Mitchell 46, Rapid City Central 37

MITCHELL — Mitchell held off Rapid City Central for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Mitchell’s Addie Siemsen finished with 10 points for the Kernels. Sawyer Stoebner logged eight points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Allison Meyerink chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds. Carsyn Weich scored six points. 

Rapid City Central’s Teila Jiron scored 12 points, while Marielle Colhoff had nine points. 


Northwestern 64, Potter County 48

MELLETTE — Ashley Haven and Adriana Ratigan combined for 36 points to pace Northwestern to a girls basketball win over Potter County on Saturday. 

Ratigan recorded 23 points and nine rebounds. Haven added 13 points and 10 boards. Ella Haven and Josie Sparling scored nine points apiece. Ella Haven added five rebounds and five assists. Ella Boekelheide logged seven points and seven rebounds. 

Potter County’s Ashlee Kaup scored 13 points and collected six rebounds. Kayden Cronin tossed in 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Emma Schlachter netted nine points and added five rebounds. Tyler Simon added seven points and seven rebounds. 


Sully Buttes 69, Warner 65 (OT) 

ONIDA — Sully Buttes outlasted Class B No. 5 Warner in girls basketball action on Saturday.

Stevie Wittler recorded a team-high 20 points and recorded her 1,000th career point. Addison Chicoine added 16 points for the Chargers. 


Faulkton Area 43, Hitchcock-Tulare 36

TULARE — A balanced scoring effort helped Faulkton Area to a win over Hitchcock-Tulare in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Paislee Martinmaas led Faulkton Area with 12 points and nine rebounds. Addison Melius also scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds. Carley Cotton and Gabby Kast each scored five points in the win. 

Gracyn Bixler led Hitchcock-Tulare with 12 points. Jessica Godfrey scored seven points with Isabel Gilbert and Katelyn Schroeder each snaring five rebounds. 


Vermillion 32, Luverne, Minn., 31 

SIOUX FALLS — Class A No. 1 Vermillion outlasted Luverne, Minnesota, to improve to 14-0 at the Sacred Hoops All-Girls Classic on Saturday.

Vermillion’s Taylor Reuvers finished with nine points, while Kasey Hanson and Brooke Jensen scored seven points apiece. Brooklyn Voss added six points. 


Omaha Nation, Neb., 45, Lower Brule 43

HURON — Omaha Nation, Nebraska, clipped Lower Brule for the girls basketball championship at the Dakota Oyate Challenge on Saturday. 

Omaha Nation’s Kaelynne Wolfe scored 11 points. 

Lower Brule’s Brilyn LaRoche scored 16 points and Courtney Traversie finished with 14 points. Kaitlyn Thompson added eight points. 


Marty 60, Wakpala 30

Huron — Three players scored in double figures as the Marty girls claimed third place at the Dakota Oyate Challenge with a win over Wakpala on Saturday. 

Hawk Bair capped off a superb tournament with a game-high 16 points. Rozario Zephier added 15 points while Jayla Brugier chipped in with 10 points. 

Wakpala’s Katie Transgrud and Tyrianna Hawk Bear scored six points apiece. Tylene Hawk Bear and Meika McKee scored five points apiece. 


Flandreau Indian 51, Tiospaye Topa 48

HURON — Niyah Sierra and Haley Schmeig combined for 30 points as the Flandreau Indian girls defeated Tiospaye Saturday to finish fifth at the Dakota Oyate Challenge. 

Sierra led all scorers with 20 points while Schmieg chipped in with 10 points. Mashyia Main and Angelique Bell combined to score 11 points for FIS. 

Leilani Bowker led Tiospaye Topa with 18 points with Leilani Bowker adding nine points for the Thunderhawks. 


Crazy Horse 46, Takini 43

HURON — Amerikis Fisherman and Nevaeh O’Rourke combined to score 42 points as Crazy Horse earned a win over Takini Saturday at the Dakota Oyate Challenge. 

Fisherman led the Chiefs with 23 points as the team finished 7th in this year’s tournament. O’Rourke added 19 points in the win. 

Halo Waloke wrapped up an outstanding tournament with 17 points on Saturday. Jai’ enna Big Eagle scored 10 points for Takini. 


Milbank 53, Dakota Valley 43

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Milbank to a girls basketball win over Dakota Valley at the Sacred Hoops All-Girls Classic on Saturday. 

Tyra Berry finished with 17 points, while Maurina Street had 16 points and 10 boards. Isabella Anderson had 13 points and five rebounds. 

Dakota Valley’s Ella Reinfenrath tossed in 19 points and grabbed five rebounds. Melina Snoozy added eight points. Jorja VanDenHul had six points and nine rebounds. Emma Wiese scored five points and Emersen Mead had five rebounds. 


Rapid City Stevens 68, Huron 45

HURON — Three players reached double figures as Rapid City Stevens picked up a win over Huron in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Taaliyah Porter led the Raiders with 14 points. Hailey Oswald finished with 13 points while Brittany Jones chipped in with 11 points. 

Hamtyn Heinz led Huron with 13 points while Isabelle Ellwein chipped in with 12 points.
