 58, Deuel 19

FLANDREAU — Class A No. 3 Flandreau raced past Deuel for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Faith Wiese scored 14 points, while Maria Parsley tallied 10 points.

Harley Hennings recorded seven points to lead Deuel.


Tea Area 55, Beresford 25

TEA — Katie Vasecka and Mara Grant combined for 32 points to power Tea Area to a girls basketball win over Beresford on Tuesday. 

Vasecka recorded 19 points, while Grant added 13 points and seven rebounds. Brynn Schupner scored eight points and Stella Peterson scored seven points. 

Beresford’s Ella Merriman scored six points, while Ady Hansen added five points and five rebounds. 


Todd County 65, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 29

EAGLE BUTTE — Three players reached double figures as the Lady Falcons of Todd County earned a win Tuesday. 

Bailey White Hat led all scorers with 22 points. Alexis Walking Eagle added 11 points while Wiconi Uses Arrow scored ten points. 

Cassie Carter led the Braves with eight points. 


Viborg-Hurley 58, Avon 23

AVON — Coral Mason’s double-double helped lead Viborg-Hurley to a girls basketball win over Avon on Tuesday.

Mason recorded 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and three steals to pace the Cougars. Denae Mach scored 11 points and four assists, while Charley Nelson added seven points, four assists, and three steals. Delana Mach grabbed seven boards.

For Avon, TIffany Pelton tallied eight points and Courtney Sees added seven points.


Irene-Wakonda 47, Scotland 42

SCOTLAND — Irene-Wakonda edged Scotland in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Emma Marshall scored a game-high 19 points, while Nora O’Malley tallied 11 points and Katie Knodel added nine points.

Delanie VanDriel led the Highlanders with 15 points, while Bailey Vitek scored 11 points and Martina DeBoer tallied nine points.


Ipswich 44, North Central 41

ROSCOE — Ipswich edged North Central in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Katie Bierman led all scorers with 24 points, while Quincy Olivier added 10 points.

North Central’s Brittney Frickson and Jenisa Jacobs tallied 10 points each, while Amree Vander Vorst totaled eight points.


Tri-State 54, Wilmot 29

ROSHOLT — Tri-State used a 15-4 third quarter to put away Wilmot in a Tuesday’s girls basketball contest. 

Wilmot’s Madeline Remund scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds. Mya Heinje added five points. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 46, Sunshine Bible Academy 8

HURON — Katelyn Schroeder and Madison Hofer combined for 29 points as Hitchcock-Tulare raced past Sunshine Bible Academy in a girls basketball game during the consolation semifinal round of the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

Schroeder stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, and six steals, while Hofer added 11 points. Isabel Gilbert grabbed seven rebounds.

For SBA, Betra Amare scored three points, while Jakki Burma and Anna Van Zee each added two points. Burma also tallied six rebounds.


Wolsey-Wessington 46, James Valley Christian 29

WOLSEY — Leah Williams and Mya Boomsma combined for 31 points as Wolsey-Wessington picked up a girls basketball win over James Valley Christian during the semifinal round of the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

Williams finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals, while Boomsma added 13 points.

For JVC, Kaylie Robinson scored 19 points and eight rebounds, while Brenna Held recorded six points and four rebounds.


Aberdeen Christian 41, Faulkton Area 37

ABERDEEN — Class B No. 3 Aberdeen Christian outlasted Faulkton Area in a girls basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Mallory Miller led the Knights with 16 points, 13 rebounds, five blocked shots and three assists. Grace Kaiser also scored 16 points. 

Faulkton Area’s Isabel Aesoph tossed in a game-high 21 points. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 57, Wessington Springs 39

WOLSEY — Liz Boschee and Trista White combined for 33 points as Sanborn Central/Woonsocket powered past Wessington Springs during the semifinal round of the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

Boschee recorded 21 points, while White scored 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Avery Orth led the Spartans with 15 points, while Harlee Heim added 10 boards.


Highmore-Harrold 58, Iroquois/Doland 35

HURON — Courtney Moser and Letha Jessen combined for 39 points to lead Highmore-Harrold to a girls basketball win over Iroquois/Doland during the consolation semifinal round of the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

Moser led all scorers with 23 points and Jessen tallied 16 points. Moser also collected seven rebounds, while Maddie Knox and Reghan Westcott added six points apiece.

For Iroquois/Doland, Katie Dubro scored 11 points, Rebecca Bich tallied 10 points, and Anna Decker added nine points.


Sioux Falls Washington 64, Marshall, Minn. 58

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Washington picked up a girls basketball win over Marshall, Minn. on Tuesday.

Brooklyn Harpe scored 21 points and six rebounds, while Ndjakale Mwenentanda recorded 18 points and seven rebounds. Hannah Harpe contributed 10 points and Taylor Thompson added seven points and seven rebounds.


Huron 55, Brookings 37

HURON — Huron used a 19-2 fourth quarter to pull away from Brookings in a girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Hamtyn Heinz finished with 17 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Isabelle Ellwein recorded 16 points, while Alexis Feenstra tallied eight points. Heaven Gainey added six points and seven rebounds.

For Brookings, Ainsley Shelsta scored 12 points and eight rebounds, while Logan Smidt 10 points and nine rebounds.

Howard 50, Hanson 41

ALEXANDRIA — Luke Koepsell and Kolt Koepsell scored 13 points apiece in Howard’s boys basketball win over Hanson on Tuesday. 

Jace Sifore and Brayden Hinker added eight points apiece. Colby Claussen scored six points. 

Noah Price led Hanson with 14 points and six rebounds. Luke Haiar scored seven points. 


De Smet 75, Hamlin 57

DE SMET — Class B No. 1 De Smet used a 20-9 second quarter to pull away from Hamlin for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Damon Wilkinson and Kalen Garry powered the Bulldogs with 24 points and seven rebounds apiece. Tory Holland added 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Rett Osthus logged eight points, nine assists and four rebounds. Kadyn Fast scored five points and Blake Van Regenmorter added six rebounds. 

Hamlin’s Tyson Stevenson posted a team-high 15 points, while Easton Neuendorf recorded 13 points, five rebounds, five steals and five assists. Brennan Keszler added 10 points. Evan Stormo scored seven points and Dawson Noem added six points. 


Wolsey-Wessington 69, Hitchcock-Tulare 33

WOLSEY — Wolsey-Wessington had four players score in double-figures as they picked up a boys basketball win over Hitchcock-Tulare during the semifinal round of the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

Blaze Herdman scored a game-high 24 points, while Payson Gohn recorded 14 points. Carson Zomer scored 13 points and Tate French added 11 points and six rebounds. Marty Gohn dished out nine assists. 

The Patriots’ T.J. Salmen recorded 12 points, while Erik Salmen tallied nine points. Zach Gilbert added six points.


Wessington Springs 48, James Valley Christian 45

WOLSEY — Wessington Springs edged James Valley Christian in a boys basketball game during the semifinal round of the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

Mason Schelske recorded a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Blake Larson scored 10 points and six rebounds, while Brock Krueger added 10 points and five rebounds.

For JVC, Landon Wager scored 14 points and six rebounds, while Jerrad Wallman recorded eight points.


Potter County 76, Herreid/Selby Area 58

GETTYSBURG — Four players scored in double figures to power Potter County to a boys basketball win over Herreid/Selby Area on Tuesday. 

Drake Bassett led the Battlers with 24 points, while Grant Luikens had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Seth Sharp recorded a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double. Cooper Logan logged 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists. 

HSA’s Brenden Begeman finished with 17 points and four rebounds. Tray Hettick added 11 points, six assists and five rebounds. Trevor Sayler finished with 10 points and six rebounds. Chance Gregg added eight points, while Trevor Gill scored five points. 


Ipswich 68, North Central 33

ROSCOE — Ipswich used a 24-9 third quarter to pull away from North Central in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Taylor Thorson recorded 23 points and Trevor Beyers tallied 10 points. Trevor Heinz and Colby Sylte added nine and eight points, respectively.

For the Thunder, Bryce Beitelspacher scored 12 points. Colton Mohr and Ben Beadle each tallied five points.


Gayville-Volin 50, Colman-Egan 39

COLMAN — Gayville-Volin used a 17-3 fourth quarter to pull away from Colman-Egan for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Kyle Hirsch scored 16 points, nine rebounds, and four steals, while Andrew Gustad recorded 14 points and six rebounds. Spencer Karstens added nine points.

The Hawks’ Antonio Manzano tallied 16 points and six rebounds. Ben Zwart and Logan Voelker scored nine and eight points, respectively.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 63, Redfield 52

PLANKINTON — Reed Rus and Zach Baker combined for 41 points to pace Mount Vernon/Plankinton to a boys basketball win over Redfield on Tuesday. 

Rus recorded 29 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots. Baker added 12 points and five rebounds. Jordan Stoltz finished with six points and nine boards, while Mason Hetland added six points and four rebounds. 

Redfield’s Peyton Osborn finished with 28 points and Mitchell Mack added nine points. 


Sioux Valley 67, Chester Area 51

VOLGA — Class A No. 5 Sioux Valley used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a 16-point boys basketball win over Chester Area on Tuesday. 

Parker Puetz led the Cossacks with 13 points and hit three 3-pointers. Damian Danzeisen and Hayden Ruesink scored 10 points apiece, while Danzeisen nailed three 3-pointers. Ruesink collected 12 rebounds. Oliver Vincent scored nine points and dished out nine assists. Alec Squires logged six points and 13 rebounds. Patrick Carey hit three 3-pointers for nine points. Dylen Milton scored eight points. 

Chester Area’s Ashton Olivier scored 15 points, including four 3-pointers. Stratton Eppard posted 13 points, four rebounds and four assists. Brock Wages and Jovi Wolf scored nine points apiece. Wages grabbed six rebounds, while Wolf added five boards. Brayden Vogel collected five rebounds. Ryan Benson had four assists and six rebounds. 


Aberdeen Christian 58, Faulkton Area 54

ABERDEEN — Class B No. 4 Aberdeen Christian clipped Faulkton Area in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Ethan Russell finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Malek Wieker finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Jackson Isakson had nine points and eight boards. 

Faulkton Area’s Layne Cotton had 14 points, while Hunter Niederbaumer added 11 points and nine rebounds. Bennett Cassens scored nine points. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 50, Sunshine Bible Academy 18

HURON — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket cruised past Sunshine Bible Academy to pick up a boys basketball win during the 281 Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

Tryce Slykhuis scored 15 points, while Toby Kneen tallied 12 points. Brady Larson recorded eight points and seven rebounds. Bryce Larson and Noah Wormstadt each grabbed seven rebounds.

SBA was led by Nolan Triebwasser with 10 points and four steals, while Daniel Gerbracht added five points and seven rebounds.


Flandreau 77, Deuel 56

FLANDREAU — Tash Lunday and Chase LeBrun recorded double-doubles to power Flandreau to a boys basketball win over Deuel on Tuesday.

Lunday logged 33 points and 11 rebounds, while LeBrun added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Alex Anderson scored 15 points. 

Deuel’s Gavin Benck tossed in 21 points, while Trey Maaland scored 11 points. 


Todd County 69, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 67

EAGLE BUTTE — Three Todd County players reached double figures as the Falcons earned a road win Tuesday. 

Stephan Guerue led the Falcons with 17 points. Ray Crow added 15 points while Ashton Eagle Bear added ten points. 

Rance Harrison led Cheyenne-Eagle Butte with 30 points. Teysean Eaglestaff also reached double figures with 10 points. 


Tiospa Zina 71, Britton-Hecla 63

AGENCY VILLAGE — Tiospa Zina held off Britton-Hecla for a Tuesday boys basketball victory.

Tiospa Zina’s Jasiah Red Bear scored a game-high 28 points, while Juron Adams added 15 points in the win. Reondre Greeley logged eight points, while Perry Lufkins scored six points. 

Britton-Hecla’s Aidan Frederickson netted 23 points, while Landon Carlson scored 14 points and hit three 3-pointers. Dawson Treeby scored nine points and Ashton Mills added eight points. 


Estelline/Hendricks 81, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 76 (OT)

ESTELLINE — Four players scored in double figures as Estelline/Hendricks edged Oldham-Ramona/Rutland in a boys basketball contest on Tuesday. 

Braxton Saathoff finished with 23 points and eight rebounds. Joe McAninch had 15 points and five rebounds. Lorenzo Iotti added 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Dawson Bury followed with 12 points and six rebounds. Mattix Hausman scored six points. 

ORR’s Will Matson tossed in 23 points and Orion Albertson had 20 points. Isaac Trygstad scored 16 points. 


Sioux Falls Lincoln 68, Huron 44

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win over Huron on Tuesday. 

Caleb Hiatt led the Patriots with 16 points and four rebounds. J.T. Rock recorded 15 points and eight rebounds, while Khalil Cisse scored 14 points. Eli Olson added six points, while Elliot Whitney and Kyler Dahl scored five points apiece. Gage Gohl dished out five assists. 

Huron’s Max Kranzler tossed in 19 points. Isaiah Decker scored six points, while Reilyn Zavesky added five points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 58, Marshall, Minn. 54

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Washington edged Marshall, Minn. in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Mikele Kambalo led all scorers with 19 points. Tommy Peterson and Joe Uttecht each recorded nine points. Uttecht also dished out five assists. Zharic Sheppard added six points.
